Review Carl's Jr - Gold Coast

Only my second time eating here as we don't have a Carl's Jnr where I live. So many menu items I wanted to order but ended up taking the healthier option and order a Chargrilled Chicken Salad and regular hand cut fries. Missed taking a photos cause I was that hungry! 😆 Loved the fries, the seasoning is nice. The salad was neatly arranged and tasty, however I would have liked more of it. I felt it was on the small portion for the price. But that wouldn't stop me from eating here again. Polite staff. Quick service.

When opened burgers were on point. Unfortunately burgers always cold. Cheese doesn't go close to melting and just doesn't sit right eating it. Given it a few times over last few months and same. Chicken burgers always hot but beef are almost cold.

I went to order six sundaes for my family and I, and I paid and sat down to wait, looking at my receipt which said I paid for six shakes instead. I walked up to the girl and told her that she wrote my order wrong, and with a quick sorry she got her employee to write a refund. To make matters worse, we waited for our sundaes for almost 15 minutes. I walk up to the counter to check if our order was even being made, but the girl was only on the first sundae. Poor service and communication for front counter, I assume they prioritise customers through drive through only, with us waiting 20 minutes for our order -- so disappointing.

Burger was okay, meat didn't seem very hot. The drink tasted weird, like coke and raspberry Fanta mixed together, really unpleasant. My girlfriend got the chili fries which were a massive disappointment, bland and very small serve for 8 dollars. The star nuggets are tasteless and greasy. I haven't had Carls in ages but I can easily say I won't ever have it again ever.

Horrible experience with drive through!! Waited 15 minutes at the speaker felt a little silly but just assumed the speaker wasn’t working … but people started queuing behind and then I watch someone drive up to the other speaker and proceeded to order ! I politely said hello maybe they didn’t hear or see me ?? Watched 2 other cars get served before me so I drove on just to let them know that maybe that speaker isn’t working… only to see and hear the person behind me getting served ?! Drove out and saw that both speakers were working as both sides were being served. I understand if you’re busy or something just a bit of communication would be good ! Disappointed

very disappointed! only been to this carl’s twice. first time was great second was not. onion rings were cold as well as chips. patty’s were dry and actually hate to eat. the only ones in store waiting for dinner and it took 30 minutes! 3 people and got a meal each + onion rings to share and costed $70 would have rather spent this money at another restaurant. wont be back

I’ve gone to the Carls Jr in Hope Island for the first time two weeks before and it was amazing, so thought I’d come here. I raved about it to my family and decided to take them here. The fries were amazing but our burgers were cold and not that tasty, which is disappointing.

Burgers are always great here. If I didn't enjoy the burgers as much as I do, I would get the fries. Love it!

Open late, great food, great customer service. Portion sizes are great.<br/><br/>Not my favourite Carl's Jnr to go to. It's kind of a gamble on if you're going to get the right food or not. Which you usually don't realise until you get home and it's too late. If I go back to this store I will be double checking before we drive off that's for sure.

Chilly cheese fries tasted good but it would’ve been better if the cheese was actually melted <br/>I enjoyed the Superstar burger more than the portobello mushroom thick burger. The superstar burger tasted a little similar to whopper from hungry jacks. <br/>I enjoyed the mild grilled taste to the meat and of course the free refill of drinks. One problem was that I asked to customise the salad on the burger and they did it wrong the first time and then I asked them to change it and they still didn’t bring me the right salad on my burger. <br/>They are open til late which is good and a lot of options on their menu to try.

Never tried Carl’s Jr. in the states, so can’t really compare to how it is from there. But it’s not bad, similar to hungry jacks but with a bit more flavor. The chili cheese fries were okay, I tried the superstar burger which was very similar to the whopper. They did mess up the order a couple of times, asked for pickles twice and still forgot to put them on. Would come again, if it was nearby aye.

Extremely disappointed! Never returning again. Staff were rude. Ordered the advertised Famous Star burger combo for $8.95 and was told by the staff member, we don't have that burger anymore. I said its advertised on your banners outside your store and on the menu board. Why advertise something you don't sell??? Also asked to upgrade the meal to include a shake and asked what the difference would be, and the staff said no extra cost. However they charged me an extra $4.00. The manager argued about it and said you should of returned the meal if you weren't happy and refused to refund the money. After 10 minutes, she decided to refund the $4. This was extremely poor customer service. This would never happen at Hungry Jacks. They would give you free fries if you told them there was not enough chips in the packet and refund overcharges without disputes. Burgers are tiny and there were only 5 fries in the packet. Also they advertise a family meal to be 3 burgers for $30 when every other takeaway place has 4 burgers, chips, drinks etc.. This place is a rip off and not worth the money spent!..Someone needs to start hiring experienced Managers.
