Amazing little place with an interior design incorporating murals and portraits from Bollywood and some of its celebrities. Their Chinese bhel is an amazing oriental fusion with the good old American chopsuey. The chicken lollipops were crisp, crunchy and excellent as were the hakka noodles and Kungpao chicken fried rice. Overall a very pleasurable experience and great prices!
All the dishes we tried were amazing..!!
Loved both the grilled chicken dishes especially the one with cheese in it. Chicken tasted fresh and juicy. I'd have preferred the tandoori prawns without the food color though but the feedback was well received and uncle advised he would use turmeric instead the next time. The lady that served us was very professional. I'm looking forward to going back.
One of my favorite restaurants in Harris Park. Food taste is always good, quantity is more than enough, price is reasonable but one thing I don’t like is that I have to wait quite long to have my dish. Nomally I waited for 40minutes after order. Last time I ordered 1 entree and 3 mains. They should serve 3 main dishes at least similar time. But each main dish was served one by one with lo~ng time gap. When you are hungry don’t go to this restaurant you will get angry. I go before hungry because I already know. They need more kitchen staff.
Visited last night.... While everyone is gushing about their chicken lollipop (which was tasty b.t.w) you should definitely try their MAKHAMALI CHIKKEN TIKKA. It looked amazing, tasted even more amazing.. Veg Manchow soup was just fine, but very happy with the chicken dishes.
We wer there for dinner. The food was really good enjoyed it. We had vegetarian food. Ambience was pretty ok .quiet though ... overall it was satisfactory
Indo-Chinese is a must try here.
Liked the noodles and soup here.
Both veg and non veg options are available.
Taste is good.
Plan your order in advance as its take little longer to serve the food al. But it's fine to wait
Well hello best indo-chinese ever!!!! I can't stress enough that you have to eat their chicken lollypops!!!! It's just like the ones you get in Mumbai, atleast the closest!! Also, had their triple chicken schezwan rice which was good but their chicken lollypops were drool-worthy. Wouldn't mind going back and giving their other Indian dishes a try.
Finally found a good place For Indian and Indo Chinese food ..... never expected the food to be so tasty, flavourful just like we get back in Mumbai . Ambience is good staff is friendly food super yummy Naan was so fresh and soft , after two long years found a place for good Indian food. Definitely gonna visit next time.
Best place for dining! Great customer service!! Delicious food specially chickenlollipop👌 One of the best restaurant in Harris park. Highly recommended.
S Fried Rice are a speciality and to die for! Soya malabahar is another of my favourites.
A friend from Mumbai introduced me, and I have been here several times. Loved it each and every time.
Amazing food and service. They have Indian muglai and Chinese food. The chef makes everything taste great.
We ordered in appetizers, chicken lollipop and chicken makmali. The mains, chicken chandni chowk, chicken kadhia, chicken Manchurian and kangpao fried rice.
The portions were pretty big and all servers were friendly. Top notch Indian place.
Loved the food.the service was great and true to advice we probably ordered a little too much.
Missed the Indian Chinese but was so happy to find a new place that is super close to what it feels like eating Chinese in India.
The atmosphere is amazing. The waiter even volunteered to pack our take away,. different from the norm.
Missed the crispy Wontons or Momo's will be a perfect addition
Have been here a couple of times and every time the service and food are up to the mark. Friendly staff, great ambiance, and extraordinary dishes! What can one ask for?
My all-time fav is the Chk. Triple Szechuan fried rice. Full of flavors and decent quantity. Moreover, their starters are pretty good too! Chicken 65, Ginger Chicken(dry)(this one was recommended by the owner himself and man, it was worth it!)
The Mughlai dishes are a must try as well! Definitely visiting again! :)
So glad we tried out this place!
Its a cozy place in Harris Park. A mins walk from the train station.
Upon entering we greeted by the owners who seem pretty serious but are lovely people. :)
The menu is preety impressive and would make you wanna order everything but since the hungerpangs werent on high alert we stuck to the essential minimum for today. And ordered the main course directly. Since I am on a constant search for good indo chinese I can say gladly that I hit jackpot!!!! Tried chicken lollipop and loved it... perfectly crispy and good masala.. Paneer pepper was a good starter too. The outer coating was flavourful and crispy. The hakka noodles were the best I have had across sydney so far (as the search wont seize) and the chicken manchurian was spot on too!!! So hope and pray it remains the same.
Awesome quantity and quality!
The vegetarian biryani was good. Packed with flavour. Amazing pieces of veggies and paneer. Tried the stuffed kulcha it was good too. No accomplishments served with it. So its pretty dry eat just as is.
Cant wait to try out more stuff on the menu.
Service was good.
The food was simply amazing. We ordered Chinese bhel, mochow veg and non veg soup, dal makhani, kumb makhai paneer, butter naan and roti. Everything was good and mouthwatering. This place is worth a visit.
If you are a person who appreciates good flavours - this is a must visit. Bombay talkies is by far the most clean and well maintained restaurant I’ve visited in Harris Park. They have a menu that caters to the needs of people who have a great sense of flavour for food (from Bombay) and who love Indo Chinese cuisine(It took me a while to finalise what I wanted to eat). The service is great - no long waits for the food to arrive. Great cocktails to try! The food was flavoursome and very tasty❤️. With a max of 25$pp - this is surely an affordable restaurant for you.
Fantastic food & service!
We were a group of 7 who explored this new restaurant.
We were welcomed in to the restaurant & seated comfortably. The ambience is nice and inviting and the service is prompt, courteous and helpful.
The best part was of course the food! Both the vegetarian & non-vegetarian items that we ordered were rich in taste & flavour. Just perfect!
Will definitely recommend this restaurant!
It is a good find & it seems to be popular already.
Among the many indian restaurants in harris park area this seemed like another one just the name representing the city i come from. Initially they served indo chinese food and i was happy to try this too. But on a sunday evening when we walked in we were surprised to see such a variety in the menu with starters to mains in indian cuisine.
They have lovely decor very rustic but cool with photos in painting form of various bollywood actors. Loved the ambience very comfortable and nice. The space is pretty good with chairs and tables inside and sofas outside.
Coming to the food and drinks they have well quipped bar. We ordered kahrouga rum. Im not sure if i put the right name but it was pretty good along with coke. In red wine i ordered oyster bay as most of it was in bottles.
For mains we ordered the fish achari which had pickles and spices marinated fish served with mint chutney. It was very tasty. Lovely presentation and quality too.
For mains we ordered khumb makai paneer with garlic naan. It was again very delicious and exceeded our expectations. Only with the green chilles it was a bit spicy.
Service was a bit slow but was servers were very alert and attentive.
Pricing too is fine with alcohol. Would love to try other foodstuffs too.
Definitely a place recommended for all people who love indo chinese and indian food. Cheers🖒
$10 full tandoori on special at the moment!! I could not finish in one sitting and had leftover next day for lunch. Chicken was tender and really flavourful. Onions, lime and a pinch of masala on top took the presentation to another level! Most budget-friendly and tasty tandoori I have ever eaten!
Crispy fried veg chilli was extremely RED. I am pretty sure it is not the szechuan sauce but food color. I don't recommend it. Butter roti and Karahi paneer were very good. Kungpao fried rice too, had that authentic Indo-chinese flavor.
Have been here couple of times and it's been worth the money and time spent on getting here. Highly recommended for indo- Chinese food ... Awesome taste .. decent price and good quantity. Service is quick too.
Superb selection of Indian dishes that will suit most diners. Good serve size, excellent presentation, and flavoursome. Very pleasant decor, well spaced and spacious tables. Friendly service throughout. I just wish I lived closer so could dine here regularly. Good drinks selection.
Love the place, the staff is good and consistent in service. Hot & Sour with fresh coriander & Chicken 65 is worth a fight.
New Menu's Still the best in Harris Park by a Mile.
Great food and service right on the mark, the taste takes you back to Mumbai and brings back Mumbai Chinese feels.
We ordered
-Chicken lollipop which was almost similar to what you get in Mumbai , haven't found any other place serving this. A must have when you visit this place.
-Fish in Hot Garlic Sauce- the fish was cooked nicely and it blended in with the sauce it was served with
-Chilli Chicken- Our all time favorite and didn't disappoint at all.
-Veg Fried Rice- It was alright when had just by itself but when you mix it with the above 2 gravies then it took it the combination to the next level.
And they also had Bira and Haywards 5000 on their alcohol list which was very refreshing to see and have after a longtime and goes with the Mumbai Chinese Chilly flavors.
All in all a good experience
