Being local we come once a month or so and generally have good to great meal. I had the special wagyu rump with waffle chips and garlic prawns wife had scotch fillet. Scotch was good as has been the case in the past, rump was great cooked just right chargrilled flavor nice prawns and waffle chips in particular were yummy. Overall pretty good for a pub
We have not been to the cove for 12 months as previously the food has been very average. 11/4/15 we had dinner. Penne gambrel & mixed grill. Both were fantastic, good size servings and the staff were polite & efficient. A big turn around by the management I guess. Well done
Great improvement had the scotch fillet which was the best I have had here wife had the beef ribs which were tasty, tender and huge new chef is doing well
Good pub grub. Doesn't try to be sophisticated and doesn't need to. The Cove is a local family friendly place and caters well for it's target clientele.
I had a great experience at the cove tavern. The service was great and the schnitzels and salad bar was great.
Love it!!!. Have been twice for their specials deals. We have had great meals both times and amazing service from a waitress call Jill. We have also made this our new local even though we are not local. Definitely worth the drive.
Pleasantly surprised. Good service, modern pub atmosphere with tasty and well portioned meals and choice of sides. A big improvement from a previous visit some years before so happy to pass on a positive and would gladly go again.
A word to anyone going though – avoid the car-park at the shopping centre and use the car-park on the opposite side of the road to the pub!
Great food. We had a group go for dinner there on a week night. Given it was not very busy the food came out quickly and the cheesy chicken dish was mouthwatering! We'll absolutely be going back.
If you go on a monday or thursday, you can't go wrong. They have 2 schnitzels for $22 on those nights, with free gourmet sauce, and they're fantastic! My favourite is the chicken schnitty with guacamole, bacon and cheese.
I haven't ordered anything else here except the various schnitzels, so i can't really comment on their other food, but if it's a schnitty you're after, give this place a go!
Ok pub food. We took a couple visiting from the UK and another friend here on a Thursday night. We were seated next to a wall in a corner, but it was still incredibly loud for the number of people there. Anyway I ordered the fish and chips and my husband had the steak special. We had no complaints of the taste or the quality of the food. We had an "all you can eat" salad bar and breads to choose from. They were what you would expect, with one really, really yummy mixed salad with an asian dressing which was to die for. Had to go back with the minuscule sized saucer given for the salad bar (why do they do that???!!!) and have seconds just of that salad. We squeezed in dessert because of the coffee plus dessert special that was (I think) $5 per person - really cheap for a choice of coffees and a HUGE ice-cream sundae. Both were really yum. Service was good.
