Review Cafe Brunelli Golden Grove - Golden Grove

Went here for an outing with friends and wasn’t too impressed. Walking into the restaurant, it was quite well kept with a warm feel, however while I was sat down, there was a multitude of flies bothering our table. Ordered the fish and chips special, and my surrounding friends ordered the blue swimmer and carbonara. My chips were well cooked with a complementing tartare sauce, however my fish was mushy and tasteless, with a standard side salad. My friends carbonara was initially quite tasty, however there was a pool of oil accumulated in her bowl throughout the meal. As for my friend’s blue swimmer pasta, it was also quite flavourful and didn’t leave any residuals. I’d highly recommend staying away from deep fried fish dishes, and keeping to simpler meals that are a bit more resilient to high throughput cooking.

Nice friendly service. I had the Pollo Chilli, the chicken was tender and moist and the sauce had a nice chilli kick to it. The coffee was good, and a must-try is the banana caramel tart, it was awesome!

Very surprised. Food was great. Service was good. Menu has plenty of choice. Dessert heaven, so much to choose from. Music too loud. But apart from that. Definitely would go again 😀

Went here recently for a family breakfast as my mother recommended it over another cafe. The pancakes were powdery and found a small piece of possibly cling wrap in the cream on the plate. Everyone ordered a dish with poached eggs and all the eggs were well cooked with absolutely no egg yolk ooze. It was disappointing.

New management are super friendly. Very accomodating and great service, food was cooked nicely as well. Had a problem with one of our meals and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Thank you so much!!

Golden Grove Cafe have Lovely friendly staff. Always clean tables, fresh water available. Food never disappoints, always have a beautiful, well presented meal given to me that tastes lovely. Plenty of parking available, this is my go to place for Lovely breakfasts and pizzas.

I am very confused due to mixed service provided to me Sunday. I had called early in the morning to ask questions about having my birthday dinner there that evening the girl I spoke to was very polite but I wasn’t sure on numbers or a time at that stage just had some questions which she was extremely easy to speak with and happy to help with all my inquiries I told her I would call back with a time and final numbers if I was going to go ahead with my birthday dinner, she confirmed that was fine and to call back when I was ready to make my booking if I planned to go ahead I planned a time with family and how many could make it so I made my call back just after 4pm that afternoon to the restaurant to book my table I asked to reserve for 7:45 the girl who answered was also polite and said yes and continued to move forward by asking how many people I was wanting my table for, my total was 17 it was then in her tone of voice she turned me down. I was told I wouldn’t be able to get a table as the night was completely booked out and there was to many bookings for the night, I understood completely as I did leave it late notice I had a friend call me next day as she was a customer in the restaurant roughly same time as I wanted my dinner, asked me why I wasn’t there with family, I said sadly they couldn’t fit me in I left it too late and they got booked out in which confused her as she said there was plenty of space available I am left feeling extremely confused as to why I was turned away, I wasn’t offered a different time or nothing just told no I don’t understand the reason behind this, why couldn’t my booking couldn’t be accepted when there was space in restaurant at that time, I have a sour taste in my mouth regarding this restaurant after receiving that phone call from my friend. One thing I do assure - my family and friends from now on will boycott this Brunelli location -

So far the worst restaurant i have ever been to. the food we ordered was undercooked when we got it, the chicken we ordered was still raw and on top of that, when we ordered a seafood pizza, the prawns were also undercooked- in fact not cooked at all, along with the calamari. Overall was the worst experience I've ever had at a dine-in place.
