Review Yo Chi - Hawthorn

Eunjung Lee
Today our family was having yo-chi in the big table and 4,5 teenagers came and pushing their empty yo-chi cups to us and saying rude things. As we were with kids, we were doing our best to ignore them not to scare our kids but it was hard. Then a young male staff came and politely but firmly escorted them out. We were so grateful. Yo-chi has been fantastic and it's been our favourite dessert place, now we love even more!

I love the yogurt here. It's better than other frozen yogurt shops. Good customer service.
Amanda Tennent
So good! The frozen yoghurt was delicious and there were so many different toppings to choose from. My son declared that we’ll be coming back regularly.

Yo-Chi is fantastic! I love self-serve desserts, so I’m really a fan of Yo-chi! If you’re looking for recycling ice cream companies, well, there’s one right in front of you! The spoons they sell at Yo-chi are even biodegradable!!!! They even have warm brownies and the room is very spacious. They have hand-sanitiser for you to use and I think they definitely deserve a 5/5 star rating!!!
Stav Mouzakis
Even though the yoghurt is cold the atmosphere with the customers and staff is warm. The toppings are plentiful and varied-my favourite is the balls of flavour that burst between your teeth and under your tongue. Tapioca makes me feel I am doing something good for my body .

Nice place, nice yogurt, happy teens and Tictoc around. Staffs very friendly too 😃 A Malaysian staff is very welcoming and showing us how to pick the flavours and toppings 🍧🍨 rate: $3sth per (1 cup ~ 2 flavours including toppings around $10)

Always delicious!!! Really good range of yogurts and toppings 🙌

Always amazing. Great selection for people with dietary requirements such as GF or Vegan. The vibes in the store are always very positive and the staff are super helpful and attentive if needed. One of my favourite dessert places!

I've been here 2 or 3 times to this place and it's one of the most spacious Yo-Chi branches in town.
They've got plenty of yoghurt choices and a brilliant set of toppings. I liked less vibrant yoghurt choices for their fillings to get through as the Berry like flavours can be slightly overpowering for some.
The cookie dough or anything with the word 'cookie' is a must try! The tip is to fill a bit of yoghurt than you think is enough as these cups can get very pricy.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a dessert spot around the area!

Staff were nice and friendly. Good variety of flavour and topping. Location is good as it is close to public transport and good amount of tables.

This was my first experience today at a frozen yoghurt bar and I was really surprised and impressed.
The staff member offered us samples so that we could decide and she was very helpful in explaining how it works.
I had the mango yoghurt, berry yoghurt with some strawberries. Both of them were full of flavour and tasted natural.
The thing that stood out the most was the ambience. It was clean, modern and quite busy as well.
I would definitely return if I'm in the mood for frozen yoghurt.

Can't go wrong with chocolate and vanilla frozen yoghurt. Good service. Spacious with plenty of seating. 👍

Easy going place to drop in for a frozen yoghurt - and self service means you can have as much or as little as you want. Just remember you are charged by the weight! I keep it simple - the traditional yoghurt along with the salter caramel. I used to love the green tea option but this seems to be no longer available. Add the organic halva and for less that $10, have the perfect dessert.

Yo-chi is a great place to go before the movies. What I like about Yo-chi is that you can put your own toppings on your frozen yoghurt. It is just a great place.
Foood4Dayzzz
Yo-Chi is a really nice place to go before or after a movie at Lido. My personal favorite flavor is the original yogurt, but I love all the toppings. The key is to go after the lightest toppings like chocolate soil or even hot caramel sauce. They change the flavors every so while, so don't get too attached to 1 flavor.

📍Location: 673 Glenferrie Rd,Hawthorn
🖼Ambience: Well organised and ample space for everyone. Its got a pink touch to the interior lighting which is kinda girly and nice.
👨🏻‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳Staffs : Friendly staffs who are ever ready to teach you how to use the yogurt counter.
🍦🧁Food: Now this is a place that is for yogurt lovers ! So you get from natural to flavoured yogurts with lots of option for toppings.
The yogurt counter is placed to the left of the store inside whereas the toppings are placed in the center of the store next to weighing and cash counters.
So we basically ordered two of the flavoured ones, one was signature Tart which tasted more like the Lassi flavoured if you know what is it. Its more of original flavoured with sugar taste in it thats it !
But i tried the Persian delight and was really awesome and my personal favourite! It has the taste of rosewater.
We could even try the other options and mix the flavoured yogurt if we need that way.
So i tried them all and most of them tasted exactly as the name suggests.
And there are variety of toppings according to what we like to add on these yogurt.
At last we need to weigh them and pay accordingly.
Easy :)
✅Overall: 4/5 rating! Please try them atleast once ! Its worth trying.

I grabbed a frozen yoghurt from here on the way home. I got the original flavoured yoghurt (my fave) and topped it up with strawberries, cornflakes and cookie and white chocolate crumble. I was a little disappointed that there weren’t more healthy choices for toppings. The only fruit that was on offer were strawberries and watermelon. The rest of the toppings were sweets of some form. I would love some granola and blueberries. My cup of yoghurt came to nearly $10 which is quite expensive but it tasted really good. The original yoghurt was smooth and tart and went well with the strawberries. The cornflakes and cookie crumble gave it a nice texture.
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
😱Lizzie’s first impression: a very big space to fits everyone - very impressed given it’s a frozen yoghurt place.

🍩Lizzie enjoyed: the frozen yoghurt is delicious especially the original flavour. It’s not too sweet and it has the perfect consistency.

🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: they don’t have many toppings and by the end of the night - they don’t top up even though there’s staff around.

🥇Lizzie rates overall: the best place I’ve had frozen yoghurt from - very good flavours and consistency of be yoghurt.

This place has a great range of frozen yoghurt and toppings! My favourites are the cookie dough and passion fruit burst balls. And great open atmosphere. Highly recommend Yo Chi!!
Eat_today_diet_tomorrow
Yochi is my favourite froyo place! They have so many flavours and toppings. They also let you to try the yoghurt before you choose the flavours too.

Recommend
- Salted butter scotch and mango mochi
Crabapples For Lunch
We were looking for some dessert in the area and this place was pretty packed at around 10pm on a Friday night. They had a staff member greeting people at the frozen yoghurt station and offering free samples. We tried a few flavours and quite surprisingly, we liked all of them. Even their basic yoghurt flavour (which I usually don't fancy) was quite nice. The coconut flavour also tasted good, the salted caramel was well balanced and the chocolate honeycomb was actually really rich.

We ended up dispensing some of the last 3 flavours, and when it came to the toppings I kind of went wild. They had so many of my favourite toppings, including mochi, cookie dough, strawberries, chocolate soil, crumble, Oreo, molten chocolate and even honey roasted cashews. They also had some of the 'healthier' toppings and I feel they have a really good variety of toppings that people really like, unlike some other fro-yo places that are full of 'healthy' or exotic toppings that people want to like but don't actually like. (Seriously, if you want a healthy dessert stop lying to yourself - you won't find it at a place like this.)

The only negative for me was that it ended up being more expensive than I hoped - just over $10 for ~300g. But really, many other places charge more than that for dessert, and you get to pick exactly what you want here. Service was also good even though it was busy. Definitely my new favourite fro-yo outlet chain.
Nomafoodic Chipineats
What can i say.. always a pleasant time at Yochi's! Favourite combinations are the salted butterscotch froyo, and the vanilla froyo, sprinkled with cornflakes, and a warm choc top, some honey drizzled. Yum. Refrain yourself from heading there everyday.
Shruti Taparia
I am a huge fan of frozen yogurt ever since forever but this place has outdated all of the other places.. it was the best yougurt I have ever had.. could choose from a variety of 6 7 yogurts which could be tasted and then add your choice of toppings..
The best part about this place is that you have to full your own bowl and the price is paid according to the weight of your bowl..
Taste - Excellent
Value for money - Good
Staff - Excellent
Ambeience - Very good

Lovely, spacious area to enjoy some frozen yoghurt. A good variety of yoghurt flavours. A large spread of topping choices too! Cookie dough was delicious however the mini donuts were very stale. Staff member who served me was lovely. Would definitely come back!!
Foodinfocusz
I eat yoghurt every morning so definitely a fan however there is next level … frozen yoghurt which I love even more! Not being a sweet tooth, preferring savoury, Yo-Chi yoghurt is perfect and I have the choice of toppings that also includes fresh fruit.
Cheesy.boys
Nice little frozen yogurt spot with a good selection of flavours and add ons/toppings. Personal favourite flavour being the salted butterscotch! They also stock bistro Morgan doughnuts and we highly recommend the cake batter flavour. Great texture and flavour but super sweet/rich.
Don’t be to heavy handed with your yogurt portion size because it doesn’t come cheap.

So disappointed as I normally love Yochi. The manager was really rude to my girlfriend when she asked if they had an ingredient out back. A simple no sorry we don't have it in at the moment would have been enough. Not sure what his name is but we won't be back
Joanne | Melbournecitay
Major fan of this place. The original yoghurt is slightly sweet and I wish it tasted more like how yoghurts usually taste. I really enjoyed the wide range of toppings (cornflakes! Orange! Blueberries! Strawberries! Dark choc sauce!) prices cost according to weight and mine was about $8 which is on for a post dinner snack!
Vivian
I Love frozen yoghurt but love sitting down and enjoying it with friends and the space here really provides that for me . There are a lot of toppings to choose from and also yoghurt flavours . Customer service is also very good
Vanessa
You can’t really go wrong with this place. A nice place to chill with friends or family. Just choose your own frozen yoghurt flavour(s) and then pick which toppings you like. Pay attention to how much you put into your cup (it may seem little but the prices add up pretty quickly).
Leila
THE BEST! As someone who was never a fan of frozen yogurt, Yo-Chi is a life changer. The hawthorn outlet is the only one I’ve been to, but it’s spacious and super chill, situated right next to my favorite cinema.
Lisa Giles
One of my favs! Large spacious area for getting dessert. Wonderful froyo, good quality and great flavours. Plus the mix ins are amazing, the new additions of warm chocolate cake and cookie dough is genius. The cookie dough they have is so good that we bought tubs of it to take home, it’s really tasty! A very popular dessert place on glenferrie road and it’s not hard to see why. Service also very welcoming and friendly most of the time.
Tinmans Treats
Decent fro yo place when you need a froyo fix. Enough flavors to keep you happy. Friendly service. Enough toppings at your disposal. Be careful because the weight of the frozen yogurt will shoot sky high if you're not careful. Considering its not as healthy as you think, you may opt for ice cream. Still worth visiting.
DineByNine
Very professional caucasian guy working here. Young, well presented, and knew his stuff. Multicultural staff which is great. Had a mix of flavors. Their tart was amazing. However my favorite was Chocolate and Honeycomb. Will definitely be back.....

God bless australia 😂😂 this yo chi is lit dude, like magical stuff put in your mouth.

Why we love it
Panda 🐼🐼🐼
Melt very slowly
Wide variety of taste and toppings
Pay per total weight so no such thing as overprice
Texture and taste is really really really amazing
Friendly staff
Spacious
Self serve! We loved coming here to Yo-Chi at Hawthorn! Even though it was a weeknight Glenferrie Road was still hustle and bustle and what more of a greater place to catch up over some froyo! We highly recommend the Signature Tart, Coconut, Mixed Berry and Mango! And why not spoil yourself with some added fudge, popping lychee pearls and we really loved the watermelon and mint combo! This Yo-Chi store is conveniently located near Glenferrie station (great for uni students) and is right next to Lido Cinema.

Very refreshing.
My favourite is the mango and vanilla.
The other flavours is abit too sweet for my pallate.

If you are not sure, just ask the staff to try some. You can try more than one if you wish.

Toppings sellection is not as many compared to my favourite froy from overseas. I wish they have more crunchy toppings selection.
Chocolate soil is my favourite.

Place is always busy. But normally they are no queue

I went here with a friend on Sunday, it was very hot and we were both craving frozen yogurt. The place we normally go to in Hawthorn has closed down 😭 so we decided to give yo-chi a try.

I decided to go for my normal favourites which are the original tart and the coconut yogurts. The original tart was delicious but the coconut flavour tasted weird and kinda fake. They had an excellent selection of toppings, I used heaps. In fact my topping to yogurt ratio was very heavy on the toppings hahaha. My favourite toppings were the caramel banana and the chocolate sauce that went hard like ice magic. My friend and I also enjoyed the strawberry mochi, although I thought the aftertaste was like a musk stick. In the end I tried the mango yogurt which was delicious but it would be too sweet with all the toppings.

The girl working here wasn’t the friendliest person I’ve ever met. Even though yo-chi is quite a big shop there was no toilet which was disappointing. She didn’t even bother to tell me where another toilet is but I wasn’t busting so I was fine. The frozen yogurt here is also quite expensive, mine ended up being more than $10 and there isn’t a sign saying how much it is per 100g. I would come back here if I was in the area.

Food: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Delicious flavours, well balanced fresh yoghurt that didn't leave us feeling bloated when we left. Mixed berry and coconut flavours are a must try.

Service: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Self service however staff were on hand to provide assistance if required.

Price: 🌟🌟🌟
A little pricier but worth it on a hot day like today (40°C).

LOVE this frozen yoghurt place. Lots of different toppings and flavour options. Staff are nice, lovely location. Additionally, I enjoy the CHI CLUB cards!

Spacious fro-yo parlour open late at night for a post-meal treat. Staff are friendly and there's a large range of toppings to suit anyone's preferences. Nice, but I still have my favourites that just can't compare for me. Large amount of room so it's still a viable option with a large group of friends.

Amazing frozen yogurt - I would say the best I’ve had in Melbourne if not ever.

Although they don’t have a huge flavour selection all their flavours are great. For newcomers, they’re also very helpful with their taste samples.

Great choice of toppings, especially the pepito. Very spacious and comfortable space. I definitely recommend!
Thefussyfoodie
I have a love-hate relationship with Yo Chi, when it has favors I like, I love it, but as the yogurt selections change so frequently there something is nothing I like. Also, toppings are a bit average and really sad that they have removed the mango mochi as a topping.
Followthefoodmelbourne
Great frozen yoghurt next to the cinema!
So many different yoghurt flavours to choose from and mix (my favourite was the coconut) and an abundance of delicious toppings! I went for strawberries, mm’s and choc chips but was very tempted by the sticky date pudding... next time!
Staff were also super friendly.
@twogoodtoresist
Yochi has such tasty yoghurt and the toppings are delicious- ranging from fresh fruit, compote to sweets and sauces. The hawthorn store is next door to the lido cinema and makes for a great movie snack!

A very spacious frozen yoghurt store in the heart of glenferrie. Clean, good customer service and lots of chairs
Was packed when we walked in, can't go wrong with a cold treat on a wintery night! Delicious moist chocolate cake and crumbly biscuits in your frozen yoghurt bowl! 😍

This place is good. My partner and I had some flavoured yoghurt and it was delicious.

Unfortunately for me all the flavours contain cane sugar but I still tried them all the same. We had chocolate, berry, peanut butter flavour, dark chocolate mint which was incredible. In fact we tried almost all the flavours. You can add your own toppings too.

The only drawback was the price. It cost $10.35 for a small cup of yoghurt. Wow!

But I guess if you were to buy a couple of ice creams it'd cost the same.

Overall this was a great experience and I'd be over the moon if they sold a sugar free version. You can also buy frozen t/a yoghurt which is much better value. But overall this place is definitely worth a visit.

LIT!: plenty of different toppings including hot brownies that usually aren't at your typical fro yo fix. The original tart flavour is definitely my favourite.

NOT SO LIT: the yoghurt bases were quite icy and less creamy than my normal thousand blessings routine.
Justin
Wasn't as creamy as we were expecting however the original tart one was very tasty. Really good service considering there was only one staff member on. He was really helpful. Ambience of the shop is also really good, great place to chill with your friends.

To say I am obsessed with frozen yogurt would be an understatement, I love Yo-Chi and is always my go to place for a cheeky dessert that won't make me feel too guilty! Staff are always lovely, the toppings are always fresh and delicious, my only critique is that there's never enough seating! But always my favourite go to place!
Been?Here
Beautiful big setup for a frozen yogurt bar nestled on Glenferrie Rd just nearby Coles.

Being wintertime, it may not be a crowd-puller but with kids in tow, this would be a great option to visit for a nice treat.

Modern and neat with lots of space to stand and many seats available. Our eyes just lit up seeing so many frozen yogurt flavours to choose from and a bar of over 20 interesting toppings including their homemade winter warmer desserts like choc yogurt mud cake and hot apple pie to build into your very own dessert recipe.

Noted all their frozen yogurts came out with a slight runny consistency perhaps due to dispensing too little amount each time as it might have been a while since it was last dispensed.

I liked their concept even though it commanded a premium to enjoy! It's one of those feel good places that's nice to indulge every once in a while with extra time and a bit more money to spare between or after meal times.

🌟🌟🌟✨Self Serve Yo-Chi masterpiece
Sylvia's POV
Frozen Yogurt is perfect for a warm day.
Yo-Chi offers a couple tasty flavours and selections of toppings to add as you desire.
Staff are very friendly and will ask if you would like to try a sample as soon as you walk in!

We love ourselves a good froyo and @iloveyochi sure fills that spot!! Pineapple and lime is amazing, loaded it up with all sorts and finished off with a cookie 😍😍 And for the fitness folk, they have the macros online 👌👍
Spirited Stardust
Easy to navigate with a nice layout & selection of toppings. I'm not really a frozen yoghurt fan but the kids love it. My kids are vegetarians so they loaded it with their own toppings but there are some vegan ones. The yoghurt was the vegan almond vanilla.
I also bought a vegan Ace miso caramel cookie which was delicious.

Yo chi is always the place to be! First time to this branch and was equally happy with the froyo, great toppings and service! Good location to be at and there was enough sitting for everyone
Charlie Daniels (Curious Charlie)
We love froyo (even if no actual yoghurt was harmed in the process) . At the standard $2.80 per 100g this cost $4.30.

I had the..

Coconut - In between creamy and icy

Original - Not lemony but like homemade yoghurt

Choc Honeycomb - Could really taste the honey, my favourite.

Pineapple - Yuck fake, taste articical.

Service was forced friendly.

Always come back even when in such a cold weather. I'm addicted with Yochi's yogurts and it's toppings . Friendly staff and reasonable price

My second visit to Yo-Chi was just as fruitful as the first and there’s a lot to like about the chain to get an inkling for more. I quite like their offering across the board and on this evening I tried the dark chocolate and coconut and was a totally winning flavour. The dark chocolate was surprisingly creamy for a frozen yoghurt format and the coconut was a wonderful and subtle addition.
Mo
This is the largest fro-yo place I have ever been in in my life! So much seating! Also, very mobility friendly, as the shopfront has a ramp as its entry- this was so unusual to me that I noticed it, and thought it a great touch.

I had the almond milk flavour and the chic honeycomb flavour. I liked the latter a lot, while the former had a strange texture that I wasn't into. I have had almond milk fro-yo elsewhere and loved it though, so something is off with the recipe here i guess?

There is a huge array of toppings, as well as more fro-yo flavours than I've seen at other stores, so they're doing alright in my book!
Ellen Chen
Coconut and original are my favourite.
Yo-chi has so many topping for you to choose.
They also selling the yogurt individual for taking home.
Can't imagine it is such a spacious space and everyone just pop up for yogurt!
Joanna Shaddai
After trying numerous froyo spots, I can say that this is by far the best one! Interior was very modern and the displays are aesthetically pleasing!

Yoghurt tasted awesome! It was the right mix of sweet and sour! Toppings are abundant.

Overall, love this!!
Jianierrrrrr
Maybe now it is still too cold for ice cream or frozen yogurt. But , who cares!
Yo-chi frozen yogurt is just next to the Lido cinema. Before watch a movie, grab some dessert would be nice.
The environment was quite funky with self serve station and topping section. Lots of spaces, chairs and tables to sit down and enjoy your frozen yogurt.
The staff were really friendly and always be there for help if u needed.
Grab a cup or waffle cone and start pumping the yummy frozen yogurt in! Ther are 10different flavors and you can have a taste before you actually buy anything, that was really nice~
We ended up with two flavors, coconut and chocolate ,in a small cup( not small at all, but need space for all toppings). Then we moved on to the topping section, there were so many toppings that you can choose, from fresh fruit to hot sauces on top...so just get what you like, easy!
The price of the frozen yogurt was decided by weight including topping. We paid around $6 for two flavors and 4,5 toppings...and shared between two. It was not bad at all.
The store also offer dessert menu, the yogurt dessert that completed by staff and looks very fancy. I am gonna try it next time for sure.
The frozen yogurt was smooth, cold, flavorful but maybe a little bit too sweet for me. Overall Yo chi is a pretty relax place for a nice cold dessert other than ice cream.
Brillat_Savarin
Nice interiors, relatively friendly staff (bit of attitude sometimes from young staff) and always busy. The plain frozen yoghurt is our fav (boring I know but is great) but find the other favors as well as the toppings a bit sweet. Prefer thousand blessings to be honest....
Claudia Halim
Cozy place to enjoy lovely frozen yogurt. They provide flavor that everyone can enjoy including gluten free and dairy free! Many toppings to enjoy your yogurt with!
Melbourne Glutton
The latest Winter menu includes warm treats such as brownies, stick date pudding and egg waffles. Make sure you head over to check them out before the season is over.

Perfect for every day of the year! I always go for an after dinner treat or a stand alone dessert trip. I go for the coconut frozen yoghurt and top it with berries, dark chocolate, some coconut flakes and finish with a peanut choc hot sauce. My whole dessert is vegan friendly, just not summer body friendly. Sigh. Can't win them all.

But seriously, for anyone who is lactose intolerant or vegan, Yo-chi really does cater and your not short on options. Also, the interior is pretty nice too, large open space with plenty of seating for those busy summer nights. Ahh yo-chi!
Hannah Mack
Frozen Yogurt! Hello my little late night craving 😍

I LOVE THIS IDEA & I think everyone else does also because wow the frozen yogurt trend kicked off. BUT SERIOUSLY WHATS NOT TO LOVE?

A delicious blend of frozen yogurt of your choice topped with a whole bunch of goodies from sweets to savoury and to delicious fresh fruits.

I have tried a few frozen yogurt places in my time and this one has to be one of my favourites. The frozen yogurt doesn't taste 'artificial' or overly sweet. It truly maintains its yogurt taste (I've had a few that are more sorbet) and they have a great selection of toppings.

Definitely check this bad boy out if you're in the area and wanting to top your night off with a kick of sweetness! ✔️✔️

There have been a lot of frozen yogurt stores opening around Melbourne lately and one of the more popular ones is Yo-Chi Frozen Yogurt. Yo-Chi is great place to relax and meet people with a laid back atmosphere over frozen yogurt.
Casualfoodie
Love the array of vegan topping options but would be amazing if considering there is a coconut flavour dairy free option if other options used other forms of milk such as almond. It's hard to mask the coconut flavour and the almond milk options I have tasted at such places like Frozen are amazing! Just some food for thought :) the girls are always friendly when I have come in, offering generous samples to try.
Shabana
Love this place! Great range of flavours and toppings 😋.
Harmony
Lovely Frozen Yogurt flavours and Great range of Self-serve toppings (I adored their mini Strawberry Mochi Squares). Perfect way to end after a heavy meal. 100% craving satisfied if you're sweet tooth like myself ❤!!
Spunk_a_rooney
Great self serve frozen yogurt. Delicious flavours. My favourite is the butterscotch, so good. Best toppings. Really love the crumble, granita mix. Lots of space to sit.
Luke And Hannah
Delish yogurt with a variety of toppings, which were all great. We tried the chocolate, salted butterscotch, and tart which were all tasty. The butterscotch was actually our favorite and is their most popular flavour. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was spacious and clean as well.

Love yo chi!
Love the new flavor Persian delight
Staff always friendly
Free samples and lots of choices to customize your yogurt whether you want sweet or fruity
Always a good vibe :)
Chisyelda Oey
My favourite place for frozen yogurt since it's pretty close to my apartment. It's quite spacious with a nice design. My usual is the original with chocolate and salted butterscotch, they're just so great together! If you want something less sweet and with more zing, the green apple mixed with lemon iced tea is also very nice and fresh. Staff is always friendly and helpful... even when you're asking for free yogurt samples like a madman :)
Melbournefoodieee
Great local joint to get frozen yogurt! Everything was fresh and there's a great variety
Really cool, spacious space to hang out for dessert! I really like the wooden theme they've got going on. They give out mini tester cups if you're lucky and look a bit overwhelmed. In the picture I've got passionfruit, green apple and salted butterscotch froyo with the pomegranate popping boba, strawberries and the mango mochi. This came up to about $5.50. I also tried the chocolate, the signature tart and the mixed berries flavors. The only flavor I liked was passionfruit as I found the other flavors were too subtle! However, some said the lemon iced tea flavor is pretty good and actually tastes like tea! The pomegranate bobas were my favourite and the mochi was super soft. I'll definitely give this place another go if the chance arises but I wouldn't say I've found a Yo-Chi froyo favour that is to die for!

Obsessed with this place! I live about half an hour away but it's well worth the drive! Great location and nice service! It's not overly sweet either.

Came here every week for a few months, really awesome setup and vibe. Yoghurt is delicious and you pay for what you get :D

No complaints.
+other people there tend to be super friendly

The whole family loves this place as the best and easiest desert aster dinner or lunch. Have tried other frozen yoghurt places and this rates high.

Glenferrie Rd is a great place for it;)

What's not to love about this frozen yogurt place? It is spacious inside with nice woody decor. Most of the time, the yogurt flavours are nice. Toppings are great, and staffs are nice.

UPDATE 02/11/2017
Still cool, consistent and about $9.00 plus for a small ..... Original Tart & Choc ...

PREVIOUS
Yoghurt wasn't cool when I was a teenager

This place knows how to make Yoghurt saleable and cool.
First they tell you that you need a Yoghurt a day to be healthy, seriously who doesn't want to be healthy; getting cool.
Then they created "damn-nice" different flavours to these boring Yoghurt, nearly cool.
You add more toppings to individualised your Yoghurt, so cool, Yoghurt to my liking.
Lastly, enjoy them in a Communal table with your other cool Yoghurt-er ....

What not so cool are the pricing .... very hard to get away from there not spending at least $8 a cup.

Love their business pitch and product, well done!
Peter F
One of the better frozen yogurts in Melbourne. Lots of flavours and plenty of 'toppings'. I'm not sure how healthy this is as I tend to pile on the M&Ms.
Jessica Lam
Great place, the decor and music resembles a pub, which is really interesting and it can feel like a night out. The price is very reasonable and you are charged by size so you can put as many types of toppings as you want. Service is great, you get to try the flavours before you make a decision. It's not hard to see how this place has become the most popular dessert place around Glenferrie.
Anna Jacobs
bsolutely amazing yoghurt, fresh and beautiful toppings and fruit, flavors are the best of the best. Not much yummy sweets to put on your yogurt. It would be great if they had wafer bars/oreos/tim tams as this would bring more customers. Staff are a bit un-friendly although kids love it there
Lachlan Chan
This yogurt sucks. Ice cream and gelato are way better. It's cold but it just isn't creamy and fulfilling. It was way too expensive as well. Hopeless
Chelly Rae Rae
Yo Chi is delicious! I'm a regular here as its so good but lactose intolerant so it would be great to have more than two vegan options, or to rotate more often. A bit pricey for a cup of yoghurt though, nonetheless I'm addicted!
Choc Pudding
The place is spacious and very modern. The flavours of the yogurt are quite different from other froyo places. I love their original tart,it tastes like cheesecake! I tried their chocolate jaffa and although I can't taste any hint of orange, but it was very rich and dark chocolate. It was good but unsure whether it would overwhelm other flavours that are milder. I tried their lime and avocado which I hate. The salted butterscotch was too salty for me

Definitely one of the better frozen yoghurt chains in aus. Almost comparable to America. Tried the berry and plain yoghurt flavours and was pleasantly surprised. Great fresh toppings too-especially roasted coconuts and crumble. Will be back!

Good cheap late night dessert. Nothing special. Full of swinburne students. Not a bad place if you are looking for something sweet after a dinner in the hawthorn region.

My favourite place!! So consistent, never disappoints!! Favourite flavours are salted caramel, mixed berry and passionfruit (usually only a summer flavour)

Always been my favourite place for frozen yoghurt. I wouldn't even bother trying anywhere else..... no where compares. Self service is the best part of the experience! They have a few delicious staple flavours but everyone month or so they have new flavours pop up for something new to try. PERFECT in summer!

Compared to other fro yo greats like Ilya and Frozen by a Thousand Blessings, I found the yogurt itself at Yo-chi fairly average. The flavours itself are a touch off, particularly the dark chocolate coconut, that is also far too runny. The toppings are fabulous, but given that the yogurt itself is not the best and the staff are icy, I won't be returning.

A huge froyo place. The chai flavour is divine. Not sure about other flavours -coconut had overpowering sourness, and dark chocolate tastes like play dough.
Toppings: home made sticky date pudding went very well with chai but mochi was all dry and hard.

Amazing frozen yogurt and such a range of flavours and toppings to choose from. It's Australian owned and proudly states that their yogurt is all natural and 98% fat free. The store in Hawthorn is very spacious and the decor is furnished very nicely with that modern feel. It's very warm inside from a range of different neon and bulb lights and there is a huge community table where you can sit down to enjoy your yogurt or you can sit at one of the small tables and chairs scattered around.

For those who don't know how Yo-Chi works, you basically self serve and choose the yogurt flavour and the toppings you want. At the cashier your cup gets weighed and priced based on the weight. Today I chose the lemon cream cheese torte yogurt with raspberry coulis, kiwi, strawberries and pineapple pieces. The yogurt was so delish! Had the perfect creaminess and citrus flavour to it and went really well with the fruit. Staff are also very friendly and happy to help. The cinemas are right next door so always good to pop in and enjoy some yogurt if you're early and you have some time to kill. Or you can even pop by after the movie, they're open until 11pm everyday!

Good froyo that opens till late. Absolutely love the salted peanut butter! And they have chocolate brownies as toppings too! They are so generous with their samples you can be full from them :p
The Cravings Never Stop.
If you have been noticing, frozen yogurt (froyo) has been popping all over Melbourne. In particular, Yo-chi has started invading multiple suburbs. This now includes Hawthorn! But what are they like?. The Hawthorn branch’s design has stuck to the status quo and has kept by the minimal design found throughout the other franchises. Simple wooden stools and tables, neon signs, naked brick walls, and obviously a massive allocated areas to showcase their products. Either way, this typical design is always a welcoming sign.

Delicious. In lieu of not having a gelato messina in Hawthorn Yochi is my preferred destination for a sweet treat after dinner, staff are always friendly and the yoghurt always delicious and fresh and I think the best value for money froyo in town , keep up the good work guys.

Yo-chi (qi) a "life force" to be reckoned with!. If you have not been to any of the yo-chi stores, you simply must go! It is not only delicious but is also impeccably styled and environmentally conscious. Every store has a different feel that compliments the surrounding suburb and it is a nice change from the average ice creamery (maybe a little healthier too? Yogurt is good for gut health right?).

It is also self-serve with an amazing toppings bar that works similarly to kilo restaurants in Brazil where you weigh what you eat. FUN!!! The Persian Delight (turkish delight flavour) is to die for! They also have a great rewards system, which is awesome for regulars like me and my boyfriend. So far I've been to the Balaclava, Yarraville and Carlton stores. Will definitely check out Hawthorn when ever I'm in the area!

With an eye for quality design and product you can't go wrong here! Enjoy.

In the end we got a mix of the Salted Peanut Butter and Chocolate Hazelnut, topped with Green Apple Pearls, Mango Mochi, and Crumble. At $2.9/100g, our pretty generous serve of yoghurt came to a very reasonable $5.9. The salted peanut butter was sinfully good, rich, smooth, and tasting of roasted nuts. On the other hand, the chocolate hazelnut was icy and refreshing, and way too good considering that it was vegan.

Yo-chi does frozen yoghurt like no other!. From the super stylish fit out, to the friendly staff and diverse flavours/toppings. This is by FAR my favourite frozen outlet in Melbourne. The hour journey to check out their new establishment in Hawthorn was well worth the trip. We certainly weren't disappointed. The level of quality in every aspect of this place is incredible, we are huge fans!

I can't wait to go check out their recently opened store in Yarraville!

I am an avid froyo fan but do not rate Yo Chi. I was excited to hear that Glenferrie Rd was getting its very own Yo Chi and rushed in to sample it, but overall was let down. The coconut was fake tasting and the plain wasn't as tart as I like. Overall it was disappointing and with so many froyo shops on Glenferrie I won't be back.

Extensive range of toppings & smoothies. The shop is inviting with good arrangement of sitting areas. There are 8 seasonal flavours of yoghurt with 2 dairy free including almond milk and coconut milk. There is an extensive range of toppings. Love the options of stewed apple, raspberry coulis, stewed rhubarb and watermelon with shredded mint leaves. Interesting ranges of smoothies with healthy choices including acai and green tea. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They offered my friends and I to sample different flavours of yoghurt before purchase. I liked the Persian delight with rose water, salted butterscotch and coconut. It would be great if the pomegranate and passion fruit flavours are available too.
