Second time to Halls Gap and only just tried this place for the first time. Located a short drive out of the main town area. Surprisingly big and full of people (Saturday night dinner). Staff were friendly, food was great. I had the crispy cauliflower bites - pretty spicy. And the Vietnamese noodle salad with tofu. Both dishes were very enjoyable. The tofu was wonderfully cooked and had a slight crust on it and the salad wasn't drowned in dressing. Happy to dine there again.

Our food took 40 minutes to come but honestly I do not blame them because they are pretty much the only place open for dine-in in Halls Gap. Everything else are either closed or takeaway only because of staff shortage. Huge outdoor dining area with the look over the mountain and lots of kangaroos. Great vibe even just for a beer and a bowl of chips. The food weren’t anything fancy and awesome but they are nice pub food. Burger and pizza look sad but the steak and parma were good. Overall great place to dine in Halls Gap.

Surrounded by perfect scenery, this pub is as good as it looks! Great meals, friendly staff and plenty of Australian wildlife on the door step. Had to visit multiple times to enjoy what the menu had to offer. Perfect little hideaway for a drink on the back deck or a great meal with friends and family.

Was recommended this place by the friendly owner of our motel. Tried the beef brisket, black lentils in coconut curry, and the kangaroo tasting platter. The highlight for me has got to be the black lentils, they were delicious!

Great meals and service at reasonable prices. Great views when dining out and a great atmosphere

Very tasty food but a bit overpriced for the portions. Kangaroo tasting plate was my favourite, very tasty and tender meat.

We had a take away order. It was reasonably priced and the food was handed to us in around 20 minutes, which was excellent. Staff were courteous and food was tasty. The Hawaiian pizza was not the best, as it only had a few pineapple pieces. Overall I would recommend this eatery.

Very nice pub food, had the kangaroo, Korean chicken and a snitty.

Staff are awesome, great place to eat food was delicious would be happy to recommend this place to anyone wanting great atmosphere and food.

Staff excellent...warm and inviting...the pizza was to die for....all that spicy tasty lamb with the beautiful cheesy yoghurt was just the thing to warm me up while watching the rain pelt down sideways....beer nice and cold.....and great atmosphere...oh did I mention the arancini balls??? Yum yum yum....

Second time visiting this beautiful place. Both time our meals was ten out of ten, view was magic and the seating outside in the sun was heaven. Thoroughly recommend and can't wait to come back again. Thanks guys.

Had a great meal, a little expensive but worth it for a faultless meal, the staff that served us were friendly,the weather outside was cold, inside they had a wood fired heater cracking to add to the atmosphere & views.

The atmosphere is warm and friendly, service was prompt despite the mayhem of school holidays and the food was delish! Kids meals are generous and my steak was perfection on a plate. The view of misty mountain and mobs of grazing kangaroos is a delight.

We recently enjoyed a beautiful dinner at the Halls Gap Hotel. Lovely dining area and a menu with a great range to choose from. Would happily recommend this venue to anyone staying in the area. The chargrilled steaks was yummo and cooked exactly as we had ordered.

We had a lovely meal here on Sunday night. We turned up an hour early because being on holidays we forgot daylight savings. Our table was in a room with not a lot of lighting so made it hard to read menu. Food was delicious and a good serving. Would recommend this as a good eatery.

Great place to stop for a meal and wine, friendly staff and a lovely view, it was relaxing and peaceful out on the verandah.

Amazing meal done to perfection and then when dessert came we were so stuffed we struggled to get through it but it was the best so we managed. Well done Matt and staff.

Our favourite stop over! Always an awesome meal, but the lamb backstrap I had the other night was the best!! Absolutely delicious! Thanks guys X

We will always find an excuse/reason to go here when visiting the Gap. Have only ever had one feed that we weren't impressed with at all but s ... happens. It's a lovely place, great view, kid friendly, dog friendly, love the fires, the staff are friendly. Our last visit on 30/9 we had the roast pork on the specials board - lots of different veggies & the garlic bread was hot & buttery. Complaint? Not enough gravy guys! Love my gravy. LOL

Just when I thought it couldn't get better ...IT DID! Today's special board had an eye fillet wrapped in bacon with a cheese mash and roasted baby vegies topped with mushroom sauce....AMAZING!!! definitely THE BEST meal I have ever had. Matt & MaryAnn please put this on the permanent menu �
