Excellent and extremely generous serving of fresh Persian cuisine. Restaurant looks extremely inviting and server addressed all our needs.

Quiet and well located small restaurant in Surry Hills with a helpful waiter and tasty menu. The meat was cooked well and the dip and naan bread was on point. PersianLicious is a charming place for a quiet weeknight date.

Generous portions, delicate flavours - a great combination. This is a small warm restaurant with quiet and unobtrusive great service to match the atmosphere. No loud overbearing food and cocktail attendants to ruin the lovely atmosphere. Cocktail bar is great. Really enjoyed my visit. Thanks.

Best quality food served, very tasty and pleasing, happy with the proportions! Filled me up for sure ! One of the best Persian restaurants I had dinned at and will be coming coming back for sure! Thank you for the amazing customer service we received! And plus the Nun was the best I had ever had in Sydney!!

The food is ok. The presentation not that good. The wines are cheap ($4 a glass) but not good. I couldn’t finish drinking my wine. The service could be better, we sat down and we wanted to share the plates and the waitress said we couldn’t share. Then we asked why and she said it was small. So she placed the water on the table and never poured it for us and never came back with another bottle. I’m saying this because the restaurant was empty, only our table and a family. So I expected a better service. If it was busy we would understand. The mains are a bit pricey for what it is.

After dining at this restaurant, Persian is my least favourite cuisine. Be warned. Stay away. Service was virtually non existent. After ten minutes, I had to walk over to the kitchen and call out for staff. Small bottle of water which was not filled, plates stacked on a small table and weren't taken away. Chicken wings : Lemon and covered in citric acid. Too acidic and unpleasant. Eggplant dip : Thick and lumpy. Lamb shank main : a small piece of meat ( about 50g) , two large bones and a plate full of dry rice with dill. Flavour was off, disappointing the main was mainly rice. The chicken skewer : $22 for a skewer of dry meat. Rip off. Ordered rice and it was reheated from the fridge. Tasteless and dry. Cucumber and tomato salad was in a small bowl with olive oil and lemon. Underwhelming. Naan bread was yeasty. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, would not recommend this place. Avoid like the plague and don't bother. Stay away. I can see why the other table left majority of the food as well.

We were able to get a table despite arriving without a reservation on Valentine’s Day. However, the restaurant had sold out of a lot of the dishes. Luckily for me, I had the last serving of zereshk polo; a hearty dish of Chicken Maryland in a rich tomato based sauce served with with barberry saffron Persian rice. The saffron tinted rice is studded with the sweet and sour barberries and is a dish I’d come back for. The restaurant did seem understaffed on the night with just the one waiter taking care of drinks and serving food, but he did an admirable job.

First time I've had persian food in Sydney. Saw skewer kebabs on the menu and thought it'd be similar to lebanese cuisine however it's actually different!

Had:
-start off with a persian signature cocktail (grey goose with pomegranate juice).
-Kotlet: homemade ground lamb patty (it also has veggies in it). Thoroughly enjoyed.
-Falafel; both comes with a slightly chilli dipping sauce.
-Kashke bademjan - grilled eggplant with fried mint & whey sauce.
-Had 3 different types of skewers: two lamb and one chicken. They were all really tender. I am really picky with my meats (normally don't eat chicken as I find it tough) and this was succulent!
-cutlet kabab: marinated lamb cutlets, were full of flavour and didn't have a lamb taste to it at all.
-all paired with 2 types of rice and naan
-dessert of the day to finish with persian tea
-wash it all down with a glass of shiraz

This restaurant produces really good kababs which is full of flavour and is very tender. I highly recommend this to all the fussy meat eaters out there. Great restaurant to catch up with family or friends. Thanks PersianLicious. I enjoyed my Friday night here.

$76 dollars down the drain.... with a 50 percent discount from Dimmi.

Tonight we decided to try Persian licious as we are Surry Hill local and like to try new places. To say the least, the food and service was poor and lacking.

We ordered some entree’s, mains and drinks... we made it past the entree’s and decided the food was lacking and like it was purchased from the coles frozen isle.

Somehow we made it to the main course.... the food was tainted with a canned lentil taste.

Cocktails took over 40 minutes to make it to our table. They were not exciting and were on the edge of warm.

Save your money and go else where.. even if you have the Dimmi discount.

If you like Persian food, this is the best you can find in Sydney. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. We sat upstairs which has a very nice ambience and a beautiful design. Service was friendly and we got an incredible amount of food for how much we paid.

A nice new Persian restaurant with comfortable seating and friendly service. I really liked how the naan bread was very crispy. However the meat was pretty dry...
