Review Commercial Hotel Hamilton - Hamilton

The bar staff were great, and gave us a positive initial impression. When the entree arrived, it was good. Unfortunately the main course was almost inedible. Perhaps beef schnitzel won't be as tender as the chicken version, but this was like leather.

Still no food it’s been more then an hour I will give an update after my food! If it shows up Update: It took 1 and a half hours to get my food, and it was so so so small and I had a pizza and they gave me 3 tiny peaces and it wasn’t even good!! My mum got the Garlic prawns and it was her main meal and it looked like an entree!

The staff are very friendly and welcoming as soon as you open the door. They were able to answer all our questions and dietary needs. The chef even came out after our meal and asked for feedback. The food is absolutely delicious. The chicken is cooked perfect and moist. The home made apple crumble is to die for. Everything is made to order and literally home made by the chef. Absolutely loved our dinner and would visit again next time we are in town!!!

I’m not sure how the food is, as I’ve been here for an hour and a half and nothing yet. Might get back with an update. Here is a pic of the table where the food should be.

Terrible place to eat terrible service waited 2 and a half hours to get plastic served steak , 3 cold meals and the bar staff calling me bro , why because of the colour of my skin either way it’s a negative 5 stars and highly recommend not yo go there

Lovely bloke behind the bar, good food and a fantastic selection of beers!

Always friendly and helpful. Then there was this. Pear, poached in merlot, with a fresh caramel sauce, then topped with a transcendental merlot glaze.

Food was great value and service very good. Great place for lunch, nice and quick.

What a great pub to stay at! Just your basic hotel room and a shared bathroom, all old but that's the way l like them. Janice and Candy couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. To the both of you the best of luck and my best wishes for the future, whatever it may hold. I'll be back!!

I like going to our Commercial Hotel as the service is great and the staff are very friendly and of ourse the food is great to.

We had my daughter's 18th here and I could not fault. Service was awesome bar and kitchen staff go out of there way to accommodate your needs food was extremely well priced for the massive serving that you get. again thank you for the awesome service

There used to be a Commercial Hotel in every city near the old railway routes. Vancouver is gone. Still one in Victoria, edmonton, and Hamilton
