Came here on a Sunday night, staff was really welcoming and sat us quickly. I would definitely recommend the yum squid and the yum beef (pictured on the left side) as i love how fresh and tasty they are! Will definitely eat here again :)

I have been wanting to write a review for Manee Siam for a few months now. We visited in late May and we are still talking about the Green Chicken Curry, Basil Fried Rice, Thai Red Curry and Pandan Chicken. All abundant serves, fresh, aromatic and delicious! Basil Fried rice was a stand out with plump prawns, tender chicken pieces and fresh herbs. We enjoyed the ambiance and decor. We felt like we were in Thailand. We would like to return in warmer seasons so we can sit outside in the courtyard so the kids can enjoy the fishpond. Beautiful, friendly service and a very reasonably priced evening. BYO on offer is always a good option but some nice wines on the list too. Best Thai on this side of the city! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love this place, food is always made fresh for your order, lots of vegetables and protein of choice. Prices are great, staff are wonderful, huge variety of food choices. Spices and chilli can be adapted to your liking. Book ahead as they are often busy. Easy oarking and bathrooms ok. Dining outside as well.

Service was a little slow, but they were busy and it's understood that many businesses are struggling for staff during covid times. Five of us had the $35.00 per head banquet option. The serves were generously proportioned and very good quality. Sometimes banquets can be a bit of a rip off, but definitely not the case here. Really good wine list that is also reasonably priced. We bought some wine from the wine list, but also did BYO with some bottles. Corkage = $10.00 per bottle. Will we go back ? Definitely.

Food was good but we waited it about 1 hour. The reason is they lost our order and tell us after 40 mins. We ordered Basil and Pad Thai. 10% discount for the late.

Beautiful old house transformed into a a restaurant. The outdoor space is nice and elegant. The inside is typical Thai dining with Thai sculptures and artwork. The service was very good! Girls were always smiling and happy to help. I ordered a chicken curry panang and it was nice not too grease with lots of vegetables and enough for maybe 2 small servings. The seafood mix was good too very very mild and with lots of cashews and vegetables. Great prices! Curry goes for around 14 dollars and appetizers goes for 7 to 9 dollars. Great experience!

Nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Decent portions Would go back again.

Beautiful restaurant that has inside and outside dining.Staff were helpful. Food was ok, just not authentic. SomTham papaya salad was very disappointing. Lacks zing and crunch. Pad Thai was the only dish that made it, with generous amounts of crushed peanuts (better if roasted). Most of the dishes were not spicy at all.

Friendly staff and lots of vegan options! Our new take away joint! Cheep Prices and Average servings order 3 mains if hungry and eating for 2!

Nice Thai restaurant on goodwood road. Happened to drop after watching a play in independent theatre. Staff is friendly and provided great accommodation according to what we wanted . It was cold and we had tom yum soup along with skews and stir fry. They were delist! And not too pricey as well. Highly recommended!

We have been ordering from this delightful little restaurant for ever, locals of the area, absolutely love it. Very clean, amazing food. Even our kids love it which is bordering on a miracle!!!

Had a fantastic night with my extended family of 20 people. Staff were kind, efficient and very helpful.
We selected the $35 banquet along with other options for vegetarians and etc and all of us were very impressed.

Very disappointing night out. My partner and I had been before and found if quite pleasant so decided to give it another go. Unfortunately this ended up being a big mistake. The service was very slow and the waiter managed to get our order wrong. When we finally got our main dishes the steamed rice was cold and the beef dish was barely warm. The waiter was apologetic and offered to replace the beef dish but we had had enough so asked for a replacement dish to take away instead. This also took forever and we sat there feeling very uncomfortable. When we finally got the bill we had still been charged for the beef dish which we refused to pay for. The front of house man/waiter then proceeded to argue with us and ask "was it really that cold". Finally a lady appeared and gave the nod for the beef dish to be removed from the bill. In a last minute final gesture the front of house/waiter guy said "next time ring ahead so we can make sure we prepare the dish fresh for you" - what the?? The fact is we had a bad experience and the manager should have tried to rectify the situation by offering us some discount or a voucher for our next visit. We would then have not written this review.

Wouldn't recommend. I ordered the beef basil - takeaway. No flavour. Not much in the container ( barely enough for one person). Won't be returning

The meals where AMAZING and the people that work there are super nice. While they where bringing out the meal there was a miscommunication between which of the dishs was a meal and which one was the banquet. I ended up getting the banquet which was wrong because I ordered the meal but I didn't mind because that meant more food for me. 😀

Delicious Thai favourites like pad Thai and green chicken curry but awful service! Leave you waiting for yonks before coming over to take your order- you almost have to wave them over for service which really is a pet hate of mine having to work in hospitality myself.

Wow!!! This truly has to be one of the most authentic and affordable Thai restaurants in Adelaide.

A fantastic range of well priced, generously sized dishes with some of the most sincere and friendly service I have ever received.

The Thai Fried Rice is perfect every time, accompanied by my favorite Red Beef Curry and steamed vegetables makes for an almost medicinal meal.

If you have never tried Thai food before I strongly recommend Manee Siam

Bye Bye Chinese food hello Thai!!! Where have you been all my life?

Thanks again and we will most definitely be back to eat here again.
Laura
Not the best Thai restaurant in Adelaide, not at all, but it's really cosy and the staff are lovely. The Pad Thai was quite good but lacked that wok-char that a good Pad Thai has.

Very pleased with dinner! Service was quick and portions sizes were great. We tried the golden bags, soup, satay chicken and pad thai and all were delicious and authentic. Staff are very friendly and thoughtful. Great value as well!

50 minutes wait, never again. Went there tonight and the restaurant was slightly busy. After 30 minutes, we hadn't received our drink yet. 40 minutes later, our drinks arrived after asking for them twice( 2 coconut juice). We decided to leave after 50 minutes of waiting. On the way out, we saw people on other tables who arrived after us had their meals already. Very disappointed with whatever systems they're using to serve customers.

Always great. My wife and i always order the Pad Thai and Spring Rolls. great portions. always friendly staff - family run place with little Manee Siam toddlers running in and out of the kitchen. More than once we have had their kids sit and eat with us - very cute.

Take people you like here!. Delicious food at a great price.

Poor service, ordered 3x dishes and drinks. Came out in 3 stages! Warm beer. After complain 'but i gave you ice' wouldn't say authentic thai.
Whine N Diner
Delicious and authentic Thai food. And as an Asian, I was very happy with the serving size. Just the right amount. Left satisfied. Second only to my favourite Pira Thai.

Love this place! Genuine food by genuine family.

A lovely inexpensive restaurant if its dinner for 2.... But second time round it unfortunately lacked in service. Booked the smaller room for 10 but on arrival was told they had another group in that room and we were set in a busy, noisy room, trying to compete to hear each other. Drinks and meal order was taken together giving us a rushed feeling. 1 entree was forgotten and then the table service just disappeared after our meals were served.
The upside was the the meals are presented beautifully and tasted amazing!
They forgotten 1 meal and a number of drinks on the bill which made up for the bad start.
Would go only again with a maximum of 4 people.
Brunswick Coffee Snob
Underwhelming suburban Thai. Orange pad Thai is always a bad sign.

Beef was a little tough, as was the squid, and chicken in the fried rice was dry. But for the price it was pretty good I guess.

A pleasant mid-week surprise!. I absolutely love Thai food and I was not disappointed. The food was really good - creamy and very tasty - and the serving size quite sufficient.
Service seemed lovely but somewhat confused. We had difficulty getting their attention. They do not serve wine by glass. We therefore decided to have coconut juice which was nice, but maybe slightly sweet for my liking.
All in all, a lovely surprise as I rarely eat in that area.

Loved it. Yum beef entree was awesome as was our main. Nice atmosphere and good service. Comfiest dining chairs ever

I eat here regularly as I live on the same block. The standard of stir frys and Thai curry has always been very good. Especially considering a typical main course here is around 35 percent cheaper than some of the ' cooler ' places to eat Thai in Unley and Hyde Park. The food stacks up well against these other restaurants as well. my only warning is that due to the cheap prices and good food, the place is crazy busy on Friday and Saturday night. This causes the food and service to suffer especially with big groups. Eat here on an alternative night and enjoy. Drinks are also very reasonably priced.

Not a Pleasant Experience. We were recommended to dine here with our party of eight(2 children),
Overcrowded, average food, mediocre table service and a 2 HOUR wait for our main course!
We arrrived at 6.30 so children could be bedded on time. Main course arrived at 8.30pm!!
Never again!

Poor quality, poor service - you get what you pay for.. This place is relatively cheap compared to other thai restaurants in adelaide, however service is lacking and the food is lacking in flavour and authenticity.
Small children running in and out of the kitchen and hiding under tables was very disturbing and dangerous at the same time, and staff were quite rude upon arrival.

Amazing food! Authentic, well priced, well proportioned food. A hidden gem!!
Ilovegoodfood
Great food and price. This is among one of my favourite places to eat. The food is so good and the prices are also cheap. I have not yet been disappointed with anything on the menu. Just don't expect much of a wine selection especially if you usually order by the glass. The atmosphere indoors are cosy great for winter, and the outdoor seating is great for summer.
Mr. White
A decent Tom Kha and a really good massaman curry was had here tonight. Of particular note was the fall-apart beef in that massaman. The prices are great and the service is really polite. Fantastic.

It was very busy (good sign) however the service wasn't the greatest. Took 20mins for them to take our order, then 30mins after for them to bring it out... Food was good so thumbs up for that, but I would encourage others to get take away and save the dine in experience for another day
Hungry In Hawthorn
Cheap but not so cheerful. Went early last week with the kids for a quick meal. They only had one other table but we werent welcomed with open arms. The staff hardly smiled the whole time we were there. Satay chicken was nice, larb chicken ok. Pad Thai fine and stirfry was ok. All in all was very cheap but nothing special. No music and no airflow. Needs a bit of an overhaul.

Hmm. After reading the reviews on here I thought I would suprise my husband by taking him here.

Firstly, NO-ONE bothered to ask us for drinks or order after a waiter walked in the room looked around and walked out 3 times. So ordered at the counter, no issue.

Secondly, ordered my husband a 'beam and coke', waitress wrote down 'coke' I clarified with 'so thats a jim beam and coke' ... he just got a coke, but managed to end up getting his drink.

Now, aside from that the food WAS tasty and cheap, so thats a plus!

This is a cheap and cheerful restaurant with tasty Thai food. Come here when we can't be bothered to cook.

Not a bad experience at this place. The dish I had could have been better, however, the people I was with said their dishes were good, so I’ll have to give this place the benefit of the doubt.
We celebrated at Manee Siam Thai Restaurant in Goodwood, as I had read many positive reviews regarding this supposedly cheap but tasty restaurant - in other words, good food & good value!
Azp74
Of course, the icing on the cake was how ludicrously cheap and good our meal was. We spent $30 a head, which included a generous tip (so we could easily divide the bill by three!) and included the entrées, mains, rice, one dessert (ice cream and lychees – I don’t think you need a description of that!) and drinks.

Our friends took the six of us along to Manee Siam which is one of the regular local haunts. We sat out the in the front courtyard.
