Tasty food and good customer service. The peas and hash were good, although the hash didn’t seem home made? The corn fritters were delicious.
The staff were really nice and friendly. The tandoori chicken burger was really nice!
This cafe was really cute and lovely! It was very quiet when we arrived so we were quite lucky. The gentleman serving us was really lovely and attentive. The food we had was lovely and personally my porridge dish was absolutely delicious! A perfectly poached pear served with a porridge that was quite light but still delicious and tasty, can’t go wrong really! 👌😍
Pictured is the Porridge (hibiscus poached pear simmered in oats, toasted almond and hibiscus syrup)
Simply sensational and in my opinion (over 620 reviews) this place is in the top 5 in Melbourne. Hidden, and worth finding (next to Savers). This is fusion done right. I've visited 3 times and the food is simply exceptional. You won't leave hungry and prices are very fair. The dishes have Indian twist and flair but remain light and fresh. Menu changes on occasion. The pulled pork bao and lamb shank salad are stand-outs. A hidden suburban GEM. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a fabulous little place hidden away in Greensborough. Although initially it can be hard to find, really once you know the location will never leave your head. So to help you, it’s right near Savers and the Brotherhood of St Laurence Op Shop behind the Main Street. Plenty of parking available.
Food was amazing. Menu is excellent and not the same old choices you see elsewhere. Porridge with poached pears served in the most stunning pottery bowl which I only discovered when I’d finished the meal. Portion size perfect. The pancakes with Nutella I’m told were good and again a good portion size.
Staff are wonderful and very helpful. High chairs available. Wheelchair friendly. Pram and stroller accessible.
Every day coffee spot for us. we love their update menu, pork bao is my new favourite & my wife loves her tandoori chicken burger. Staff are supper friendly. It's a hidden gem of Greensborough. Thanks boys for delivering the best experience.
A great little cafe, friendly staff and lovely menu tucked away in Main Street of Greensborough. Great coffee spot where I also had the blueberry bread, which looked great and was delicious. Will definitely be back for brunch/lunch. A great meet up spot and close to parking.
It’s a place which has variety, you can choose from their diverse range of Menu. This place is walking distance from Greensborough Station or Mall. Incase if you want to have a lovely, yummy and good choice of drinks. This is your place. The staff is great, ambience is just perfect, their choice of music is good too. They have good seating place,I am sure you will always find a seat.
AMAZING FOOD!!! The best cafe food in Greensborough. It’s so freakin good. Everything I’ve tried is delicious. The blueberry bread, the pea and hash! Oh my god the pea and hash. Great options for gluten free and vegetarian. It’s not the best location as it looks into a car park, but ignore it. The foods so damn good you’ll see whatever you want.
The view from the cafe isn’t great, as it overlooks a car park but the food is worth the visit. Very good selection of tasty food and coffee was good too.
Many different styles of egg. Any egg you want, they’ve got it. Scrambled, poached, fried, Turkish - they’ve got the lot. My sisters egg cane with a hair in it though. Eggcellent.
We planed a day trip and went to Greensborough for breakfast before start long drive. I realised not many places willing to open in the morning.
It shows the characteristics of locals.
Very bright dining area and this shop is keen to open early in the morning ☉
Beautiful fresh coffee beans with mild aroma.
Good scrambled egg in decent size and flavourful thick fruits tossts. Kids toast was also decent size and great.
We all had quite full tummy and happy to come back soon.
3.5 stars
Small step (10cm) entry. Suitable for a manual chair to get over with assistance but an electric chair would need their own ramp. There are 2 tables outside. No accessible bathroom.
We came in winter. The inside of the cafe was quite cool. Table service provided. Enough space and they had the ability to move tables around as you needed.
Parking was hard. There is paid parking across from the cafe but the area the cafe is in has restricted parking galore. They are near a train station though.
Serving size was average. Only qualm.... This is trivial.... But they served 2 eggs to one piece of toast which is my pet peeve!
Otherwise delicious.
Went in today for breakfast with one of my friends. It is quite a small & cozy cafe & was so warm! The service was fast & friendly. I ordered the ultimate feast whereas my friend got the Turkish eggs. I was a bit sceptical about the tofu skewers as I’ve never had tofu before. but it was really delicious. The kale chips were also really nice. It was definitely a unique spin on the usual big breakfast but it was worth it.
Very nice and prompt service. Beautiful presentation of the food and relaxing deco just the taste lack a bit of depth. Esp the mango lassi i was expecting a stronger and richer taste. Overall, quite satisfied.
I absolutely adore this cafe, it is a lovely environment and atmosphere with the friendliest staff and brilliant coffee/menu. Hidden away, but a real gem. Highly recommend.
Coffee is exceptional. Food, although presented beautifully, lacked depth of flavour and needed quite a bit of seasoning to give it some life. This could be down to the ingredients used rather than skill of the cooks. Will definitely be coming back to try out some other menu items, as I loved the vibe of the place and am willing to give the food another shot as I’m sure TYB has more to offer.
Edit: OK I take back what I previously said. TYB is now my local regular brunch spot. Consistently good coffee and some great breakfast options that are a bit different to standard cafe fare. My favourites are the porridge (with poached pear) and the Bombay potatoes.
Really nice place, though a bit hard to find. Not the nicest location in terms of outlook but it’s very quiet and relaxed. Service was lovely, coffee was good and the Turkish eggs was a good choice. Will probably be back!
What a delight to dine as guests of Two Young Boys today. All the staff were so genuinely lovely and the atmosphere casual and relaxed, perfect for a Saturday morning. Located directly across from greensborough station it’s easily accessible even if you aren’t local and it’s doing some pretty exciting things for a suburban cafe. The menu boats several dishes of an Indian influence reflecting the heritage of the chef and owners. Bombay potatoes with fried egg, chicken madras curry with roti, tofu tikka and traditional gol gappas, I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it!
Friends who had been told me I simply must get the Nutella stuffed pancakes and I couldn’t argue with that. I figured balancing it out with a fresh juice (chose your own combination of three fruits and or veg) made it an acceptable borderline health choice. What a sensational dish! Easily my new favourite pancakes in Melbourne the Nutella stuffing is a seriously ingenious idea and every mouthful was heavenly. I was literally so delighted by their supreme fluffiness they were devoured within minutes. Even the pretty berry smear which is intended as a garnish adds a wonderful tart element to the plate. At this point I was extremely full but then a Nutella lassi was suggested. You can opt for the traditional mango but they also have more unique and intriguing options such as rose or Nutella. This was as yummy as it was visually striking.
Not only do they serve exceptional food with a smile this is also a great family friendly space with children being offered colouring pencils and their artwork proudly displayed on one of the cafes back walls. I couldn’t fault my dish and would definitely recommend you go and experience it for yourself
I have been coming here for coffees (which are great) for a few weeks, and today got to try the food. I had the sweet potato cakes for lunch, absolutely delicious. The staff are super friendly as well.
Another great cafe which has popped up in the suburbs, with an Indian influenced menu and one of the best panna cottas I’ve had!. Two Young Boys is a small, family friendly cafe, and by family friendly I mean GREAT with kids...
Small menu but we like the pea rosti dish. Staff are always nice. Never really busy there that we’ve noticed. Coffee is fine, albeit slow to get sometimes
I visited this lovely cafe yesterday and absolutely loved it! They have a few tables out the front which is doggy friendly (and undercover so you won’t get wet if it rains). They were so accommodating to my dog, brought her water and gave her treats. Amazing service! We ordered a chocolate milkshake and a coffee to start. Both were absolutely delicious. My friend is a milkshake connoisseur and rated this one of the best - cold, perfect consistency and great chocolatey flavour. My coffee had the perfect strength and was nice and hot.
Next we ordered the Turkish Scrambled Eggs and the Potato cake (sweet potato, quinoa and lentil fritters). Both dishes were so tasty and satisfying. They both came with a fresh salad on the side that lightheaded the dish and added that refreshing touch. This is representative of the chef, I was told, who is very health conscious and likes to put that into the dishes he creates.
The highlight for us was dessert: we ordered the Nutella Stuffed Pancakes which was a stack of three, with vanilla Icecream, syrup and fresh fruit. A perfectly balanced dish and we polished it off. The fit out of this place is super cool and modern.
It is also kid friendly, they have books and colouring in paper and pencils. They even have a kids wall where they hang the drawings that their guests create. So cute!
This cafe is a bit hidden, in a car park off Para rd, but it’s worth finding. You won’t regret it!
Thanks for having us and for a delicious breakfast!
what a hidden gem....beautiful modern yet simple decor, food look very modern & trendy which you often dont find around this area. we tried the cauliflower fritters & rose panna cotta. simply Delicious. coffee was nice & strong. staff were very friendly. highly recommended.
Two Young Boys cafe has been operating for just over a year now in Main Street, Greensborough. We were excited to come in as guests and try items from their all day menu. This menu has a strong Indian influence, with a number of quite unique items that blended Indian cuisine with western, alongside your traditional cafe fare.
The cafe is a cute little space with generous table spacing and a relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming of their customers and kids were very well looked after with colouring pencils and kid friendly menu items.
We were offered hot drinks first and Kelisi ordered a vanilla soy chai latte on staff recommendation. This drink was lovely and sweet and perfect with soy.
We started our brunch with Gol Gappa Shots. Gol Gappas are a Indian street food that is a crispy shell filled with chickpeas and potato’s. These little shell cups arrived perched on top of shot glasses containing a delightfully spiced liquid. The challenge is to fill up the shell with the liquid and pop it in your mouth before it breaks. This was a really fun, but messy start to our meal 😀. I have not seen this for bunch anywhere before in Melbourne.
Next up we tried the Bombay Potato’s, these came baked and mildly spiced with onion, coriander and perhaps the most perfect orange yolked fried egg I think I have seen in recent times. This dish was simply delicious and I had to fight Kelisi for it or risk missing out.
From perfectly fried eggs to perfectly poached, sitting atop of the Pea n Hash dish that sat in a golden sauce spiral. What was in that golden sauce... definitely mayo perhaps with a subtle turmeric seasoning? A really fresh dish with a lovely crunch from the hash and quite simple flavours from the pea and mint. A great tasty dish for summer.
The last dish we tried (at Kelisi’s insistence) was the Nutella pancakes. The great twist to this dish was the delightful pancakes were stuffed with Nutella and served with fruit, a raspberry coulis stripe, maple & ice cream. Such a lovely looking and decadent dessert/ breakfast. I could have eaten it all, so probably a good thing I was sharing.
The Two Young Boys menu has so much more to offer than we tried. Monster shakes, interesting lassi flavours (Nutella 😍) plus many Indian influences in other dishes. A really good choice for those who want something deliciously different in the north eastern suburbs.
Note: Although on Main Street, the cafe is located near ample parking down the side of the building.
The cafe’s ceiling to floor windows allows for maximum natural light which brightens up the small yet cosy space. The decor is modern and the atmosphere is calm and casual.
The menu gives you the perfect amount of options for all types of dietary needs. I feel that most items are quite healthy however there are a few indulgent choices. I’d recommend the Pea’s N’ Hash, The Ultimate Feast and the Pulled Pork.
Service is friendly and attentive.
It truly is a hidden gem, i have drive past and walked past about a million times but never thought about going in and one day i did and it was decorated nicely for such a small space, it had a very homely feeling. I had the smashed avo which was really nice, probably the best i’ve had and the service was amazing so i would definitely recommend and return!

Another one of my local faves. Hidden behind busy Main St, Two Young Boys delivers on all aspects. Food is aesthetically pleasing and delicious. We had the Smashed Avo which was excellent. Portion was just right. Coffees were great too, as was the fresh juice, in which you could choose which three fruits you wanted. Staff are attentive and the cafe itself has a nice family-friendly vibe. There is also plenty of parking, which if you're like me is a huge plus because there's nothing worse than trying to find a park for hours while your tummy is grumbling. Will be back for sure!
MBB :)
Two Young Boys
Don't underestimate ......
Not on the prominent site of Greensborough ...Small but seems to be packing punches ....
Toby's Estate coffee beans and La Marzocco combo, 3 Lattes, 1 Weak Latte later, above average and Ice Choc too.
Must come back for Brunch, presentation looks really good on the other tables. JT-05/11/2017.
We've been coming here since they opened. It's always been spot on for food, price and service. The owners are lovely! They even sorted out take away lunch for me (even though it wasn't lunch yet) as I was home unwell. I've tried most items on the menu and not been disappointed.
I took myself out for a rare brekky silent date the other week before a conference - I sat and savoured the paper with a delish coffee and brekky special of pulled pork & beans & poached egg. Both were so delish & also just lovely to have some rare solo time. Service was great :)

After winning a $50 voucher from Instagram's @foodie_or_fatty, I was all geared up to try out Two Young Boys, a new cafe (behind Savers), in Greensborough.
It was very quiet when we arrived, but it was nice to not feel rushed to finish our meal so that new customers could steal our table (so often the case in the cafe scene now). The decor was simple, modern & fresh.
The menu has a middle eastern feel, with a lot of non-traditional breakfast and lunch items available. We ordered two coffees to start, which tasted great. I was all geared up to order the corn fritters that I'd seen on Instragram, but alas, they were the previous week's special menu item. The special for this week was a smashed pea/avo dish served with hash browns and poached eggs, but I don't like peas. Damn!
I ordered the "Bombay Potatoes" ($13) which was delicious and very reasonably priced. A bed of roast potatoes and cherry tomatoes topped with crunchy onion strings and a fried egg. I also ordered a size of bacon. This dish had some beautiful flavours and it was nice to have a dish without bread.
My friend ordered the stunning "Sweet Potato Cake" ($15) with sweet potato, lentil & quinoa fritters, green tahini, poached egg & sweet potato crisps. The serving was huge and the potato twists on top had people at the next table asking us what we'd ordered - a very photogenic dish.
All in all, a very positive experience and some delicious food from a brand new cafe. The staff were super friendly, the coffee tasted great and the dishes are very photo friendly. The only downside is having to look at dumpsters and a car park while eating haha.
This cafe is amazing! The staff are so friendly and the food is incredible! I have ordered the smashed av twice now and I would say it's the best I've had! Highly recommend!
I went in on a Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 and was one of 3 customers in the cafe. The cafe itself was really lovely and I was greeted immediately by the man at the counter. I ordered an almond milk hot chocolate and the sweet potato cakes. The hot chocolate was really good and was made immediately. I really loved the sweet potato cakes, especially the sweet potato crisps on the top. Apart from the view of the carpark it was a really lovely cafe and I'll definitely go back in the future
Food and service are superb. Only ambience lacking slightly because of Indian restaurant smells wafting in from next door and the general location let it down. Still worth going !
Highly recommended. Tucked away in the back side of saver's. Love the black n'white interior. Lots of parking available. Food & drinks were both amazing. I had one of the best pancakes ever. My friend tried some Indian inspired Bombay potatoes & gol-gappa shot & he was very impressed. Prices were very reasonable. Another good thing about them is you can book your table even on weekend. Staff were friendly too. I'll be your regular for sure. Cheers
Just tried this hidden gem for the first time, had a most delicious chicken curry with roti bread... lovely coffee and very welcoming and friendly staff...will definately try them again for brekky
Awesome friendly staff.
Love the Breakfast Wrap and milkshakes.
Portions are great
We have become regulars now because we can't get enough of it.
Tasty, standard cafe food but small portions.
I had breakfast here - poached eggs but they only give you one slice of thin toast for the two poached eggs! Bread is cheap peoples so please give me some more ($9.90) n.b. the accompanying tomato chutney is a nice touch though.
The coffee is fine, nothing to rave about but nothing bad either. Service is fine but the lady is a bit pushy - read my body language - I don't want to talk to you (today anyway...)
I hope the owners do read their reviews too as it felt like they didn't put their heater on high enough despite two people only one that asked about the heating during the short time I was there. I think the cold breeze is coming from the back storeroom door.
I will give it another try the next time I'm in Greensborough.
Black and white minimalist interior, indian slanted cafe menu... What is there to like about this place, buried behind a Savers and a Taco Bill near the Greensborough train station...
Plenty, that's what. Lets start with the coffee. My latte was smooth, creamy, a perfect temperature and just utterly delicious. We bought a bag of beans for the machine at home just in case it was the blend.
Atmosphere? Well, probably not brilliant, theres a lovely view of the car park and not much else, but somehow, despite the minimal interior, monochromatic decor and open space it seemed quite inviting. Perhaps it was that the music was not intruding on our meal by trying to reinforce how hip the place was. I could actually carry on a conversation without resorting to ridiculous pantomime. Not that the conversation consisted of much more than mmmph, so good.... Mmmm, grmph, yum anyway.
The Bombay potatoes for breakfast were fantastic, the silverside mashed rosti was likewise tasty and zingy, and the service was discreet and friendly.
Yes, i'm going back. You should join me.

This is a nice cafe, although it is in a pretty horrible shopping centre. The interior is well thought, cosy and modern. Food is good, really tasty, but please make bigger portions! I know prices are very competitive but you really leave wanting more. Coffe on the other hand is pretty good. Waiting times are a bit "generous" but I think they're quite new so it's fine, give them time.
Fantastic service and absolutely delicious meals! The mango lassi was out of this world! Fast, friendly, affordable and amazing food 👌🏼😋❤
They made me their regular customer with their best coffee and food in the town. Never seen a cafe menu like that, so many creative dishes. Thank you two young boys.
Went here on a very quiet Sunday morning and had one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! I ordered the breakfast wrap with pulled pork- wow, what a great flavour combination! I want to go just to get the same thing again but I'm also tempted to try some other menu items which sound out of the ordinary. My husband had the Nutella pancakes which were also delicious. 5 stars!!
The star of Greensborough!
New favourite place - great coffee and delicious food. So so happy you are here in my hood.
I had the breakfast wrap and my partner had the Nutella pancakes - we are blown away.
5 stars all the way. ;)
Located in Greensborough, this funky cafe has good menu selection and is reasonably price. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We had the Nutella filled pancakes with brownie crumbs and fruit compote. It was yummy. Thumbs up for the coffee to! Will be back to try some other menu items.
nice location with outdoor sitting and parking. Great menu selections & everything is available for kids also. Friendly service, great coffee and food. Exactly what G'BOROUGH needed..
Perfect location, heaps of parking & window view. Fresh food and service is always spot on. Very good menu selections. Great addition to the area.
A place with lots of goodness of ambience to spend time, Great options and decor. Very apt coffee place and amazing food. Must visit..
Keep it up.
Lovely new little café. Loved the location and parking was easy. Food and coffee was wonderful.
Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Caters to all ages and I would highly recommend a visit.
Fantastic food, coffee & service, it's a must visit! Will definitely be back and keen to try some different items off the menu, the pulled pork breakfast wrap is a winner ✅
Really nice set up inside and the food and coffee was really good! It was a little slow service wise for how quiet it was but great none the less
Loved the twist on typical cafe food, exciting to see more cafes that are a little different popping up in this area! Service was great, and food was delicious. I'll definitely be back!
Two young boys offers a refreshing twist on some traditional fare served by the other local cafes. My wife and myself ate here for lunch midweek and were impressed by the meals at this cafe which have a slight Indian influence.
My prawns were delicious, although a little lacking in quantity for a lunch meal. My wife's corned beef sandwich left me blown away, fresh tasting, delicious and generous. looking around the cafe the other meals looked very well delivered to the table, plenty of colour and flavor representing the best of Melbourne in spring.
As the place is new a little wait for food was acceptable however we probably wouldn't come on a Saturday morning until the kitchen finds it's feel a little. Overall the service was attentive and at no time overbearing.
Another fine addition to the cafe scene growing in the Greensborough area. Coffee was excellent too!
New place for coffee at Greensborough
Coffee good so give it a try girls
The service is top class with eclastic decor and cool music.
Pity is hidden away:-)
Excellent coffee. Had a yumm Breakfast & very nice and friendly atmosphere. Exciting menu, fresh setup and kids friendly.
Really well done Guys. Surely I'll visit again.
First time using zomato and I had to share my experience with others. This place is so awesome. Today was my second visit with friends and everything was spot on. New favorite cafe in Greensborough.
Tucked between a loading zone and an op shop is two young boys cafe, the fresh new face in the outer north-east café scene. My advice is run, don’t walk, and give them a try (before word spreads!)
I’ve been twice within the last fortnight and can’t fault the service (excellent), selection (refreshing) or food (delicious). The Turkish eggs, with roast capsicum, feta and dukkah were a tasty twist on the classic scramble. On my second visit, I went for the breakfast wrap – a Mexican-inspired dish of slow roasted pulled pork (!!!), avo smash, jalapenos, sour cream and topped with a poached egg. Would highly recommend this - the combination of flavours worked beautifully and generous serving size meant it kept me full well into lunchtime.
As well as offering an array of all-day breakfast dishes, two young boys also serve up lunch from midday. For the suburban coffee snobs, two young boy are brewing Toby’s Estate coffee, which couldn’t be faulted.
I'll be back to try the Nutella-stuffed pancakes!
Very impressed with this new cafe! The food is amazing and the coffee is great quality too! The ingredients are fresh, perfectly combined to complement each other, so tasty and beautifully presented! I highly recommend the Turkish eggs or Breaky Wrap for breakfast and the Ham Croquettes or Wagu Sanga (with fries of course) for lunch. The coffee is great quality, very smooth and satisfying. Very happy overall...Well done! Will definitely be back!
I had the breakfast salad which was lovely. Lots of flavour and different textures. Hint of different spices which was different to other breky salads out there. Poached egg a great addition too. Will definitely order again. Friendly service too.
Great food and coffee, good addition to the area!
Amazing -- modern cafe food with Indian flavours. So many tempting menu options it was tricky to decide. In the end I went with the breakfast salad which was incredible: super filling, tasty and healthy. Bit tucked away, but plenty of parking and right near two good op shops.
The new Mable Jones!
Came here on a Thursday for a very late lunch and went with the breakfast wrap. I didn't mind the longer wait because it was fantastic. Every moutful was a a delight. The staff were so lovely and friendly, happy to chat to anyone and everyone!
The only let down is the location. It's so hidden, however its location lends it ample parking.
Loved it!!! The coffee was delicious and the meal was mouthwatering. So many flavours! Friendly service. Great little spot. I'll be back asap!
What an experience, greeted warmly when we walked in and seated near the window. The menu is fairly extensive with meals rarely seen in Greensbough. Two meals we chose, Tagine baked chick peas, pumpkin, spinach and a poached egg, plus Pork sanga with coleslaw in a foccacia, the coffee is to die for and well worth the wait, meaning Covid put a hole in the lunch we normally have once a month I know we will be back.
We drove 40 minutes for the panna cotta and were not disappointed. Such a lovely, light and healthy breakfast. The panna cotta was not too sweet, wobbly, creamy with a beautiful and subtle mango flavour. Also the fresh mango pieces on the side were a great touch. The granola was excellent and crunchy with a great blend of flavours such as nuts, spice, coconut and toasted oats. My partner had the pea and hash. She loved the Indian flavours in the dish. From the turmeric mayo to the hash with peas. She rated it as very good. Well done boys!
A remarkable find, tucked away next to the Brotherhood Op Shop and Savers.
Definitely worth a return visit!
Second visit: the Vegan Burger is great but the Sweet Potato fries are Out of This World!!!
Honest to god the best cafe I’ve been to. Amazing and attentive service with really friendly staff. The coffee is made with care and always perfect. And the food!!!! Actually mouth watering, each meal is packed with nutritious ingredients that make something wonderful together. Overall an amazing experience.
Best cafe in the north by a mile! Food and coffee is always on point. But the service is the best part. Such lovely owner and staff. Been coming for years and never disappoints. Definitely give them a try.
It was quite busy for a Sunday however the food and the coffee was worth a short wait. I'd be heading back there.
The food here is amazing and has vegan options. One of the best places I have had coffee. The staff is very friendly and the barista is very hard working. Definitely recommend this place !!!’
Coffee was great and meal was so tasty. Me and my family really enjoyed the time here.
Definitely we will come back this place.
