Review Hahndorf Kaffeehaus - Hahndorf

Nice cafe and restaurant. Plenty of pastries and menu options. A bit pricey but worth it for the nice food and friendly customer service. Plenty of tables and seats inside. Outdoor seating available as well. Great atmosphere. Suitable for large and small groups. Highly recommend dropping and enjoy a cup of coffee and meal here.

These pies don't always disappoint me. The customer service of the staff is also wonderful, so there are many customers. I especially recommend chicken pie, but it may be sold out so it's best to visit early.

Great little gem in Hahndorf. Fantastic coffee and sandwiches. We will most definitely be back. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was tea bags rather than loose leaf.

Unassuming, but surprisingly really lovely. Definitely seems to be where the locals tend to gravitate. Has a nice, small town vibe with friendly staff and lots of yummy pies on offer. Simple, homey meals. I took a chance with the calamari and was pleasantly surprised. Fresh, with great chips. Definitely recommend

I wish I had got a photo of the wonderful food and drink myself and my friend enjoyed here on the 6th of May 2022. We both had wonderful coffee and from memory it was an apple German cake we went halves in, which was so good I struggle to find the words to describe. Wonderfully balanced and tasting of apple, sweet without being too sweet, it was just perfect. And the coffee was absolutely fantastic as well. I will be back!

Great price. The food was simple but cook perfectly. The place was cosy and bakery was fantastic.

Lovely place. Good selection of meals. Coffee was fantastic, had to order another one!

I chose this café from its reviews, because I was looking for a stop-off for a quick and reasonably priced breakfast. The service was very friendly and there seemed to be a stream of regular customers coming and going. I chose scrambled egg with mushrooms and my daughter just had toast. The bread was pretty ordinary sliced, but I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, and my scrambled egg was delicious. The coffee was also very nice. We finished up buying some lovely takeaway cakes too.

Pretty average but fast service. Food brought to your table. We ordered a Reuben on rye. I'm not sure the corned beef was fresh. Was more like the type you get at the deli counter.
The currywurst was nice. Would have preferred it in a bread roll with mustard on the side. Served with fries! Good selection of cakes in the chillers.

German food when in Hahndorf is a must. We went to this original authentic bakery the Kaffehaus Fine Foods. We enjoyed a German lunch from the menu. The service was good. The coffee is just the best, Amanti Coffee where ever I see their sign I am in for a coffee. Reviewed there Establishment in Melbourne, was very impressed.
Okay. This place could be nice friendly staff. But the food wasn't good. Stale bread and a sausage roll that appeared to be on the warmer way too long. Milkshake had no flavour. Very disappointed!
Being in Hahndorf I wanted a German feed but without the overpriced tag so this cafe fit the bill. There was plenty of seating available as we ordered at the counter and sat down. I had a basic sausage with sauerkraut which was yummy.

After several disappointing lunches in nearby overly 'German' pubs and cafes we came here and were pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly, the food honest and tasty and the value for money equation worked. It still has a German touch to it, but it's subtler. This is not the over-the-top 'German sausage and Bretzel' place that you can find down the road, but if you want good, down-to-earth food, this is the place to come.

Nothing special about the food but I thought it was a decent German style cafe which is not overpriced for the location. I had the tomato soup which was quite appetizing and had a good homey feel to it.

Terrible Coffee. Bought 2 coffees which were scalding hot and undrinkable. Staff need to be better trained.

Stopped by Hahndorf for an afternoon and got the Reuben. A little disappointing after my sneaky pickle experiences: Reuben It came toasted (wasn’t a fan) with sauerkraut and thin slices of beef, and a side of coleslaw. I drank horchata which was overly sweet. View Larger Map Tagged: hahndorf , reuben
