Excellent experience of Indian food in Chatkazz, busy line up outside lol!! I order few dishes which got photos on menu, they look like what I want to try, two people have not enough space try them all, need come next time for some more adventure!!
Been to this restaurant couple of times now. It serves good Indian snacks and main courses. I love the chole bhature and Chinese bhel. M a vada pau fan but i didnt really enjoy eating it here.
Great food in a casual atmosphere at a great price too. The service was efficient even though it was a busy night with dining in as well as takeaway and delivery orders. Really can’t fault this place at all.
Went to this place on a weekday. As usual this place was jam packed. Order kadai panner and naan. It was good. Also ordered mango lassi. It was awesome. It is one of the best place in Sydney to have vegetarian food.
Survival with vegetarian cuisine is a hard task at Sydney. Chatazz has made it easier for those who eat vegetarian food. Taste the Indian delicacies at its best.
The restaurant specialises in Indian street food, from chapatta chat, south Indian, chatkazz de parathe, pizza, Mumbai roadside specials and Bombay Chinese dishes. I forgot what dishes we purchased that night, but overall the quality was delicious! The sweetness in the dishes were tastefully done right. The texture of the curry was creamy and had so much flavour and fullness to the taste. I really appreciate fresh watermelon juice and the juice I got was perfect...
Review up on my blog: purplecuriosity.wordpress.com/2020/02/12/chatkazz/
Edited my review with recent visit.
A pure vegetarian restaurant,, having menu items from most part of india..
very popular vegetarian Indian restaurant in Sydney..
Mostly crowded, waiting would be there any day specially more on occasions..
Food we tried, must try, which was good in taste:
Bhel puri, Sabuduana vada, veg crispy, jalapeno poppers, vada sambar, vada pav Bombay style, chilli paneer dry, veg fried rice, cheese & garlic naan so soft & yummy, chaas, mango lassi..
Suggestions to management - hope the diversity in menu is also there in the ambience I can see only Bollywood posters..
Tava rice was ok..i liked raita the most
Great food..You can get actual flavours of India and food is hygienic.
Amazing food and quick service...countless times to this place...absolutely love the flavours
Wasn’t sure what I was eating as I selected items that were the most popular. Everything was very good! Especially the little round puffs and the chickpea dish.
Delicious, divine, aromatic, almost sensual! What a place. From the moment you step foot in this cozy retreat you are greeted by a waft of some absolutely divine smells. Good service, a wide variety of vegetarian items to choose from, and above all- exceptional and authentic Indian veg cuisine.
This place tasted so good I came twice in the same day! Large menu with amazing options to choose from. Enjoyed the buttery Dahl and the dosa platter.
I loved this place! My favourite dishes were samosa chaat and paneer chilly dry - so delicious! We also ordered the veg kohlapuri which was incredibly spicy I couldn't handle it (it did come with yoghurt though) and the paneer butter masala which I've really enjoyed. We finished off with a mango lassi to recover from the chilli. Great meal overall and so so cheap!
We were in Sydney for 2 nights and the moment we landed we were craving for Indian food. Staying in parramatta brought us to this place and we were thoroughly satisfied. Though the night we reached for diner the staff forgot to serve us the chole bhature we ordered it was okay. It made us come the next morning for breakfast again and we enjoyed the jalebi fafda breakfast being a Sunday. The next day before leaving for Melbourne we again had breakfast here. Everything on the menu is tempting but the chole bhature, samosa, parathas and jalebi fafdas are the best. Being a Bombay ite I was a lil disappointed with their ussal Paav but I had to let that pass. Idlis were good too. Staff was kind and polite. Cheers guys.
On the last day in Sydney, we visited the Harris Park where we found a gem for Indian food. CHATKAZZ is a place where you just take the name of any Indian food and they serve it in minutes.
Ambience is good to spend time there with friends and family. The staff is so humble to serve you at their best.
Above all the taste of everything you will try is super yumm.
So must visit Chatkazz if you are in Sydney 👍👍
I have been waiting to go to this indian haven forever.
This is a one stop solution for all indian foodlovers.
We ordered so much, and everything we had was just fantabulous.
The gol gappas were so crispy and good, the misal pav just so delicious, chhole bhature for the early morning sunday cravings and the butter chicken for the late night savoury modes.
Fried Rice Manchurian, both the sizzlers and Pau Bhaji just superbbb!!!
It was all so good and we are definitely going back for more!
A must visit for Indian cuisine in Sydney. They have a huge menu with options ranging from Chinese to fast food to Indian mains. It truly reminds me of the Mumbai street foods. The ambience and surrounding make you forget of being outside India. Must visit if you haven’t yet.
Must try the chhole bhature, various types of chaat, the misal pav, the indo Chinese options... and of course the nimbu soda, kalakhatta soda..
The restaurant serves authentic Indian food with no scope of improvement. The service is at its best. Our order Mamchow soup, paneer chilly dosa and schezwan fried rice. Each dish was exactly the same as what we get served in India. Special Accolades to the owners, the chefs and the staff of this restaurant. Thank You.
I had a great time eating lunch here yesterday. I had read all the amazing reviews on Zomato and they sure are true.
I enjoyed the following:
Palak Paneer - good quality spinach puree and plenty of paneer cubes. Seasoned very well and with a lot of cream as well. I had the regular portion size and its enough to feed 2 hungry adults.
Naan - slightly undercooked, could have spent another minute or two in the tandoor.
Tandoori roti - very good quality
Fresh lime soda - generous quantity and a refreshing beverage on such a sunny day.
Total bill AUD 27. Service was very pleasant. They even play the latest Hindi music!
Definitely recommended and I will be back soon :)
Great taste. Ordered Dosa, dahi wada, tawa pulao and idly sambhar. Dosa and dahi wada was awesome.fast service but very crowded.parking is a problem.
Hatsoff to the chef the management love the service and food. A place that never disappoints me atall. May whatever my mood would be it makes happy with the presentation, taste, quantity & ambience. Would recommend prior booking as its always crowded. Totally gives the indian feeling. Best part is that it even provides JAIN & NOG(No Onion and Garlic) options for majority dishes.
Had ginger spice and iced coffee drinks both great. The pilau paneer was a bit of a miss however the chilli spiced fries, pani puri, Channa bahore, and dosa where all delish. Super friendly service and great AC on a super hot day!
This is my first time to a veg only restaurant in Sydney and I must say it exceeded my expectations. It’s a pretty busy restaurant and we had to wait for 15 mins to get a table though it was Tuesday. Food was delicious undoubtedly. I loved their cheese pav and paneer butter masala the most. All the other dishes were flavourful and mouth-watering too. It was a comfort spicy food. Service was not up to the mark as it does not matter in a busy restaurant like this. Overall, a must try veg restaurant.

Hands down the best Indian vegetarian restaurant in Sydney and my first 5 star in Sydney of all the cuisines and restaurants I have been to.
The expectations were pretty high when I stepped in as Chatkazz always had a long queue and it was worth the wait.
It has yummy delicious food.Had a few dishes and chole bhature, misal pav, sweet lassi and ras kalai stand out particularly chole bhature was just awesome.
Their service is super polite and helpful.
All the check boxes of quality, quantity, ambience and the rest are all ticked and this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I seldom give 5 stars
Located at Harris Park
Close to the station
This place is amazing and is known for indian food
I loved their Chinese versions, bombay version of chatka, chaats etc.
We had the veg crispy, paneer chilli dry, pani puri, Gini dosa, Hakka noodles, Triple schezwan rice, watermelon juice and ice gola (kalakhatta)
I would love to try their pizzas on my next visit.
The staff is extremely friendly and the ambience and service was exceptional here!!
Ambience- 4.5/5
Service- 4/5
Cost- 4/5
Food - 5/5
Quality- 5/5
Quantity- 4/5
I just drove an hour to eat here. worth it for the pani puri alone! Don’t have any photos as I ate everything too quickly!
Had naan, samosas, kholipuri (not how you spell it) curry. All amazing!
Cheese pav-bhaji (mumbai roadside special which is a veggie curry with 2 buttered dinner rolls), gobi pyaz paratha (flaky bread with cauliflower & spice stuffing with a side of yogurt dip), garlic-cheese naan & Indian desserts. The desserts aren't my style but the savoury food was top notch. Everything was super fresh and the waitstaff are really friendly. The vibe of the restaurant is also lively. The ordering system is simple, you jot down what you want on an order form and one of the waitstaff will process you order.
Best indian vegetarian joint in Sydney area. Open most day and most items available. Tasty food, super fast service, polite. We ordered some Chinese dishes, not very authentic tasting like other eateries in India & high on oil.... But still considering other options in Sydney, this is like heaven strongly recommend but just remind them to be less oil
If you are craving Indian street food, look no further.
They have a wide variety of Indian food right from punjabi samosa to south jndian idlis and dosas and gujrati fafda jalebis. They do weekend breakfast special which is a must go.
Generally crowded but quick service.A masala lemonade to enjoy while you gorge on scrumptious Indian food.
My favourite indian street food. Always busy but the quality never decreases. Also the service is also quite fast which is great when you have little ones with you. Love love love this place.
Went in high hopes for this place and certainly didn’t disappoint. Was in there on a Sunday evening and the eatery was packed. The doorman wrote down our names and we waited for our turn around the gas heater provided outside , which I thought was a nice gesture. Went in five minutes later and ordered the vada pav , masala dosa , lachha paratha and palak paneer. Vada pav was nice was wasn’t crispy enough for me . But ohh boy the lachaa paratha and palak paneer blew me away. Felt like a good honest meal which took me back to the streets of India for a second. Often the simple dishes brings back our childhood memories. Masala tea was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
My partner also liked her masala dosa too.
We left the place happy and content . Thank you chatkazz.
+3 standard points for food
+1 amazing curry / flavour experience
+1 great breads (except for the naan)
Noise level: very loud (difficult to talk)
Will be returning for an interesting food experience!
Had the palak paneer and roti. Roti was fresh and Palak was blended with more spices and had more complexity than I can usually find elsewhere.
The naan is nicer at the nepalese place on the other street.
MUST GET JINI DOSA AND THE PANEER TIKKA MASALA!!! Staff are always polite and friendly, and the food is always excellent. Can get super busy at dinner time so be prepared to wait a small amount of time.
Authentic North and South Indian food and street food, need a i say more?
I enjoyed my experience at the Bella Vista branch, I had to try the original Harris Park franchise.
Service was quick and prompt, food is amazing, and the ambiance is lively.
Chatkazz is a gold mine for authentic Indian street food and Indian dishes with a twist. Beware it is Vegetarian so don’t go searching for butter chicken. Every dish is packed with flavour and spice. The Chinese flavour fusion idli is my favourite thing on the menu. Also I love any place that plays hit Bollywood songs so I can’t dance while I eat.
If you're an Indian who is from Mumbai and misses the food back home then this is the place to go to. I recommend every person who loves Indian vegetarian food, to visit this restaurant. The Mango lassi is to die for. the chole bhatura is amazing. the samosas are awesome and pani puri also is really good. This restaurant is the closest you will get to eating indian street food. The only downside is that its always crowded so expect a wait of minimum 10-15 minutes and also the staff is not so friendly. thats why i gave it 4 stars.
Food is good. I go there regularly.Very good Indian vegetarian street eats. If only the tables weren't so smaller, and restaurant is congested. But the place is pretty popular , what with always filled with people and the queues waiting to be seated .
My favourite place for dosa and lassi. Generally a little pricier than most indian restaurants but definitely worth it because the food is amazing! I've been here a few times and it's usually pretty busy, even on weeknights. Goes to show how popular it is 😊
Every Indian living in Sydney must have once at least been here. A Little expensive than other Indian Restaurants in the city but it's worth it. I like their Chilli paneer Dosa.
Amazing place to dine and have sumptuous Indian cuisines..
Complete feel of an Indian restaurant and an superb ambience.
Amazing taste and quick service..!🍻
One of the best Indian food you will get in sydney.Taste and quantity equally justify the price you pay.If you visit sydney do try ones this restaurant.Total vegetarian restaurant. With all the varieties of Indian food. Masala tea was just refreshing the tase of Indian tea. Totally worth it.
Accepting the fact that I always crave for Indian chatpata street food, when I was in Sydney this restaurant was my saviour. I ordered mango lassi, dahi puri chaat and paneer chilli dry. The menu of restaurant resembles to maximum number of restaurants in India. Large variety to choose your meal and service "oh so quick". It's always a crowded place in Paramatta. Simply loved the food. Also, ambience was Bollywood theme which gave a feel of Mumbai juhu chowpatti type. Overall I recommend this place to those who fond of Indian chatpata food.
Amazing service, friendly smiles everywhere! Food was delicious, so much spices and amazing flavours! Would recommend and would definitely come back!
Every Indian have to, will be, might have been already visited this place. purely for vegetarians.! All the favourite dishes in India are been served and loved by everyone equally.!! Masala Pav my personal favourite, but they also serve good fried rice and chat.!😀👍🏻
Yummmm!!! It's been a year now that I moved to Australia... and I have been missing authentic Indian food since then... ohh but this time my tastebuds were happy and satisfied eating the food @chatkazz😊. We ordered chili paneer and misal pav coz I wanted to have something spicy... and got exactly what I was expecting for. I have tried many Indian restaurants here in Sydney but nothing beats this one. Food was Great... service was fast... staff was friendly... cleanliness spot on. Great job chatkazz team.👍
Yummy Indian food!
Tried Jeera Rice, Chole Bhature & Paneer Chilly Dosa!
Ambience was decent.. place was super busy but attentive service folks.
Food -
Jeera Rice - Really good and just what it should be
Chole Bhature - Super yummy, perfect!
Paneer Chilly Dosa - Was okay. Oily but independently Dosa was decent and so was the curry inside.. combo not so much.
Overall, had tasty Indian food after 2 weeks of everything else in Sydney!
The Go to place for local Indian population when it comes to Chat and Indian Street food in Sydney. They have a pretty big menu and it might be a bit hit and miss if you don't know what you want. Went in early as they get quite busy on weekends. Ordered a few things like Papdi Chaat, Pani Puri, Chole Bhature, Club Sandwich, Chilli Idli Chinese Style, Nimbu Masala Soda, Cold Coffee with Ice Cream, Masala Chaas. Pani Puri and Chilli idli were pretty sub par but the rest of the items were well made. All in all it was a good outing.
Closest I have felt to having lip smacking indian food, mostly indian street food as we would call most of the items on the menu!
Best pav bhaji in sydney :) and also as compared to a lot of places in india itself. The pani puri wasnt spot on for me but I rather have it this way than not have it at all.
The chinese bhel was the show stopper! The dosas are yum. Crispy with lovely chutneys.
The indo chinese is really good.
Thank god for Chatkazz!! :)
Whilst my trip in Sydney I heard about this place being one of the best for Indian food. Their pani puri was so delicious and spicy though it did lack a little bit of that bang when you have Indian street food. My friend ordered the Chole Bathura and the bathura was so soft! It's a great place for a family/friends gathering with a wide menu!
Best place I have ever been to my entire life. Every bite turned me on. Loved it. Definitely coming back with a bang bam bam. I will be back here when I need to feel this bombastic 😙😉😊
We have been here to have Indian Chaats....We had Chola Bathura,Dahi Puri,PaavBhaji.Chola Bathura and Dahi Puri are too good. PaavBhaji could be better. Its quite busy place in weekends.
It's Good Place to have Indian street food.Ambience is good.
We arrived at 10:30am and there is already a line. Chatkazz serves Western Indian vegetarian street food from the Gujarati region. What a delicious start to the morning, much better than plain old oats or toast. If this is a typical Indian breakfast, I am up for adoption. We sample the Jalebi, a vibrant orange sweet indian style pretzel served for breafast. The khaman dhokla, a light, airey, savoury sponge that was perfect for soaking up the mint and tamarind sauce. The pick of the bunch was a serving of fried sago fritters called sabudana vada and of course it was served with sides of chutney. It wouldn't be right to not have a cup of chai. This version was quite potent, with a few cubes of sugar needed to sweeten the brew
Probably the best 'general' restaurant for Indian snacks in Harris Park. Try their fafda-jalebi on weekends (or maybe just Sunday). Quick service, hygienic. Maybe they could either increase the quantity or reduce the prices :)
I must confess, I am no expert when it comes to Indian Food so MW and I decide to check out the Harris Park Food Taste Tour. The Taste Food Tours is a not-for-profit organisation that is designed to promote diversity and cultural harmony. Today, we venture out into the suburb of Harris Park which is known for it's authentic Indian Food.
Great food and great service. I got my food quite quickly here and I was impressed with the prices and the quality of the food. Although my friebds food was too spicy for my liking, I ordered the dai bura and I was not dissapointed.
I live in Bombay for the 1st 10yrs of my life & I used to eat the street food almost everyday and I'm glad Chatkaaz is in Sydney as it brings back a lot of memories for me! Always good food, the vadas are fresh & yummy, you can taste the potatoes too unlike other places who serve the frozen ones.. The veg club sandwich was also pretty good.. Love eating here!
Additional score for getting authentic Indian delicacies in NSW! We feasted on almost every item on the menu
Special mention for cola soda, paneer poppers and paav bhaji
Banares paan is the show stopper !
One of the best places in Sydney if you want vegetarian Indian food. Quite busy on weekends so be prepared to wait for upto 45 minutes.
Chole Bhatura is very good, Tea is also very good. Vada Pav is also something which can be had while here.
Good service and very kind on the pocket.
