Review Billus Indian Eatery - Harris Park

Spacious restaurant with both internal and external seating options as well as a catering section. The food was enjoyable and reasonably priced. We were attended to very well with an immediate welcome. Plenty of staff are around to take orders. Table water and napkins were provided without asking and the menu had a large variety to choose from.

Had their veg thali and it was beyond expectations - delicious, ample quantity/portion size and so worth the buck. Hard to find a match at less than $20. Preferred outdoor seating as indoor music was too loud. Definitely going to visit again.

Terrible service and underwhelming food. Took them about 10 minutes to bring us menus even though the restaurant only had 3-4 other tables. Half the drinks on the menu weren't available and the waitress just brought us random drinks instead of what we ordered. The food itself was very small portions and underwhelming in flavour. For the price you pay you'd expect decent curry... I guess not. Easily the worst restaurant on this strip.

Dined for the first time here. It has ample seating. One of the restaurants you can go to for North Indian food and sweets. We ordered the Afghani chicken for starters, chola batura and chicken biryani for mains and a rose lassi. The starter was good but for the price they could serve 6 pieces instead of 4. The mint chutney tasted well. The chola batura was good 👍 The chicken biryani was sumptuous but not to our liking. The raitha was in the right consistency and taste.

What a rip off. I will never go to Billus again. Not even one thigh fillet of chicken in a butter chicken that I paid $18.50 for. All sauce and chopped chicken not enough for one serve. And the pera or milk sweet was mushy and grainy with sugar crystals. Disgusting.

Absolutely disgusted and angered by the portion size and taste of the "Special" Tawa Goat on display at Billu's compared to the price charged ($26!!!). This dish has been a favourite for my family ever since we ate at the restaurant - we purchased twice last week and once again today - only to come home and not get any good pieces and then be let down by the quality of the food. Can you believe this takeaway picture cost $26? Complete daylight robbery! For the same price you can almost feed the whole family! To then be greeted by this small portion size and awful taste? Are you kidding me? The staff member who took my order (Tanjot?) was not even approachable or friendly - and then to receive this awful dish made the experience even worse. ALSO I tried calling Billu's to advise them that their food has disappointed me and my family multiple times now, giving them a chance to explain themselves. The staff member who picked up the phone at 9:23PM on Sunday 7th November simply muttered "sorry" a few times and then mumbled something about "covid" and "changing of chefs who don't know the taste or correct portion sizes". There was NO offer of replacement (even after I mentioned this has happened multiple times recently) and NO offer of refund. They just said "sorry" and hung up the phone. I have never heard or seen such ridiculous behaviour from any restaurant. We pay hundreds of dollars to buy your food so if you cannot be bothered to acknowledge your mistakes or even try to fix them, why should I support your business? Do yourself a favour and buy dinner from somewhere else!

Fantastic Indian dining experience. Staff was lovely and genuinely wanted us to feel welcome and made sure we are enjoying the food. Very authentic as the whole neighbourhood is, great way to get close to India not leaving Sydney. Definitely will be back and recommending this place to everyone.

Service was good, food was fresh but not happy with the taste.
