It was tasty, I had a pho and the wifey had a chicken cashew stir-fry.

I had dinner here tonight and the food here was absolutely delicious!!!! Customer service was fantastic as well. The food came out really fast. I will definitely be a regular customer here. Thank you Three Red Stripes for making my winter nights so much more delightful.

Have been here several times over the last few months. I really like the Pho but compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Melb they skimp on the amount of chicken and the chicken you do get is often overcooked. Unfortunate seeing as the soup itself is quite nice.

Michael and his team are extremely friendly with fast service, smiles and food that is to die for. Fresh produce cooked perfectly with great pricing and huge portions. I would absolutely recommend to anyone going to the movies to drop in for a meal before the flick. Located right next to the Hoyt's cinemas.

Fresh, well cooked (not overcooked!) Staff are really friendly and the food reminds me of being in Vietnam or Thailand, unlike a lot of over-westernised restaurants. Very highly recommended!!!!

Fantastic! Great pho, satay chicken stir fry was excellent and well priced, delicious rice paper rolls. Well priced and lovely staff

Food was average, waitress could not understand our order. Each meal came separately and one came 30 min after the other one. Would not recommended it, very dissapointed, won't go back.

Always had a great lunch in this place ,I'm so happy that I found this place, daughter and I loved the pho so much, and great customer service, I would surely recommend this place for a dine out

Visited twice before writing this review. A pleasant dining experience, loads to choose from, and reasonably priced. Not pure Vietnamese. On my first visit I had pad see ew which would not be out of place at any decent Thai restaurant. I would have enjoyed it more if they laid off the oil. It was too oily for me, but the flavours were there. On the second visit I had rice vermicelli with pork. The pork was thin and chewy (possibly deep fried) but the chewiness worked well with the soft noodles. I added on spring rolls which were yum. I like the seating options inside and you can help yourself to water, sauces, cutlery, chopkins and napkins. A regular lunch destination for me.
My Kitchen Sucks...
If Three Red Strikes and you are out of the game then Three Red Stripes is truly on the way to the permanent sin bin.

When you substitute 'long grain rice' with 'broken rice' and hope that the person eating the dish is none less of the wiser then that's Strike One for you.

When you mix water with a bit of MSG and try to pass it off as chicken bone broth then that's Strike Two for you.

When you can't be bothered hiring extra staff during busy lunch hours and leave my bowl of Pho dying at the window for almost 10 minutes while the rice noodles got a soaking to an inch of their life that turned it into mush then that's Strike Three for you.

The only reason why Three Red Stripes aren't banned from ever serving another living soul again is because at least the Rice Paper Rolls are half decent.

Faking an on field injury might get you qualified into the World Cup but it certainly won't win you the trophy.

Update 18.06.18 - Response to management

So if the restaurant had ran out of broken rice and thought it is OK to substitute with long grain rice without telling the customer in the first place but had to wait for the customer to find out him/herself when ordering the management must be irrational.

So just because the restaurant sells plenty of Pho and is busy and thinks it is ok to let my bowl of noodles to sit in the window for almost 10 minutes dying the management must be delusional.

So just because I wrote my reviews differently to everybody else calling me ignorant the management must be diabolical.

And if the restaurant can't even afford peanut sauce please don't add water to dilute it to save money similar to using long grain rice in lieu of broken rice since the customer won't think this is superficial.

And if a restaurant can't even accept criticism then the management must be a bunch of idiotic radicals.

Update 19.06.18 - Response to management

The further downgrade of rating is in response to the management unwilling to accept criticism from its paying customers and reckons that replacing broken rice with cheaper long grain rice and watering down on sauces with water are totally acceptable practices in the restaurant industry.

But you are right in this instance if such deceits keep happening at your restaurants only ugly cave-dwelling creatures will pay patronage.

i dont know how a professional chef can undercook an egg. the egg white on the broken rice was still transparent and runny, my kids weren’t happy.

We went to this restaurant tonight and were very disappointed. We are regular customers and were left waiting for our food for 40 minutes. No apology from the owner especially after being loyal customers. In fact we walked out and paid for our entres and ended up getting takeout elsewhere.

Exceptional customer service! The food is great, very tasteful. Service is fast and the variety is huge. Definitely recommend for a cold and cosy night. Pho taste authentic.

I had a really good tofu banh mi here, just the right ratio of ingredients. Will be back to try more! Nice to see a Vietnamese place open up inside the centre.

The staff is polite and friendly, but the food is what brings the score down.
Have been multiple times and have only come back due to the lack of gluten free options at the other surrounding Asian restaurants.
As a celiac, I appreciate that there are options for me but everything I have tried on the menu has been quite bland and tasteless.
Best pho in the Greensborough and Bundoora area, this place definitely beats Pho 5 Star Plenty Road (not any good IMO) and more flavourful than Pho 999 Polaris. Staff are always friendly and nice here and tables are spacious. They also have a good array of Asian drinks. It would be good if you guys added some other Vietnamese beverages to your menu, eg. Three Color drink, Vietnamese coffee and Thai milk tea (yes thats not Vietnamese haha) I've tried numerous items here but always come back for the Chicken Pho, flavourful broth and fresh succulent chicken, i like that theres no taste of star anise, i cant stand it when pho places overuse star anise! Check this place out if you're in the mood for some good noodle soup.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered Chicken and cashew nuts. The venue has a nice vibe and is open and clean. The staff were friendly and very welcoming.

The food came out relatively quick and was nice and hot. The sauce is different (darker and heavier) than your typical chicken and cashews from a Chinese restaurant but aside from it being a bit too salty it was a nice version of the dish.

Ate it all up and this Mama is Hangry no more!

Thanks guys!

Went here for dinner, after a pleasant experience at the Doncaster venue. As far as I can tell, this place has now separated from the “Three Red Stripes” name, which is fitting considering Doncaster puts it to shame.

The Vietnamese iced coffee came out in a half-full glass which was finished in a couple of sips. The pho broth was flavourless and the beef over cooked and chewy, not to mention expensive in comparison to the area. I had ordered a Bahn Mi, only to be told there was no pork left in the whole restaurant. Settled on beef instead, my partners food came and I was informed 10 minutes later that they had also ran out of bread.

Manager offered me to choose something different, went for a flavourless Bun Cha Gio, which I was then charged for. It didn’t come accompanied by fish sauce or any of the usual condiments.

Overall a waste of money, left hungry and with a bland taste in mouth, had to make dinner when I got home.

Situated in the section where the cinemas are, is this cute and inviting establishment.

Grabbing a booth for two, my friend and I ordered the following things:

Food:
• Combination Spring Rolls
• Massamam Curry
• Pad Thai

Drinks:
• Avocado Smoothie
• Ruben’s Lychee

First things first the starter looked ok I guess, the sauce personally looked a little obscure by means of an orange worm “looking” portion entailed inside. The prawn spring rolls had a good flavour however the chicken one was not pleasurable to consume honestly. The sauce basted with the rolls didn’t really give them justice, I normally like a big hit of flavour which the sauce commonly does give, however was very minimal which I was annoyed about.

Following was the curry, very small portion to be frank. The beef was cooked well, carrots needed a little more and potatoes were average. Unfortunately a big let down on all fronts.

Pad Thai came next and looked appetising and it a big step up from the other two food picks. Immense flavour streamed throughout the whole dish which was lovely.

My friend ordered the avocado beverage and she actually loved it. I was a tad sceptical with her choice, be that as it may I’m very adventurous so I tried it and I was pleasantly surprised with it. Thick and creamy and had exuberant balance of flavour.

I ordered the lychee refreshment and it was absolutely fabulous. It was perfect in every way.

In cessation an dime a dozen dinner experience with lovely drink alternatives, however the food needs editing.

Good ambience and fast service.

Pho broth is a bit plain, not as tasty as other restaurants in the area. Beef is a bit thick and chewy.

Broken rice dish has good amount of food on top. Fried egg is perfect, but the rice isn't cooked long enough and the pork chop is a bit too thick, therefore a bit tough to bite.

Not a bad place to hang out with friends, but food still needs improvement

Kid friendly, tasty and fresh. Pho was good as well as chicken salad. Pleasantly surprised. We have been to Doncaster restaurant as well and this experience was as good.

Three Red stripes is a comfortable newish restaurant on the strip leading up to the theatres in Greensborough Plaza.

The ambience and service is pretty good. We had the pho which had a nice broth and was tasty.

Recommend if you are in the area.

Three red stripes. Nice cosy environment and friendly staff with ok food. Don’t expect the best but a nice place to have dinner. Highly recommended in Greensborough.

Went there for lunch and had the beef vermicelli salad which was delicious, fresh and a generous serve which I shared with my husband and toddler. Definitely coming back here. The staff were lovely and the prices are reasonable.

Just dropped in for a quick bowl of pho, had the sliced beef. The pho was delicious, served quickly and with a smile. The place was clean. Service was great. I'll definitely be going back.

Really disappointing. My wife likes the pho here so I though I'd give the place a try and ordered the pepper beef.

It came out as a handful of pieces of beef, very salty, next to a huge pile of rice. It took me a couple of minutes to get through the beef, since there was so little of it. Should have gone to the ramen place. At least I wouldn't have left hungry.

My wife loves the Pho here so we decided to eat here before going to the movies. We have fussy kids that won't eat anything different so I was apprehensive. The manager took time out to explain the menu to us and the kids as they were still developing their new menu that will be kids friendly. We bought 1 marinated chicken for the kids to share and had to buy another because they liked it so much. I had the Beef "bun" which was delicious. The wife as usual loved her Pho. The Spring rolls and Prawn Rice paper roll were a hit.

Looking forward to seeing the new menu when we come back.

This was the most unauthentic pho I've ever had and at $12.50 the most expensive too.
I ordered the beef and brisket. The stock didn't taste like traditional pho, the beef was well done instead of rare (as it should be).
I ate about 5 spoons full and sent it back. No offer of goodwill from the manager so that was a waste of my time and money.
Won't be back.

Pho is very salty and full of msg. Small quantity. Very little noodle and beef. Won't go there again.

Coffee is over sweet...
No wonder the shop is almost empty
I came here with the intention of not being so impressed...considering it's inside a shopping centre. But holy moley! The food was beautiful and fresh, the customer service was really pleasant, and they even gave us complimentary tea. Garnishes were very fresh, broth in the soups were very authentic. Highly recommend this place, especially considering the main road Vietnamese restaurants have gone downhill since management changeovers. Go see a movie, eat some fresh Vietnamese and then treat yourself to an ice cream!! :)

Best pho we have had in a while!
Customer service is 10x better than any other Vietnamese restaurant

Food is served promptly and personally cannot be faulted

Have had the pho bo, goi Vietnamese salad and spring rolls and give them all a 10/10!!!

Will be back every week 😁

Ordered prawn spring rolls which were yum! The chicken pho was tasty but there was only a small amount of chicken and no vegetables.. the menu is very limited at the moment, hoping they add some extra items! Staff were super friendly and food came quite quick.
