So happy we finally made it up to the Aviary! The setting and decor of the interior is very well done - funky and cozy, and the exterior is a great spot for a hang out. Definitely recommend catching the sunset outside. The espresso martinis were great, as were the other cocktails we tried and the PIZZA! All hail Stefano the king of the wood fired oven. The crust was perfect and the topping combinations were fresh and well balanced. The live music on Friday evening was a great addition. It is a small sharing menu plus the pizzas, so don’t go expecting a full menu. The only menu addition I wished for was some sort of salad or veggie options. Can’t wait to come back and bring friends!

Fabulous modern venue, great staff and atmosphere. Fresh quality food and amazing cocktails! 🍸🍸🍹 Cameron created a cocktail I called ‘The Cameron Special’, using lavender, cherry liquor and… ?? not sure what the other ingredients were but it was fantastic!!👏
Highly recommend checking it out!!

Second time of late to this restaurant where the service has been woeful! Red headed waitress has been beyond rude to us both times and it is not a cheap experience! Chef is great & makes great pizzas however we will not be going back. Absolutely foul customer service.

Visited in it's temporary incarnation as Aviary pop-up in the cabana bar and lounge area of Southport sharks. Staff were friendly and attentive. They had a DJ playing pretty groovy beats. The setting is really comfortable and cosy but numbers are very limited so booking is essential. The menu is limited but the pizzas were really excellent. Look forward to visiting when they return to usual location

Went on Sunday for lunch & drinks...thoroughly enjoyed! Pizza was delicious & cocktails were beautiful & tasty. Thank you to the bartender who rearranged our table as well - I really appreciated that! Shame the weather didn’t allow our group to see the rooftop but we enjoyed our time regardless. Will be coming back 😊

My mother and I attended the Aviary Bar for her first ever High Tea on Mother's Day (at $45 each)
We were both highly disappointed with the lack of preparation and service
Our booking was for 12pm but we couldn't even get upstairs until 12.20pm
Mum and I were lead to a bar stool and bench for our seating. The reality of an aged woman getting on a bar stool was clearly lost on them. They did reseat us upon request and we sat at a small round table
Our High Tea was placed in front of us. We had no cutlery or serviettes. We had to break off bits of cheese etc by hand. We had no spoon for the panecotta dessert. Eventually, upon request we were given cutlery
All the food was flavourless and tasted the same. Our woodfire pizza pockets were a disappointment as there was all dough very little filling
We were poured a glass of Prosecco without asking if we wanted it. I requested a serve of orange juice so we could attempt to drink it. A tiny thimble of orange juice was provided.
When we went to leave they noticed we hadn't eaten much. We explained it was tastlest and very disappointed with the service
The Duty Manager (I think) offered us a cocktail as compensation. We declined and left
As a result of our experience we are giving one star

Such a cute hidden gem! I never even knew this rooftop existed until word of mouth recently. Great views for sunset, would definitely recommend for the views. The barista made amazing cocktails as well!! When you walk in you can go left and be indoor at the bar and pizza area or you can go right which takes you outside to what’s called “The Nest”.
