Review Praties - Glenorchy

I had their jingle in my head for almost 20 years before I ever stepped foot in the joint. Turns out it's actually quite good. The large potato meals give me enough leftovers for a second serving later on. Not bad for less than 15 bucks. The nachos aren't bad either and the medium size is plenty for a dinner. I recommend Mexicana topping with cheese, but I also like the Roma topping

Great food, filling, good variety. Always been a favourite place to eat, and always visit when on holidaying in the area.

Great healthy fast food. Went here first time because my partner is Tasmanian and it has been the custom in the family. For an Asian girl like me, it's very interesting, easy to make but customised with different taste (from ham and cheese to curry). I love the idea.
The place itself is very simple, don't expect fine dine, but the potato is delicious. They are also fast. For me, I can go easy with the small size (it's 1 big potato) my partner always go with the large one. You can also have half half for the dressing (or whatever it is you call it). I love their ham and cheese dressing. The waitresses are usually good, if you decide to take away because you're unable to finish it, they'd be very happy to help.
The only downfall is: they don't have EFPOS although there's an ATM machine i the building, still a bit inconvenience for me who doesn't really like carrying cash. Definitely have to come back every time we go back to Tassie.
