Good coffee, friendly staff, not too crowded during the week.

Without a doubt the best cafe I've ever been to. Consistantly perfect coffee, some of the nicest staff I've ever had the pleasure meeting. Price is about average for melbourne ($4.50 Large) but the quality is more than worth the price. They also have several kinds of alternative milk for those who can't have regular milk.

Best coffee and service around Glenferrie! Also has a wonderful range of snacks & Cafe food, can't beat their toasties! Baristas are next level friendly and super considerate of dietary restrictions.

I’ve been looking for a great coffee paired with good food and awesome service on Glenferrie...And I have found it! Oscar Mike is by far the best. I ordered cappuccino with ham and cheese toastie...can I just say it was by far the best I’ve had! The price is also very reasonable at $6.80 for both : )

This place was super busy and had really friendly staff. I felt like I got forgotten and had to approach the counter, but once I did this I got my order straight away! Seemed like they had a lot of customers coming through and collecting orders so clearly a local favourite. Their piping hot toasties are conveniently priced ($3.90) and make a good breakfast snack.

Great cafe and if I caught the train everyday to work, I would be here every morning. Probably the best coffee in Hawthorn (yes, even when you include Axil). Past that, you get a good array of light snacks and sweets to get you through the day. But let's face it, it's really about the coffee, which again is top notch.

Great coffee and toasties to start the day when I don't wake up early enough to have breakfast at home! Friendly service too; definitely my favourite coffee shop in Hawthorn.

This unassuming little cafe not far from Hawthorn station is an absolute gem. It's actually quite roomy at the back, although most people walking past would be grabbing takeaways before they catch their trains. I found a comfy table in the back and found it to be a lovely space with a relaxed vibe.<br/><br/>The staff were really nice and my coffee and caramel slice arrived quickly. Everything was delicious and I felt comfortable enough to sit for a while and enjoy the surrounds. It's really busy out front, but was quite peaceful out the back. There were a few other patrons dining in, but it was still quiet and relaxed. Now that I know that Oscar Mike has this lovely space, I will certainly be back.

Great ambience, even better coffee that is created with diligence. The menu is simple but well executed on every occasion. One of the picks in the Hawthorn area.

Perfectly positioned to capture the folks on their early morning commute Oscar Mike is located down the laneway towards entrance on the citybound platform of Glenferrie station. They tempted me with their sandwich board special of a toasting and a coffee for $6.80. This cafe has a few outdoor seats but being closer to noon I wanted out of the sun for a bit so opted to go inside down back. I was actually surprised how many seats were out back as it almost looks like a hole in the wall style cafe from the front.<br/><br/>Coffee was the best I’d had in days and noted 5 senses coffee is their house blend... but other blends are available (whoop whoop). <br/><br/>I enjoyed my late morning pick me up... set me up to battle the crazy Christmas shoppers down the strip.

usually love this place, staff are really good but my coffee had an off aftertaste and I couldn't drink it :( Will still return however I find the coffee a bit hit & miss

A great place for coffee and an artichoke roti wrap to die for. Oscar Mike has been my go-to place for coffee in the morning. The skip app makes coffee collection quick and easy, especially when you're rushing for time. It's a pity they don't do food pickup as well. Also it can get a little cramped in-store during peak times. Would definitely recommend to those who need a caffeine hit without too long a wait.

Popular spot for great coffee next to the Glenferrie train station. <br/>Staff were really friendly and they offered inside/outside seating for customers. <br/>They have different coffee beans and house blend from time to time. If you are in doubt, the staff can be helpful. Magic, Piccolo are also available to order. You can find simple pastry, sandwiches at the store too.<br/>My raspberry and white chocolate muffin was really fluffy and not too sweet, perfect companion for my cappuccino. Warmed banana bread with butter was a good choice too~<br/>

Hands down one of the best coffee's in Melbourne. I love my latte but I find a lot of coffee shops can get it wrong in terms of consistency. The latte in Oscar Mike is a perfect mix; the milk does not dilute the taste of the fresh coffee beans, making for a silk smooth drink without losing the strength and taste of the beans. Although a little more expensive and a smaller portion compared to others, I keep finding myself going back.

The coffee is no better than the other 3 places nearby and the service is slow. Expect to miss your train.

I ate a sandwich and drank a hot chocolate here recently. I spent about $12 total. The sandwich was pumpkin with some kind of cheese (I didn't read what it was, I just chose it cos it looked good). It was then toasted, and delivered to me as I sat in the back. The hot chocolate was not particularly hot. I'm not even sure it could be considered lukewarm, but it was the sugar hit I needed at the time. The venue is very small and intimate, and when I was there I could very clearly hear a personal conversation the staff were having, so I felt a little awkward. Maybe next time I should sit outside!

A quick coffee and sandwich at the speciality coffee outlet down one of the Glenferrie station access laneways. Compact, welcoming - excellent coffee (strong!) and only $3.20 (took me by surprise) and fresh, tasty sandwich. Simple menu - sandwiches, toasties, couple of salads and pastries. They've got it right - keep everything simple - whether it be the uncluttered interior or found object style seating outside.

If you are looking for an authentic italian style cafe then you must give Oscar Mike is a try! They have Awesome coffee! Great vibe and high quality customer service!

Hands down one of the best in the Hawthorn area and it feels homey. They actually give you your coffee rather than placing it on a counter to pick up. Strong eye-contact, them brief hand touches and bloody good coffee. 👌🏽

Another great coffee place at Glenferrie. One of the best. They also have a good selection of snacks and salads. Portions are a little bit small for their prices. Besides their coffees, I would suggest trying out their green tea noodle salad.

I was recommended a "magic size" soy cappuccino (which comes in a 3-inch tall cup) with the Costa Rica La Trinidad beans.This version is particularly stronger than a usual cup of soy cappuccino because of its size. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't done to be like a dry cappuccino. I would describe this as "small and strong".

my skinny magic arrived intense and punchy, with the expected dark cocoa flavours. Food is simple and I had no complaints about my ham and cheese toastie

Best coffee in Hawthorn. We go there every morning for coffee, if you're looking for breakfast as well, ask for the toasties.

I'm re-reviewing from a high rating, as I feel the coffee is missing the mark these days (depending on the barrister). Staff regularly muck up a simple toastie order and I must pull it apart each time I leave to ensure its my order. It's disappointing, as I used to love it here. With so much competition in the area, I think they need to pick up their game and smile a little more :D

Coffee is good however staff are disorganised. Ordered myself a coffee and tea for my friend, it was busy but not overly busy. My friend and I stood there for minutes before a guy asked who had a skinny late. Then they completely forgot about the tea, the staff were just standing there looking at us like we were stupid and didn't even ask if we were waiting for something when we clearly were. Ended up being in a rush and walking off. Very disorganised.

Awesome, no complaints. I work near Oscar Mike and go in whenever time and budget allows. As a retired hospitality professional I tend to pick holes in any where I go... but this place is fantastic, difficult to fault. Service is awesome, price/quality is great. I like that they have guest coffee roasts for days when I'm feeling a little more adventurous. Their house roast is super nice and on the neutral side, but that's coming from a coffee aficionado. Love the $6 coffee and mushroom cheese toastie.

Coffee. Great guys, really friendly. Reasonably priced and the cafe its self looks great. <br/>That's killer late art too however I think the only thing that lets them down is the coffee they use. It has a bit of an odd flavor to it that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe that's just me being fussy.<br/><br/>Great job guys!

Great coffee shop. I like Oscar Mike's for the great coffee they serve. Personally I like coffee to taste like coffee, rather than flavoured milk, and somehow they always achieve that. Plus, this is a pleasant place to come to. The team come across as working well together and that probably helps create the pleasant environment. The music they play is not too bad either. Can't complain about the toasties either.

Perfect. You guys actually rule. I'm a barista myself, and stupidly picky with my coffee (we use St. Ali) but when I'm at uni, I won't go anywhere else. Top marks guys, always a pleasure!

Rich, Aromatic, Steamy. This little place has fast become my daily addiction! Consistently great coffee, efficient service and a great selection of food. But it's all about the COFFEE - most days it's the only thing that gets me through class :0 haha

GOLD. Normally visit Axil roasters on Burwood road and found this gem as i walked to Axil. I had the dark house blend in a latte and it was simply delightful. Perfectly pulled espresso and velvety riverina milk. Just when you thought we had too many specialty coffee shops in Melbourne!

Not very impressed. I have stopped by here a couple of times on my way to work in the morning and both times I have been very dissapointed. I don't understand what coffee the reviewers below me have tasted.... must be the owners friends and family because no one could think this place makes good coffee.<br/>The first time I had an espresso which tasted overextracted and the second time my latte was under-extracted - exactly like warm milk with a bit of milo. Not very consistent. It was as though it was the first time the barista had worked in a cafe.<br/>I wouldn't reccommend this place for anyone that likes coffee that tastes like coffee. If you like warm milk or mud for an espresso this is the place for you.

Nice little cafe, stopped here yesterday for a coffee and snack (roti wrap-satay chicken) delicious, with 5 senses coffee and a beaut synesso machine I thought I might be in for a great coffee and i wasnt disappointed! the coffee was liquid gold! I'll be back next time I'm nearby!

Quaint, cute, well worth trying. Amazing coffee, I always go to Liar Liar for my morning coffee before work but think I've been converted. Really chill comfortable vibe, with a guitar in the corner which I've been eyeing for a while...definitely best coffee on glenferrie rd (including Liar Liar and Axill).

Next big thing. Heard about this new little cafe from one of my friends on Facebook and decided to head their today during a break in my classes. This quaint place located right outside glenferrie station has great tasting coffee at an absolute bargain. Cavin, the owner of this establishment, entertained some of my questions about his coffee brews (he has a mouth watering columbian blend) and explained other little niche things about coffee.<br/><br/>All in all, a terrific new establishment with a friendly, chill vibe where you can go for a catch-up during breaks. I went there for a latte today and will definitely be back next week to try a macchiato!<br/><br/>Thumbs up from me!

Must try. This new coffee place rates up there with the best coffee shops in glenferrie AND it comes at a reasonable price.<br/>definitely my new go to place to grab a coffee on my way to station in the mornings.
