Service was very friendly and professional, ice cream was the best I've ever tasted and the homemade waffle cones are to die for, can't wait to come back.
The best ice cream I’ve ever had.... it’s so good a cockatoo nearly attacked me to try it haha. Also the ice cream seats and tables are the beat thing I’ve ever seen
OMG, even though a little expensive. This was by far the best food shop we have been to in halls gap. The thick shakes are fantastic.
The home made waffle cones are amazing - as are the ice creams and milkshakes. What impresses me the most is that no matter how busy they are (and sometimes the queues are out of the shop and up the street) the staff are always friendly, courteous and seem unfazed by the non-stop customers from opening to closing time. Keep up the great work guys!
My favourite place to visit for an ice cream . Best waffle cones ever
It's always our family favourite place to stop when in Halls Gap and very enjoyable treat 🍦
Yummy ice cream and waffle cones were to die for...
best hotdogs and ice creams ive ever had! always enjoy my trips to hallgap just to come and enjoy all your treats!
Always make the trip out to Halls Gap for the best Icecream in Victoria
Home made waffle cones are devine as is the ice cream.
Service was good also.
That good that I went back for another taste.
I loved it. One of the best ice cream i have ever tasted
Fantastic waffles and ice cream! Brightens anyones day!
Best ice cream , Great flavours , Great Friendly Service ..
Very delicious waffle cones and ice cream! Best I've ever had! Staff very kind
Flavors are amazing, product is fresh and their homemade waffle cones are the best. To top off a great product was the friendliness of the staff,.
Best ice cream ever and the view surrounding you is amazing.

This place gets busy during those peak holiday periods. At Easter there was a queue 10 deep outside the shop - that shows how popular it is.
Located in the centre of Halls Gap as part of the Stony Creek Stores area, here you’ll find a nice array of ice cream. I’ve included a photo of the most delicious 3 scoop cone! You can also buy cold drinks, lollies as well as hot food such as hot dogs and waffles.
Prices are reasonable considering Halls Gap is a little remote. Staff are great and extremely helpful, serving everyone with a smile.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Good parking across the road.
Hands down the best gelato we’ve ever had!!
So many vegan friendly options available and the blood orange flavour comes HIGHLY recommended!
The shop is small and has a big reputation, so prepare to line up on a warm day. But the staff are quick and friendly, so the wait isn’t too bad... well worth it.
Very reasonably priced despite being so popular, and they make their own waffle cones too.
This place is worth a trip to Halls Gap alone! Hahaha

Coolas is a fun little ice cream shop in Halls Gap and the perfect little stop for a treat on your way back from hiking in The Grampians. Some of the Norgen-Vaas branded flavors were more kid-friendly with rainbow swirl and birthday cake, but I decided to go for a "banana boat" (aka banana split) made with cookies & cream and "Stairway to Heaven," which is made with Belgian white chocolate ice cream, caramel swirl, and chocolate chips. I will say, the flavors were pretty heavenly. Was it the best ice cream I've ever had? No. Was it still super delicious? You bet!
Polite and friendly staff. Surrounded by all that is Halls Gap. Loved the Hokey Pokey flavour. Definitely worth the $4.90. Beautiful waffle cone
Good ice cream to beat the heat.. Highly recommended to have the salted caramel, Belgian chocolate and the white chocolate with raspberry...
Very happy with the ice cream here. The price is very affordable considering this is in a tourist popular place and also the town center. There are also so many flavors to choose from. A must-visit place especially in nice and warm days. Highly recommend!
Good ice creams, amazing waffle cones and Absolutely stunning location. The stream outside and for picnic benches outside are the perfect setting to eat the ice cream. Also very reasonably priced.
The homemade waffle cones are thick, crunchy and delicious. The icecream is good, not amazing but the best you'll get in halls gap. The macadamia flavour was yum.
No trip to the Grampians is complete without a stopover at this ice cream place. They have a big variety of flavours plus a few other specials. My favourite is definitely their New York Chunky choc as I enjoy the crunchiness added by the chocolate bits in the ice cream
Stopped by Halls Gap for lunch after visiting around the Grampians national park. Saw that this ice cream place was pretty popular therefore I decided to try it. I got the vanilla choc fudge flavour in their homemade waffle cone..it was tasty, as all ice creams are! For the price, I think the scoops are pretty generous.
a little overrated, they did have a range of flavors but none of them were that outstanding, really friendly staffs and good service tho. also had an iced coffee which was a little sour and too sweet, and hot dogs were decent.
overall ice cream was cheap ($4.5 1scoop, $5.5 2 scoops, $6.5 3 scoops) so i guess was worth.
After a trek around the Venus Baths Loop, we headed over to the busy Coolas Ice Creamery for a sugar fix. The range here is a brand I find hilariously named Nörgen Vaaz but they also sell your standard Streets and prepackaged ice-creams too. Service is efficient and you get a huge dollop for five bucks for two scoops. Coolas is also next to the stream and other eating options making for a mini-escape to let all your woes down the river.
Had their lemon gelato which was refreshing, while their home-made waffle cone were great too! It was a decent place to stopover at Grampians to grab an ice-cream, as there were lots of flavours to choose from!
This ice-cream shop is literally worth a 50 minute drive from Horsham. The homemade waffle cones are amazing! I hate getting ice-creams anywhere else nw because the cones cannot compare. Also the brand of ice-cream they use is very nice (highly recommend the rock salt caramel!). the service is always lovely and friendly and considering how busy they can get on a hot day they do well to be efficient. It's true that they say you haven't been to Halls Gap until you've had one of their ice-creams, because it truly is tradition!
A must try when in Halls Gap! The Baileys ice cream is amazing! It's my favourite flavour and I have been looking for it everywhere ever since I moved to Melbourne. Other good flavours include the Rainbow and Peppermint ice cream. They are so good! No kidding!
Just make sure you schedule your travel well because the shop closes at different hours during the week.
Ice cream is by Norgen-Vaaz, but the waffle cones were freshly home-made (and excellent). Prices were decent ($7 for a three-scoop sundae, $3.9 for one scoop in a waffle cone).
It's an ice cream shop that does ice cream, so if you'd like ice cream it shouldn't disappoint.
Best Halls Gap Ice Cream!. Definitely the best ice cream in Halls Gap! They have some interesting flavours too. I definitely recommend going here.

Extensive range of ice cream this place gets a HUGE line during peak times so come early! So many flavours and the order system seems reasonably quick enough. Waffle cones are made there apparently but taste the same as any others!
Enjoyed the ice cream after a long walk around the area. Delicious and refreshing. Lots of options. It was expensive a double scoop for $7.50 though.
Service from the window was quite robotic with no scene of human interactions. Don’t expect a smile.
Lovely location and very efficient service. Considering the obvious effort put into making the ice cream and hand crafting the cone, the price of $7.50 of a waffle cone and two scoops seemed reasonable!
Thanks for a great experience and will make sure we recommend it and visit when we come past next.
We were luckily enough to get a scoop before they closed and skip the long lines. I got the Irish cream, it was so creamy and delicious. It's definitely worth stopping for a scoop and watching the wandering kangaroos hop by!
The most amazing ice cream I’ve ever tasted! . Highly recommended!!! mango and bubblegum .
Sooo yum!! Loads of awesome flavours to pick from, the staff are super helpful in recommending flavour combos. The choc fudge ice cream was a highlight for me 🍦
Lovely ice cream shop in Halls Gap. We enjoyed the hand-made waffle cone and the ice cream were delicious!
