Review Hard Grind - Gold Coast

Kat & Dav Adventures
We were bracing ourselves to return here knowing it was under new management and thankfully it didn't disappoint. Staff were very friendly, food came out fast (to be fair, we were the only ones there!) and it was very tasty - especially considering the fair price. Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Value for money: 💰💰💰💰💰/5 Customer service: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️/5 Atmosphere: 😍😍😍/5 Will visit again: ✅

Discovered this place on a morning walk. Friendly and prompt service. Coffee was lovely, food was a decent size serving but just average. This place could be a hidden gem just needs a little more love and care in food preparation and presentation. The hash browns were the highlight of the meal. Would go again but not in a hurry.

Nice little café tucked away in Margaret Avenue, just around the corner from Broadbeach South light rail stop. Pleasant inside, with plenty of seating. Outside seating, near the tennis court, gets the late morning sun. Very peaceful, away from the Gold Coast Highway. The coffee was very good as well. And very friendly staff 👍

I was down with my young familiy from Sydney for the weekend. And we had breakfast at the Hard Grind Cafe. And to be completely honest this was by far the worst breakfast i have had in a long time. My big breakfast was all undercooked. Soggy floppy bacon old tasting bread. Pancakes came out stone cold. The coffee was just milk and the hot chocolate was just warm milk. Terrible breakfast dont waste your time on HARD GRIND CAFE RUBBISH.

Very very slow service and it wasn’t busy inside We watched a women cancel her order and there was only the one staff but the took a long time and they were very unorganised. We simply walked out after 20min of waiting for two take away coffees. We should of asked for a refund but by that time we had to go and it would have only taken longer.

My wife and I had a delightful breakfast here with the pancakes, the breakfast special, an iced mocha and a latte. All were presented well and tasted great! I would definitely return. Only slight downside was there were only two people working which made it take a bit of time to get our food, so not the ideal place if you’re in a rush.

Coffee was just okay; not terrible, not great. Breakfast was reasonable and the price was reasonable too. If you want the best brunch ever, this is not your place. If you want a reasonable breakfast on a family holiday, it might be your place. Service was fast & friendly.

Great breaky food, one of the best hollandaise sauces I have had! Nice cafe area, quick kitchen.
