Review Poste Cafe - Guildford

Absolutely LOVELY little cafe and gardens hidden behind a historic post office. I can't recommend them enough. The staff are lovely, the food and coffee are exceptional and the gardens are stunning. It's a hidden little world. It may be a ~1700km flight for us but we'll be back!!

Beautiful, pretty, gorgeous place. Friendly service, good coffee and delicious food. Interesting and eclectic collection of plants and antique decor, mostly for sale.

My daughter and I visited for the first time this Spring and have absolutely fallen in love with the amazing GREEN of this Cafe/Landscape Shop! It was breathtaking and so lovely to wander and find a little secret spot to sit in the garden. So unexpected in the middle of Guildford! I had to take off a star, however, as the coffee was terrible. It was burnt and bitter. Also I think the menu and counter food was quite lacking. And it's very pricey, but still worth sitting in the garden. If the coffee had been better it would definitely have been a five star review! We will definitely be back to try it again.

One of the most interesting cafes that I've ever been to. Food choice is limited but tasty. All the plants and shrubbery make this a unique experience.

Service is so warm and friendly and the food is fresh and lovely. Love the whole concept. Plants, great coffee, gardens and antiques- what more do you want?

Surprise visit...Beautiful lush green ambience surrounded by plants available to buy. Veg Panini was wonderful and so is the coffee. Service was slow today due to lot of ppl and lesser staff but the quality made up for for it. Has lots of places to sit inside and outside. An experience filled with tranquility and greenery☕🍀

Very disappointed after so many people told us to go there. Fifty minute wait for our food which was overcooked and cold. Had obviously been waiting somewhere and was found when we asked for it. Definitely lovely outside but we were inside, stuck away in a corner by ourselves. Two staff is ridiculous on a busy Friday

It was our first time to Poste. I can remember when it was a post office. I have found my favourite nursery of all time. I love that it has unusual antique and vintage pots and water features. It is so shady and cool. The ants are beautiful. I can't believe we don't have to import Bali carved stone. We can't wait until after Middle of year when we are creating a new garden in a historical street in Shenton Park. Can't wait. Have chosen my beautiful water feature bowl on plynth from poste. Hope hubby let's me buy. Love it u guys

Discovered this amazing business late today, it's an absolute treasure. The plants are delightful, in beautiful condition and the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you so much for the wonderful "Peppa Pig", my granddaughter and I will treasure her. 😊😌

Quirky, atmospheric indoor/outdoor garden cafe specialising in home made French croissants & pastries. Came for breakfast and ordered the French breakfast brioche (ok but a little plain), the toasted spinach croissant (very nice, pastry was delicious and flaky), coffee which was ok, as was the Chai. My favourite thing by far however was the indoor seating area with various large, separate rooms filled with dozens of home decor items, antiques & plants - it gave the place a wonderful atmosphere. Service staff were very friendly, will be back to try some of their pastries/sweets.

Certainly the most picturesque coffee shop/café in Guildford, Poste is in the grounds of the old Guildford Post Office which is now a landscaping service and garden centre full of greenery and attractive plants, water features and other garden ornaments among which you sit as you sip on your coffee and sample the cakes and savouries on offer.
