Cha Chis is by far my favourite Mexican in Adelaide. On Monday and Tuesdays it has all you can eat and the food is so delish. My partner and I go there at least once a month and even booked our wedding reception here. Wide range of alcohol and it’s very laid back and relaxed. Can’t go wrong.
Everybody I know loves Mexican food and there was a period where everything opening up was Mexican cuisine of some sorts. One restaurant that has been around for a while is Cha-Chi’s Mexican Cantina. Located within a motel on Portrush Road, this restaurant serves up all your classic Mexican favourites. From dips and starters, to entrees and mains, there’s something for everyone here. Like most good places, they even have a chilli rating next to the menu item to indicate the level of heat.
Delicious all you can eat buffet! Only critique is that there was no room left for dessert. The food was delicious with plenty of options. Would return!

My husband and I came here , heard the hype of this place and decide to come here.
For starters we ordered the salsa dip which was so nice. Had the perfect amount of spice to it. The coriander in the salsa dip was complementing so good also very fresh. The corn chips that came with it was a decent size. Couldn't even finish it. Glad to know this place isn't stingy with serves.
For main we had the chicken fajitas for 2. Now that was amazing. You can pick from vegetarian chicken beef or prawn. You can also have chicken and beef mixed together. It came on a sizzling hot plate (pictures attached) with vegetables. There was a seperate bowl with the fajitas wraps. Which kept warm the whole time . And there was small condiments on the side which included guacamole, salsa, cheese, sour cream and a very spicy Mexican sauce. All this was just so amazing.
So we had finished it but we didn't have that bloated feeling which was really good because we were so satisfied. So we both decided to have dessert.
We had the ice cream which came out on a cold rock that keeps cool until you finish it. It came with strawberry and chocolate sauce on the side. Also some chocolate freckles, m&ms and strawberries sliced.
Can't get over how great everything was, the service was fantastic. The lady with the blonde hair was so friendly to us and we cannot wait to come back here.
I haven't enjoyed Mexican in a while so I'm so glad this place turned out to be fantastic!! 11/10!!

Oh Cha-Chi you are an absolute joy. In a world of minimalist decor, white tiles, chalk boards and refurbished bib and bobs, Cha-Chi dares to be different by changing nothing at all. Correction, even when Cha-Chi's does change something it all comes our of the same decade so it feels like nothing has changed. Walking in to this 1970s through back you are taken over a bridge, literally a bridge that meanders parts a what I assume is suppose to be a Mexican garden scene and into a sort of anti-room were you are greeted by a busy waitress who seems to be servicing a room of 30 solo by themselves. Sitting down, depending on the day the service can be quick or slow and the decor whack you in the face with a pleasurable ode' half Mexican tourist, half set of Kingswood Country. My personal favourite is the furniture in the outer rooms, in which sits that gold pipped furniture with the velour seat cushions. Obviously this is the corporate, high roller room.
The food at Cha-Chis is your usual fare. They don't try to do anything different and nor should they. Burritos, tacos, and other meats wrapped in bready outers the standout is the quesadillas, I have had these at other places in which you are served to thinly and tiny cut sandwich wedges, not at Cha-Chis, there is enough to feed the table. Corn chips, that avocado dip and the rest of the Mexican scene are all catered for and it is all edible. Come on Tuesday and you can have all the tacos and burritos you can eat. Simple ring the bell sitting atop a mid 60s refurbished carver counter and pick your toppings.
I love Cha-Chi's for its horrible goodness.

The family restaurant is big and a bit kitch, full of amazingly eclectic decor and a nice friendly fun atmosphere.
The food is hearty mexican, with all you can eat burritos & tacos on some nights (I believe Tuesday nights) and it is open every day of the week.
The fun atmosphere, convenient location and the friendly staff keep us coming back for more! Give it a go & take the kids on an adventure in decor!
We ordered Chilli con carne and the Cha Chi lite. Food was really good, portions adequate and service prompt. Enjoyed the indoor garden. The decor is a bit tired but clean. Child friendly. Need more parking outside. I'd go back there again.
Great Mexican. I ordered the burritos and nachos and was very satisfied, being a Mexican food enthusiast. I have tried Lucky Lupitas, Montezumas, Gringos etc., Cha Chi's definitely stands out as one of the best alongside Lupitas. Recommended!
Have been dining at Cha Chi's for years and still love it. I much preferred the old location to the new one. The decore just doesn't have the same charm at this new place and is verging on tacky.

Pleasantly Surprised. My friend and I made our first visit there last night, using a Scoopon Voucher.
I chose the Chicken Cacahuate (chicken strips in a spicy peanut sauce) and my friend had the Panuchos De Camarones (Prawns in a mild chilli cream sauce). Both came in a crisp tortilla shell and were served with rice.
I thought mine was super delicious - 8/10.
My friends only complaint was the rice was a bit dry for her liking - 8/10.
For desert, I chose the Frosty Rock (vanilla ice cream on a frozen rock so the ice cream doesn't melt, served with freckles, strawberries and M&M's. My friend chose the Helado, which was 3 different varieties of ice cream with a chocolate shell.
No complaints about the desert at all - both giving 9/10.
The restaurant was quite busy for a Tuesday night - probably due to the "All you can Eat" option for $17.90.
Despite that, the service was quite quick and the waiter was very friendly. Impressed!
Our only complaint is about the parking - or the lack of it. There is basically only room for 5 cars. I had to park across the road. Very strange set up as I've never known a restaurant not to have it's own parking area before.
That aside, we had a great night and highly recommend!

Long Time Favourite. Have been dining at Cha Chis for over 5 years now.
Venue: Lacks the same charm as the old Glen Osmond Road venue, but has retained some of its colour and flair. Some could call it tacky, but I like it.
Service: Always efficient and friendly. Allow Entertainment Book users to keep voucher for next visit which is a nice touch.
Food: Consistently good, well varied and fairly priced. Favs include the steaks, the gigantic Tostada and the all you can eat weeknights.
Drinks: Again fairly priced. The various type of punch are a personal favorite.
Final words: Always satisfies.
I don't know how they do it. The decor is appalling but somehow charming. The staff are friendly. I love the chicken fajitas. Great value with entertainment book voucher (20% off).
Amazing food and service. I grew up eating Mexican food in Southern California and have been going to Zapatas for decent Mexican food.
We went to Cha Chi's tonight and I was blown away by the food and drinks. This place is amazing. EXCELLENT food and the portions are huge and the quality just great.

This is my new favourite Mexican food in Adelaide. And I am very very picky about my Mexican food!
Scoupon dinner. Used by coupon last night at Cha Chi's. The food was really good but was seated right next to the bar and cash register which was not nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Kids enjoyed themselves too
Great mexican food, recormend going on all you can eat days. This place has got decent mexican food. The old location was better but i dont really care about the decor. Its pretty expensive so i recormend going on there all you can eat days. mmmm if you like that nacho cheese your in for a special treat. I go there and order nachos, after nachos after nachos. It was so flavorfull and great tasteing, i had an explosive mexigasm. I tell you the cheese sause wasent the only white liquid around my table. Overall great food but go on an all you can eat day.

I went to cha chis as a group if 6 of us with 3 scoopons. We are really enjoyed the food! The tasting platter was nice along with the nachos. We then got fajitas which tasted just like the ones I ate in Mexico! To finish we got the chocolate nachos which were awesome. I highly recommend the food here and we all left so full and satisfied. A suggestion would be to stay clear of the burritos and enchiladas and stick with the steak, prawn and fajita dishes.
Go for all-you-can-eat tacos, nachos, burritos. These are tasty and assembled fresh in front of you. Filling but tasty and good value!
