The Portuguese Bakery - Gymea - Photo album

Great pie! Good tarts too! Forgot to take a pic as we dug into them right away. Service was quick and efficient.
Great little cafe The coffee is good, but the tarts and cake are outstanding
I try their original and passionfruit portugese tart with French doughnut (which is similar with choux pastry filled with cream) all 3 were good.
Visit this store as I was in the area. Had a great range of Portuguese tarts. Purchase a bunch of tarts for a meeting. Everyone enjoyed them.
The quality has significantly dropped - ordered several original tarts and the pastry was chewy and undercooked, & nothing like it was before. Apparently new owners have taken over 3mths ago - hoping they get the old recipe back!!
I will concentrate on the product..... we used the nanna’s rolls for our beef and onion ring rolls. The beef was sous vide for 9 hours and served in a Nanna’s roll with a beer cheese sauce poured over, the rolls were perfect choice for this- great product
Excellent local for pastries and coffee (our local was textbook boulangerie). Loved the chicken and veg pie, such quality ingredients and classic flavour. Portuguese tarts were good too, creamier compared with Royal or sweet Belem and equally good pastry. Also enjoyed the coffees and other pastries.
The owners is one of the rudest people and it blows my mind that he still receives any business. He isn’t afraid to aggressively shout at his customers if he is stressed, and the man gets stressed if he has to make more than two coffees. The food is really yummy as I have to give credit to that, but
