Review Tuk Tuk Thai - Gold Coast

One star review is probably too generous for this restaurant. Our meal was awful. The stir fry rice was quite raw. The soup tasted and looked like dirty dishwater. What an absolute rip off. Highly recommend you don't waste your hard earned money at this place.

All the staff were warm and welcoming. I would have preferred a bit more chilli but I didn't ask for any so that's on me. The soups were lovely and the veg basil stir fry was yum!

Got take away tonight. Peanut Stir Fry and 2 pad Thai's with tofu. Quite possibly the worse Thai had in a long time. The Pad Thai was pink (like review below) everything with a pink colour and had a weird taste. Hardly any tofu in it. Peanut Stir Fry was odd and gelatinous regarding the sauce with an almost water base. It all had no real taste, what you did taste was odd. $50 worth of dinner that we had to go get something else on top of cause inedible. Too far to go back and ask for a refund. Steer clear of this place, used to be half ok....now just a case of not if but when you prob get food poisoning.

Friends and I ordered takeaway... The Prawn Pad Thai was pink in colour, luke warm, lacking flavour, no coriander on it and had very little peanuts and egg. We ordered Tom Ka and Tom Yum soup and both were flavourless and watery with raw onion and only mushrooms in it. The only saving grace was the fresh prawns, which is the reason we give a 2 star and not 1 star. Really disappointing!

It’s too expensive and we ordered two dishes but we waited almost two hours for the meals come. Also the service is terrible I will never come back again

Well frankly not a very happy experience regarding food tastes. Expecting way better but disappointed with Chicken TomYum soup. Had way better soup in other Thai place and infact lov TomYum like so many out there. fried rice was good. Liked that. Neat place and customer service is good too. Just couldn't be happier with the soup any more. Hope next time would be better.
