Had our wedding here with the new owners, Matt & Nikki in Dec 2017. They went above and beyond in their service and hospitality. The food was exceptional and they were happy to accommodate our special requests. We would not only recommend Three Gums Bistro as a great place to eat but also a fantastic wedding venue - all of our guests spoke very highly of the venue, the owners and the atmosphere! The staff are terrific, even describing locations for my vision impaired guests. Food is exceptional and a view to match. Price is reasonable and portion size is just right. We will return.
We had our business work Xmas dinner at Three Gums Dec 2017. Matt sat with us & put together a 3 course menu for us taking on board all our likes, dislikes & requests - including a tomahawk steak for my husband. And all we can say is the meal was absolutely AMAZING. And omg the turkey & cranberry Arancini balls we had as an entree- heaven ! As were the chicken satays, with Matt’s own peanut free marinade on the satays which was mouth watering.
Matt is so accommodating & has pure enthusiasm in organizing a function. You get swept up in his excitement & culinary ideas.
We have always been regulars with the previous owners & that will continue with Matt & Nikki now onboard. Sharon, John & Megan built a lovely bistro business , Matt has now taken it to another level.
Beautiful view, beautiful food and beautiful people. Matt and Nikki have created a stunning space and we highly recommend their restaurant..we will absolutely be back!!
My partner and I had our engagement breakfast here this morning. It was amazing..... fantastic atmosphere, amazing view, great hospitality and awesome service. My partner and I were looked after very well. I would recommend this place to anyone who is finding a place to hold a event! Thanks again to Matt and the team.

Had a lovely lunch on the last day of our stay at the Hahndorf Resort caravan park. Food was lovely and fresh and the service was fantastic. Very friendly staff. Definitely will return because we have to try some other things on the menu.

Stopped at the Big 4 camp site and booked in for dinner. Great food, great hosts and the deserts are fantastic. Food is excellent value for money and service was great. In winter we were welcomed by an open fire
Last weekend my partner and I attended his sons wedding at the Hahndorf Resort.
The wedding and reception was held at the fabulous Three Gums Bistro. The food was absolutely scrumptious and it was served to perfection.
Matt (The Manager) was extremely friendly had excellent PR skills and nothing was too much trouble for him.
Matt is an absolute credit to the organisation and they should be extremely lucky to have such a wonderful Manager running The Three Gums Bistro. My partner and I will certainly be dining there again and will be telling all our friends what a wonderful time we had and of Matt's friendly manner and eagerness to help wherever needed.
The food was really tasty and perfectly cooked. I had the beef cheeks and everyone at our table was very happy with their choices. Service fast and efficient and both people serving were very personable. Highly recommended.
The food was just so delicious and the service was great. Lovely decor throughout the restaurant. Together with the tourist park, what a great destination.
Outstanding customer service and beautiful meals. We returned to the bistro for a second time and will be back yet again. The meals are reasonably priced and sooo good. Lovely venue - highly recommended!!
