Review Hatsuhana Japanese Restaurant - Gold Coast

Absolutely fantastic! I wish I had gotten the name of the chef we had because he was so engaging and fun, he made the experience really enjoyable for all. My husband and I dined with our 10 month old baby girl at one of the Teppanyaki tables and she was both terrified and thrilled all at the same time! She loved it and so did we! Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and service was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Fresh, high quality and generous servings. A high end Japanese restaurant with authentic Japanese ambience. The staff are friendly and efficient.

What a pleasure to watch this master chef in action. It was like a dinner theatre. The food was delicious and the lovely staff amazing.

Wow what a great night. We had a birthday dinner for my sister , 5 adults and 4 children. The cooking was sensational, entertaining and delicious. Customer service was fantastic, the staff listened to our needs and made sure the children would love every minute. The chef was incredibly friendly, talented and kept us all entertained. A birthday surprise at the end made my sisters night. Thank you for a wonderful evening it was the best dining experience ever. A big 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything here is great. The food was very fresh and tasted amazing (the steak and it was cooked to perfection and the seafood was very flavourful). Their food is halal and the chef had no problems cooking without wine (sake). Speaking of the chef, Ryu was amazing, extremely skilled and socially a delight to talk to. Definitely a place to go to with your friends and family for a special night (prices can get a big high depending on what you order compared to other teppanyaki restaurants)

Seriously amazing food and a really fun experience. The service was also amazing between the teppanyaki chef and the servers topping up our water consistently. Everything was top notch.

Great Japanese restaurant hidden inside Sea World Resort. Offers some creative fusion dishes. The service was friendly and efficient. The early bird special was great value for money. Try and book ahead as this place gets booked out quickly. They are only open Wednesday to Sunday night's.

We came here for my brother's birthday, meaning we had a massive order and lots of people. Food came out in 10 mins flat, so quick that we had to play table tetris. The staff were very friendly, helpful and laughed off our annoying presence. 10/10, highly recommend :)

Delicious, authentic Japanese food. The service is fantastic, family friendly and food is prepared amazingly quickly. The difficulty is deciding what to order from the amazing menu. The highlights were the oysters, chirashi zushi and futomaki.

We love our Japanese food as both my husband and I have been to Japan several times and love the cuisine and culture. So when we happened to be staying at Sea World Resort and saw hatsuhana, we thought we'd try it for convenience (although being in a resort, we didn't have high expectations). So we were very pleasantly surprised when the food was delicious! Reminded me of when I used to live in Japan. Nice presentation and good authentic flavours. The teppanyaki was very entertaining to watch but I had the tempura which was oishi katta! Service was excellent too! Overall a wonderful dining experience!

My friend recommended me this place so here we were in Hatsuhana.
The restaurant looked very tidy and clean which was great.
Had some Sapporo beer to start the night. Beer is always good!
Food was also not too bad, had some roast duck which was my favorite.
Over all, it was a pleasant dining experience!

We went there as it was recommended by our friend who lives in Gold Coast. We went for the al la carte but I guess the teppanyaki seems more interesting as we saw the chef throwing utensils up in the air and throw whole bowl of fried rice for eaters to catch.

For our dinner, we ordered a kid meal for my son which is average in taste and presentation.

We ordered the early bird special sashimi which is not bad but not extraordinary.

The service is good though. A waitress went around each table to help eaters to take group photos.

Had an early bird family deal in this Japanese restaurant which is locating in the Seaworld resort. Only $79.00 is a bargain. We visited in group of four people and the content of this famaily package was spectacular. We only need to order two more dishes that our stomaches were full. Decor and set-up are good and the service as well. While we were dining in, there was a group of diners enjoying the teppanyaki, which gave us the chance to enjoy the free show. Overall dining experience was brilliant.

Not an enjoyable experience. One of our mains was forgotten about (only two were ordered) and the a lar carte menu was very basic. The terriyaki beef was meant to be served with steamed vegetables- this included soggy carrots wrapped in cabbage- very dissapointing

The best!!. Eaten here a few nights during our stay to the Gold Coast. We love it so much!! We got the early bird family meal and everything was so fresh and so tasty! I highly recommend it to everyone! A must is to have Vegetable Tempura!!

We were staying at the resort and after reading terrible reviews for the buffet, we decided to try this place. We were very impressed. We ordered the $60 set menu each and for the kids set menu for our 8 year old. All aspects of the meal were fantastic. The sashimi was amazing, the accompaniments to each dish were great as well. Our bill came to $150 after using the 25% coupon for 3 people, which included a bottle of wine, beer and a soft drink. Service was fantastic, the waitresses were only too happy to assist, the maître d visited our table numerous times to check how we were and to have a chat. As an avid Japanese food fan, I would highly recommend this place.

Really good - food is authentic and spanking fresh. The 6pm early bird special is an absolute bargain. The best place to eat in the resort. Probably some of the best Japanese on Gold Coast.

Excellent food and service. I didn't have high expectations because it was located in a resort (Seaworld) but actually it was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the night and you couldn't fault the friendly and attentive service. We had very good seafood sashimi, sushi, as well as a delicious duck sushi and the highlight a type of salad on chili noodles which they mixed together at the table, which was spectacular, but unfortunately I can't remember what it was called.

The only concern I had was that the 'Japanese' beers they stocked were, as is often the case nowdays, all fakes brewed under license in Australia, Canada and Vietnam. But that was the only negative - the food was great.

Great fun!!!. If you are staying at Sea World or just visiting the area this restaurant is a must do! The food is delicious and overall a wonderful fun night out especially if you enjoy Teppanyaki. We enjoyed a sashimi platter which was fresh and light. Even our five year old, who tried sashimi for the first time, said it was great. A terrific way to introduce your child to the wonderful world of Japanese cuisine. The service was attentive, friendly and timely. We have fond memories of this restaurant now and look forward to returning. I was blown away by our chef. His last trick with the salt, before departing, was truly unique! I won't spoil the surprise. You will just have to visit and see for yourself. Enjoy!

Great sauce. The best thing about this dish is the delicious teriyaki sauce. It makes one want to finish every last grain of rice. The prawns are big and yummy.

Delicious. We were staying at the resort, and taking advantage of some of the specials proved for an affordable night, with some of the best sashimi i've had in a long time. Whilst we weren't having teppanyaki, we noticed the chef being very entertaining to the patrons, and wished we could have gone back for some.

Good food, good service. Would dine again.
