Review Guildford Village Tea Rooms - Guildford

Lovely scones , nice place visually. Staff friendly. Order was taken without a note. Driks didn't came until the end when we asked where it was. Every chair at a table was dirty. Couldn't resist to wipe it. And it cleans really easily.

What a great experience! The Tea Terrace was beautiful, we visited as a group of 14 on a Saturday lunchtime and the staff were so polite, accommodating and prompt given the circumstances! The food was delicious and the venue was clean and all round we had a great experience, we will definitely visit again!

The place is just hyped. The seats and tables were dirty, the staff was rude, quality of food wasn't that great either. In short, except for the pretty cutlery and scones, nothing was good. In fact, when other restaurants are so cautious about keep good hygiene, this place stands nowhere.

The place is quite nice and a different experience compared to other cafes in Guildford. Friendly staff and they have renewed their chairs recently which is nice too. I like their wide variety of meal options and food also tea. It is a bit overpriced but it’s ok.

Such a lovely place. Nice decor and lovely views of guildford. Good vegan and non-vegan food options. Quirky and cute! Staff were really nice too!

Lovely food and great atmosphere. Had a lovely afternoon and reasonably priced

My sister & I popped in for lunch and what a great time we had! The view is amazing and the décor made me feel like I was in a fairy tail. I found the wide choice on the menu caters for all, my sister is veggie and there was plenty of to choose from. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I can't wait to go back.

BEST SCONE IN TOWN!! I tried a gluten-free scone with hot chocolate, to be honest, these are the most delicious scone I have ever eaten so far. 😭❤️ The texture is a bit crispy on the outside, super soft and bouncy on the inside. The cream smells so good, combined perfectly with strawberry jam. I can’t get enough of it. 😍 The waitresses are helpful and so friendly, even tho they are busy all the time because there are loads of customers lol. Overall, I highly recommend it!!

Yeah... so... ok... I admit that I was in love with your version of salmon cream cheese wilted spinach rye bread with the variation of cooked mushrooms and a nice grilled tomato in the centre. Beautifully displayed... even better in the tummy... I think I could easily bring many for a divine brekkie and enjoy the country vibes as well as the fresh air... and very reasonably priced! :) Im in love! Thanks for the home cooked goodness!! Xo

Love Eating Out
Mum and I went for lunch on a Monday and sat outside. The service was friendly and efficient. Mum ordered the John Dory fish which she enjoyed but the sauce (leek, basil and lemon) tasted a little of jar bought garlic and was a a little strong. I had the BLT sandwich and I enjoyed it - but it was nothing special. The serving of chips was generous. Overall an average experience and not sure that we will come again.

Great value for money, very generous serving sizes and tastes great! Didn’t have to wait long for food considering there were 6 of us and service was good.

This place is fantastic value for money! I've dined here several times and each time its knocked my socks off. The food is fresh, delicious, well balanced in flavour and ready so quickly. Portion sizes are BIG! The creamy leek sauce on my fish was to die for. The decor is adorably shabby chic (makes you feel very at-home) and staff are always lovely. I will definitely return!

Came for a Saturday morning brunch, service was great and the food is delicious. Meals come in big serving sizes and are amazing value. Looking forward to coming back.

Very pleased with the Pumpkin soup crispy bread roll and Latte, soup was delicious and hot to the last drop, bread roll was the best I’ve had, I usually don’t eat rolls, but this was so very excellent I couldn’t leave any, coffee was also good, well done 👍

Best veggie focaccia in Perth. Filling and delicious. We come here often and the staff are friendly and always welcoming. The kitchen area looks a bit outdated but no complaints otherwise.
Worth a visit just for the focaccia.

This cafe is adorably cute. The menu is pretty good, with a large selection of options. The meals are pretty nice. It has improved over the last few years. I look forward to dining here again soon.

My favourite breakfast and lunch stop in Guildford. I'm a local, when I go out to eat I want to be fed and this place never fails to fulfil my needs. Decent quality food, very generous portions for the price. I've eaten everywhere in Guildford. Many places look better, feel better and provide better service yet I won't go anywhere else :)
Brendan Roche
staff were very unwilling to help to accommodate my order requirements. I was asked to change my order and pick something else from the menu. all I wanted was a cheese burger chips and banana milkshake?
Kylie White
Service is a hit and miss but we like the breakfast options and the coffee is generally spot on. Great ambience antique style furniture add a novelty factor.

Found this place on a Sunday stroll in Guildford. Very nice decor and cosy interior but we were left a bit dissapointed as the beans were canned and didn't go well with the eggs and the coffees we ordered took too long to arrive. Might try again in the future.

Not very happy with the lady who served us I asked for a skinny latte and it definitely wasnt made with skim milk. After letting her know she made quite a sulky face and didn't want to remake another one. Shame because we actually liked coming here.
Vanessa
Nice casual breakfast place. Hubby had the eggs, bacon, beans (note they are tinned beans, so this is just the 'I can't be bothered cooking Sunday brekkie place that serves a well cooked brekkie). I had the tea rooms brekkie with smoked salmon, poached eggs, spinach, tomato and rye toast. Good breakfast and well priced

Great spot scones are yummy!!!!

Homey little room in the back of this tea house. Very quirky and nice ambience with kind staff.
The coffee latte was nicely presented in a tall glass with a deep foam and badly burnt taste.
The ice coffee was quite good though. The breakfast menu, guildford tea bfast menu, was big and a bit bland. With smooshy spinach and tasteless posched egg. The farmhouse bfast was quite good, but too oily.

Overall quite satisfied with the cosiness.

Please upgrade toilet!. We visit the Tea Rooms on a regular basis. The food is always great and the staff are really friendly, however, I'm sure a lot of people don't return if they experience the outdated WC. Could be so much nicer and creates a bad impression for what is one of the best value for money menus in Perth.

Shabby and Grubby. As mentioned by other reviewers the Tea Rooms are quaint but extremely run down and in desperate need of some maintenance and serious elbow grease. While the old building and exposed floorboards and decor looks charming at a distance up close it unfortunately looks shabby and dirty. The food is average and unexciting but it's the service that is pretty poor; our party had to ask for a high chair to be bought to the table no less than half a dozen times in a half empty restaurant (only to have to clean it ourselves when it arrived) and only half the food came out initially and remainder was around 20 minutes later when half our party was virtually finished eating. Wouldn't recommend at all, heaps of better options around this area.

Ploughmans lunch...yummo and great value

Needs renovating. We were going to have breakfast in here but left as the place was empty and seemed to be in shambles. The tea rooms have always had that quirky old style with all the signs on the walls etc but now it just seems run down and dirty. I believe there are new owners now but we are yet to want to try it. We ended up at The Loungeroom a few doors down & had a terrible breakfast so hopefully The Tea Rooms will make themselves more inviting & will serve a great breakfast as we would visit often!

Decor and service are so so but the breakfast was delicious and good value.
Alex
We stopped in for lunch here and we were so glad that we did. The meals here are quite cheap, around $16 and are very tasty. Go the Ploughmans platter. It's enough for 2 and delicious.
Lou
Love the Village Burger. Watch out Alfred's here come the Village Burger. These burgers are the best I've had in Perth. My father can't wait to have one when he visits from the country. Think it might be the home made relish...or maybe the chips ..and the coffee pretty good too.. look past nanna's decorations , and you'll love it.

I ordered a chicken and salad sandwich and an iced choc. The bread was stale and the milk was warm :-(

Best eatery in Guildford!. Being a local, we frequent here very regularly!
Food is amazing....everything from breakfast, to the oh so yummy fish burger to an iced mixed berry drink (all my favourites there!). My children love an iced chocolate drink :)
Portion sizes are huge, food cooked fresh and great value for money.
Be prepared for a wait if it's busy! Fab choice of menu though and well worth the wait.

Good coffee. The food is average, but the coffee is great. I normally take away on the way to work and its always spot on.

A must, when looking for a bite to eat in Guildford. Yet to be disappointed.

Best Hidden Gem in WA!. This is my number 1 brekky hot spot in Perth.

It is small, quaint, homely, humble and DELICIOUS!! for some small amount, you can have a big brekky with perfectly poached eggs, lashings (usually around 6) of Bacon (extra crispy on request), toast, tomato, saugsages, sauce and mushrooms, great coffee and juice. The staff are very friendly and accomodating.

I usually go once a week or at least once a fortnight for brekky with family or friends and I am always so so happy with the service.

This place is not trying to be hip or funky, it is just an old house, turned into a cafe and they do what everyone wants, a good home cooked brekky for what it would cost you at home.

Hidden Treasure. My partner, her father and I were scouting Guildford for a nice little brunch and we came across this vintage/ what looks like an old home.

We read the menu and as impressed as we were we got a table.
Each of us ordered completely different items from Sweet to Savoury and even a GIANT burger!

The staff were so friendly and had absolutely no objection to add avocado to the burger; the food is to die for, everything is cooked fresh right at the front of the store (even the pancakes) the only downfall of this is some items may take some time to cook.

The entire set up of the rooms were very creative and vintage; not something you see a lot these days.
The price was fantastic! $9.50 for Pancakes and a small platter of mixed fruit!? How can you go wrong with that? Not to mention the cream was house whipped (and probably house made).

Absolute perfection; I will probably return more than once a week now!

Simple and well cooked. Simple, traditional style food cooked well with generous portions. Interior needs a decor.. very dirty and old. Some of the staff needs a haircut and have a higher standard of dress code. Very casual service. Although when the staff all seem like 16-19 year olds, it is what is expected:) Coffee is okay. Drinkable.

Guildford. Not the greatest place in perth. Its really small and looks dirty. Staff are nice, definitely not the place to go to during sumer

Cute!. Cute in an interesting haphazard sort of way :) Food is good and comes in nice large serves

A must try!. My boyfriend and were walking past and decided to give this place a go though did not expect much, since the decor is old and a bit worn (it's very nice and vintage on closer inspection).
boy, were we blown away! the food was amazing and we got so much for the price. the service was lovely and fast, and they were even friendly and patient when my card went on the fritz.
we have gone back at least 7 or 8 times since. we have tried the big breakfast, the open sandwiches, the burgers, the blt, the steak, and the pie. the only thing that was disappointing was the pie, it didn't taste very fresh. but everything else has had no complaints. their iced chocolate is to die for, so rich and creamy, and large enough for sharing. their peach iced tea is a favourite and we always get a second to take away, it is that refreshing.

i am givng this place a 5/5, if you're ever in the area, try it out!

Great breakfast very reasonably priced. Generous servings matched with friendly service!

Big Breakfast!. My husband and I decided to try this place as it looked inviting and homely, we had the Guildford Tea Room Breakfast - heaps of smoked salmon, nice poached eggs, spinach wilted without being flogged to death, so we went away full. The service was friendly and fast, only disappointment was the coffee - had to leave that untouched after one sip. Just too bitter. Heads up coffee makers - leaving it to filter longer only makes it bitter not stronger. But we will go back as the food was very good, but will try the milkshakes next time.

Favourite for Brunch. Trendys might not appreciate the decor but the meals are always fresh, tasty and plentiful. Staff ladies are on the ball and always have a greeting smile.Their cornish pastie is on steriods - have a go, i dare you... so is the ploughmans lunch. Really fantastic old fashioned food. You need a good feed in Guildford - come here.

Great food and service. Do yourself a favour and go to this one. We've tried breakfast, brunch and lunch here. They're always accommodating...if you want to change something, not a problem. Mainly inside seating with some outside...we love the pancakes...3 large pancakes with maple syrup and a good serve of sliced up fresh fruit in it's own bowl, for under $10.

It’s not going to set the world alight, but for a Sunday brunch it ticked both our boxes.
We also had to wait before being seated (not too long though), so other people must like it too.

Jojo
I'm not a scone expert so I'm not sure what a good scone tastes like. It is definitely different from the one I had before. This one is a bit like a bun x scones?
