What an amazing find off the beaten track. This family run cafe featuring mainly gourmet pizzas is really high quality fresh pizzas as well as other offerings. The fungi pizza had abundant amount of fresh mushrooms. The smoked chicken pizza had generous serve of tomatoes, roasted capsicum and onions and quality cheese . A very generous crispy green salad with various lettuces, cucumber, green leaves.
Also, some lovely choices of dessert. We shared the sticky date pudding with a butterscotch sauce and ice cream. A lovely meal of fresh produce, super friendly staff and also BYO wine. Great place to bring some world class local wines.
I’m a big believer in second chances, time to make amends on my last review. The menu is fine tuned and delicious. The specials are always a wonderful treat, the coffee is great and the service is the best there is. This is a gorgeous country gem. Beautiful setup and atmosphere with an enchanting entrance and warm welcoming as if anyone was family. Couldn’t recommend more - make the trip out and support this wonderful country cafe and gallery.
Located in the old police horse stables this cafe/pizza place has real character. Beautifully restored with the plaster on top of the straw just going there and learn some history from the guys is worth it. The amazing pizzas taste great and are the real deal in terms of wood fired oven. Try the garlic bread entrada which is actually a mini pizza with all the goodness on top. Definitely recommend!
Great friendly service. Delicious and hot breakfast pizza fresh from the oven: cheese and lovely runny eggs on top, mopped up with the pizza crust. Good coffee. Lovely sitting in the sun in a sheltered sun trap on a cold Winter's Sunday. The only drawback was the wobbly table and chair on the uneven ground on which I nearly toppled the lot (and me) over. I'll definitely return soon but will sort out the wobbles as soon as I get to the table.
The figs, prosciutto and goats cheese pizza was amazing! Will definitely be back to try their lunch menu.
By the way, we nearly missed out as we thought we were here early on Easter Sunday, but they were open well before 11 am
The old stables at Gundaroo, New South Wales, Pizza place, absolutely beautiful. The staff are very friendly. 4 of us drove from Canberra for a Birthday lunch, I highly recommend this place.
Looks fantastic, tasted better. In all seriousness, that was the best pizza I have had anywhere in the world! Not only was the food great, but the girls serving were also so honestly nice and the building had such charm. I LOVED IT ❤❤❤ Thank you so much!
Hidden gem! ⭐ Fantastic place for dinner if staying or passing through gundaroo. Amazing pizzas with many different gourmet flavours. Lovely starters and platters available too, we opted for the 'dips, vegetables and bread' starter. This was a beautifully presented rainbow coloured plate of vegetables accompanied by fresh made focaccia and two flavours of hummus ($16). We then shared a family half/half ($32) which was slightly too much for both of us but happy with leftovers. L loved the vegetarian pesto flavour, it had lots of flavour and a nice crust fired in the woodfire oven. Set in an old stables this place has a lovely rustic charm, excellently executed. BYO ($2) a lovely touch. Will be back to try their breaky and lunch for sure.
Super yummy pizza in a old style cafe. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.
Highly recommend :)

Lovely located in the small but beautiful old town of Gundaroo. A super choice to have lunch, their pizzas are well worth travelling for. The service was fast and incredibly friendly. It was winter and a bit chilly and everyone was allowed to use a complimentary blanket if you so chose. It's a cosy place, well renovated without taking away from the old-style atmosphere. Only minor point was that the coffee wasn't the best, contrary to the food.
