Review Top Point Cafe - Gosford

Delicious breakfast. We had French toast with berries and banana fritters. Yum. The service needs to be improved though. On both occasions we were there people who arrived after us had their orders taken first which was annoying. We also dined in for lunch and that was pretty good too.

We went for a mother's Day lunch. They were amazing we had 3 toddlers under 4 and there was a colouring in table for them. The food was amazing and they let us bring our own cupcakes. The staff were very nice! Would organise to come back!

Best food we’ve had out in a really long time and great prices, staff were lovely! We came for lunch one day and breaky the next and will return again tomorrow.. we are THAT happy with service and quality, freshness and tastiness of food! Great menu with plenty of options. Also delicious coffee. Highly recommend!

Absolutly love this place. Always dine outside, just to enjoy the gardens. Its near empty on a Tuesday afternoon so lunch and a walk around the gardens afterwards is fantastic when you just need to destress for a little while.

I ate at this place recently. Although the food was good, the coffee was terrible, I highly recommend not ordering any. The cutlery and glasses had quite clearly not been polished, they were simply dirty, I refused to use them. Our poor waiter was quite clearly being treated badly by other staff, presumably a manager. She was lovely and doing well despite this. If they aren’t going to treat their staff with respect, I’m not going to be returning.

I tried the roast beef lunch. Best I've ever had. I'm left craving the jus that still makes my mouth water. Everything was cooked to perfection for my taste. Vegetables had enhanced flavours. Yorkshire pudding was huge. I cant wait to eat there again. Glad I decided to try something other than their pork belly that I love there too.

I love the Japanese gardens, so you'd expect the cafe to be top quality. Wrong. I booked a table so that my family could enjoy a lunch and stroll in the gardens. They had to organise the table after we arrived like it wasn't ready. None of us knew if it was table service or if we had to order at the counter. We had to flag down a waitress to ask our question, who had said that she will take our order. I would have rather dealt with this young girl but we ended up with the older lady. My sister had to leave, and asked if she could get the Caesar salad to go. The woman argued saying that it wouldn't taste nice if it was takeaway. Then proceeded to say that the cook couldn't do it takeaway. My cousin ordered it and it was toast with a bit of lettuce and poached eggs. My other sister found a hair in her "ragu" which was essentially spaghetti. What I found most concerning is that one of the staff was wearing a mid rift top, exposing her stomach. This is a health and safety concern. Staff needs to be properly dressed for the hospitality industry. Food is over priced, staff rude, improperly dressed, long wait time for mediocre food. Just take a short walk to Sweet Caroline instead.

What's happened! We have been here at least 5 times in the past 12 months and each visit was an enjoyable experience. Today was a disaster!! Staff got orders mixed up with another table. My dish arrived within a minute of sitting down turns out it was meant for another customer who told me had been waiting ages for his food Meanwhile my husband had to sit and wait for his meal. I ordered barramundi fish pie and I had to send it back to the kitchen - pastry was microwaved, soggy and greasy. Has the cafe changed chefs or management!???
