Review Cabin - Hampton

Absolutely love this little cafe! The staff are incredible and super friendly, we always get an excellent experience! It’s now my regular spot! As people who have our dogs with us most of the time, they make us and the dogs feel so very welcome and the dogs get totally spoilt too!! (Doggy treats 😃) Coffee is superb. (I’m super fussy with my coffee being a previous life barista)😂 All up, a wonderful place to go! And they make an awesome Açaí bowl as well!🥰 10*

Magnificent little slice of paradise! Coffee is superb - my oat cap is perfect everyday! The e & b roll (with cheese) is delish and the toasties are awesome! Staff are super friendly, always full of beans and up for a chat! Great Bayside cafe. Highly recommend!

Coffee was scolding. Milk clearly well past 65 degrees. Flavour ruined. Bacon and Egg roll. Leathery bacon on dry old bread. Was like chewing cardboard. Not much love here.

The coffee is amazing, service is exceptional and consistent. I always get amazing coffee, they know my order and my wifes. Friendly, welcoming service makes the experience even better. Keep up the awesome work, amazing coffee! Very cool Mark having some fun with the different ways to write my name. Coffee always good.

THE best coffee on Hampton street. Friendliest staff and great food. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. 10 stars.

Great coffee, toasty & service

I would give zero stars if I could. The açai bowl had no açai, it was basically a watery smoothy in a bowl. Tasted like there was dairy in it, asked staff, was assured there wasn’t. There clearly was as I had a reaction a few hours after eating it. Note to owners and staff- please don’t be so flippant about food allergies, I am lucky mine isn’t life threatening but it could have easily been so much worse. Coffee was good but would avoid eating here ✌️

I will dubbed this my new little local - a cosy cafe which is surprisingly quite spacious inside with a varied menu and great coffee. I love the outdoor seating which sits on the corner of Hampton St. Ample parking at the rear so it is a breeze to get to and visit. Highly recommended!

love this place!! i come in rarely but when i do i am alway welcomed with such warm and positive people. I have mostly been served by a girl called Ruby i believe that is her name, she is always so nice and helpful and really knows what she is doing and her hospitality skills make me want to come back more! the little sitting nook outside is so lovely on a sunny day and the eggs benny is absolutely delicious!! 10/10 on everything

A great cosy cafe, which was surprisingly spacious and varied in their menu, despite the small size of the venue itself. Great coffee and reasonably priced food for the area too! Would highly recommend!

I’ve only had coffee here on a few occasions now but have to say it’s my favourite coffee in Hampton. The staff are friendly and service has been good. My go to for a good cupa I’ll have to try the food on a future visit.

Comfy, cute, coffee, caring.

Walking around Hampton, looking for a place to eat, I came across Cabin.

I ordered the mushroom special and a coffee from a very happy and lovely waitress.

Great coffee! And I’m not the only one to think that, as every few seconds there was a new customer coming in for take away coffee.

The food was great too! Plenty of mushroom, really nice flavours and well balanced! Loved the extra crunch of the toasted buckwheat!

A great little cafe to stop by. Thanks for breakfast
Ugh this place is just so SWEET. I was told by a barista at Otto to come down and try the coffee here, and let me tell you, it was worth the extra 5 minutes in the other direction! Such a pleasant little space with such cute green plants. Coffee was unreal, can’t believe a cafe like this hasn’t had more attention?! For a major coffee freak like myself, you don’t hear of many cafes that do a drip, brew and have the option of a pour over!!! Wow

good coffee. food is very average and dated. got the bruschetta- could have made it at home just as well. needs a better menu and chef. i do enjoy the coffee though nice temperature

Lovely place really nice food and great service.
The only thing I could fault is not being able to fit my pram inside, but heaps of room outside to sit if it is a good day.

Such an amazing use of space and the staff here are always so friendly and easy to talk to. Coffee has been the most consistent I've ever had, it's where I take my friends when they suggest a coffee catch-up. Try their bruschetta it's amazing. Great job to the team at cabin!

My favourite cafe for coffee in Hampton thanks to the loveliest staff and consistently excellent coffee. Haven't tried the food but nice fresh pastries too :)

Great little cafe, very friendly and welcoming. Coffee and pastry are great and well priced. If in the area again, I will definitely come back and try their meals as the look good.

Was a hot day so just wanted a quick smoothie. Can’t believe I just wasted $9.50 for a smoothie that tasted like milk with a bit of peanut butter, not to mention waited about 15 mins + and the cafe was near empty. All I noticed was them chatting the whole time, I don’t think they started making my drink until about 4 mins before I got it, think they forgot. Never again.

I love accidentally finding a new cafe to eat at. Found Cabin in that way. Love the font with the A like a mountain!

Superb seating in the shade with twist around table tops (like on a plane) to eat at. Very 🐕 friendly.

Only thing was again lackadaisical service. Can I excuse it bcz of grand final fever.

Oh dear a sweet potato and salmon fritter with yoghurt dressing was microwaved? Surely not? Tasted like it. Didn't appeal looks wise. Greasy and very little canned salmon? within the fritter. Salad whilst tasty had not been refreshed and was wilted. Hard to believe Hampton would have a groovy cafe and yet food was subpar.

Place looks gorgeous but looks deceive. I guess I should always go inside to see what's what.

Oh well.

great coffee but overall halfway there. eggs were underdone and the fritters are premade, too thick and reheated with a very strong dill flavour - not my favourite. was very busy inside with many happy customers so im sure i picked the wrong dish. ill try again another time.

Cabin is a small little cafe hidden just off Hampton street. The fit out is warm and uses the space well- an improvement on the cafe previously spaced here. The coffee is fantastic, food is simple but done well with the space they have- I particularly like the Avo on toast with 65 degree eggs (all the rage at the moment) and a little balsamic- delish! Service is an added bonus.

Interesting experience! We wanted a soft boiled egg with toast soldiers, but the place doesn't have a hob to cook on. The eggs are apparently cooked 'sous vide' in a temperature controlled tank but were almost raw. They couldn't do anything for us, aside from offering to cook the eggs longer (the tops had been cut off, so go figure). To top it off they charged us $7 for the toast soldiers which were also undercooked. Coffee was good, but a return is unlikely. Advice, get a gas ring, the recipe is lower into boiling water, simmer one minute. Stand four minutes with lid on!

What a lovely little cafe off the beaten track! This cafe certainly uses every inch of space with lots of nooks and crannies inside and outside. The coffee was delicious and hit the spot. I had the Bircher muesli and this was also extremely fresh and filling. Thanks guys

Nice little spot tucked away of Hampton St. Great menu on offer and the staff were very accomodating and friendly. The cafe has a refreshing outlook with plenty of natural light and impressive timber interior. The coffee was just right. We shared the Bircher Muesli and they were kind enough to put it in two bowls for us - and the serving size was very healthy. Will be heading back in again soon.

1.5 for coffee and friendliness :/ To be fair the the guy that served me was friendly but the lady making coffee wasn't impressed when I asked if they have rice milk :p

Second time here, was served by two lovely girls who were really welcoming & up for a great chat. Soy latte was really creamy, one of the best I've had in the area. Enjoyable atmosphere & really refreshing change from last cafe! Will 100% be back.

Great new addition in Hampton. Food is really good. Great coffee (had a delicious long black!), topped off with lovely staff! Definitely coming back and recommend this place! :)

Been here twice now for coffee. Great improvement from the previous cafe. Nice fit out and very fresh. Regular small sized coffee $3.80 so not over priced like many places in Hampton st (although it's on Willis st)

Good was make quickly, nice and creamy buy strong both times. Positive and prompt service.

A small menu but will be back to try the food for brunch.

First Impressions - Beautiful, ambient and cosy cafe spot just off the main Hampton St.

Coffee - hot, strong and perfect soy milk to espresso ratio.

Verdict: New fav spot for coffee in bayside.

Really great coffee - perfect texture, robust flavor and smooth soy milk ( nice and hot too!!). Great new find in Hampton - will definitely be back.

Great coffee, friendly staff & a lovely sun filled spot for a winter break whilst shopping on Hampton st. Also not noisy so good for a catch up or a quiet read.

Awesome things happen in this teeny-tiny space.
The light-filled cafe is an absolutely gorgeous place to enjoy weekend brunch.
Coffee is great & food is fantastic. I'll definitely be back!
