I wanted to try this place for a long time and I finally got a chance to go to HumBurger and it was a nice experience. It looks like a small restaurant from outside but there is more to this place when you go inside. The restaurant is located on Glenferrie road and is very easy to get to. There is a room next to the entrance where you can sit on a big table or there is a laneway going to the back of the restaurant where you will find more seating. The menu was very small which I liked. There are six burgers in the menu and all named after different cities and each burger has an element that resembles the flavor of that city. I ordered a Melbourninan ($11.5) and a Saigon ($10) with Fries ($4) and Herb Hollandaise ($2).
Very yummy Tokyo Vegetarian burger. Every time I have come here they have delivered. Service is friendly as well. Highly recommended.
Melbournian burger will always be my favourite. Perfect beef patty with red onions, lettuce, mustard, and not too much mayo & ketchup in it. The chef always makes sure you're okay with the food or comfortable with it and the chef is also extremely polite. Menu's simple and easy to understand, so I'd definitely come back here whenever it's a burger day for me.
It’s Friday night after a long, tiring week. We go in search for a quick but tasty bite. Humburger did not disappoint. It ain’t no palace, but there’s enough spots to seat oneself before diving into these well-prepared burgers married with golden fries. There are pre-crafted burgers or the customer is welcomed to design their own with their favourite additions (caramelised onions are mine!) Some onion rings wouldn’t have gone amiss but no complaints besides that!
I have visited at least 100 burger joints here and around the world – I can sincerely say that Humburger ranks in the top 3. The first and most important characteristic: they're consistent. I have come over the space of 4 years, and they have been excellent each time.
They take their time and make everything fresh. Every flavour is carefully considered and measured – nothing is extraneous. Most importantly, the star of the show – the beef patty – is not overcooked or bland – on the contrary, in fact.
My personal favourite is the unique Frenchie burger, but I have loved everything I've tried. The cherry on top? How affordable, yet generous their menu is.
Have not dined in, but have order off UberEATS twice since discovering it last week. The burgers from Humburger are delicious! They come on a nice, seeded bun and the patties and fillings are plentiful. Each time I've ordered the fries, they've been different, so I'm not sure what the normal fries are. Definitely order the double patty with the caremelised onion - they're delicious. The chocolate milkshakes taste nice, but are a wee bit small for $7.
I always order the New York burger and especially love the yak sauce in it. Ambience is a little creative and quirky with paintings on the wall.
Took a friend here for lunch and enjoyed it! We ordered the Hum each and customised them, ordered fries and drinks. Tempted to try the shakes but 1. Wasnt sure if I could fit it in with the burger (hadn't been here before) 2. It was a very cold day (maybe next time). Back to the food the burgers were delicious, patty was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and seasoned well. Will definitely be back. Great friendly staff too.
A good quality simple burger! We sampled the Melbournian which had really nice flavours only thing missing was cheese, which we didn’t actually notice until it came out. Our mistakes not theirs!
The menu wasn’t as extensive as most other burger restaurants out there but if you can appreciate simplicity then it’s worth hitting.
I never understood what people meant by a juicy burger until I ate at Humburger. Now let me declare that all 4 times I have been there, I have been stone cold sober. Sure, many burger places taste great after a few drinks, but the burgers here are delicious - fresh. The chips are neither here nor there and the shakes are okay but you go for the main thing - the burger.
Had the ‘Melbournian’ which is a beef burger with spicy mayo and jalapenos on top of the patty and lettuce, tomato, onion and chunky garden mayo on the bottom.
The burger was flavour packed; the spicy mayo and jalapenos together provided a mildly spicy savouriness while the garden mayo was herby and garlicky. The bun was toasted and wasn’t dense, and the salad was fresh and nicely portioned on the burger. The beef patty was not completely minced; it had small chunky bits of beef, pinkish inside and a little chewy but not tough; almost felt like eating a piece of steak. The texture of the patty was unexpected but not bad at all, very meaty and tasty.
Overall the burger was decent; the bun was nicely toasted, salad was fresh and the steak-like beef patty was meaty and well seasoned. The two different types of mayo blended well and gave a very flavourful savouriness to the burger.
Burger was delicious, food was quick, staff super friendly. Only downside is its small with limited seating, good for a quick weekday dinner.
Melbournian Burger was delicious but definitely on the greasy side. Salted caramel shake was A++++. For the price you pay, Humburger is fantastic would recommend.
Nicely lit, calm burger joint with a great inside. The menu has quite a lot to choose from in terms of burgers and shakes. The burgers are made with great ingredients and was quite flavorsome. They are on the sloppy side however!
10/10 🍔😍 Phenomenal burgers, very quick service, highly recommend! Met and exceeded expectation. (Also very reasonably priced which is extra exciting)
Delivery through Uber Eats. Had the veg burger, food was hot, fresh and amazing. Wasn't bland or soggy like a lot of veg burgers, salad was fresh and crisp, just enough sauce! Fries were amazing as usual. Good value for money thanks guys!
Sneakers – On Saturday night we drove out to Humburger in Hawthorn for some takeaway burgers. I ordered the Hum Burger with rosti, tomato, bacon and pickle and it was a tasty burger. The burger patty was well seasoned and well cooked. The burger bun was very fresh and soft; the potato rosti was rather thin and struggled to maintain any crispiness, and the bacon wasn’t particularly crispy so overall making for a mono-textured experience. I also tried Cassidy’s Vanilla Malt shake and I can’t say I was overly impressed. It was a decent size with a decent consistency but it severely lacked flavour. If I was in the area I would likely stop by again.
Cassidy – I got the Frenchy Burger and a Vanilla Malt shake. I loved the shake, I thought it was heavy on the malt which was super tasty. The burger started off strong with crispy rosti and a decent serving of the very tasty hollandaise/mayo, but further in the rosti was just smushy and I couldn’t taste the sauces anymore. If/when we go again, I’d likely build my own burger and keep the rosti out.

Humburger is open late, making it a great option if you're looking for a late dinner. The burgers didn't impress me too much- the buns were flavourless and oily; the potato cakes inside the burger were dry and flat. The burgers weren't served with enough sauce to make up for this dryness. The fries were quite nice, but nothing spectacular.
We revisited @humburgermelb after just about a year in between experiences. Honestly last time wasn't flash. Improvement have been made though!! The beef was the biggest issue and this time it was cooked well but ever juicy and the cheese melt amazing, they lifted. Tried to keep it simple, added some grilled chicken to be healthy and was succulent. Loving the pickles they use. The bun is nice, can be overwhelming and beware at your own peril if you load up. We modded the disco fries and took then next level. Quite happy walking away from @humburgermelb 8.9/10

Been a long time between visits of Humburger and from memory I really enjoyed it so decided to give it another go since I was in the area again. I ordered the New York which is essentially a double bacon cheeseburger. Cheese melted so perfectly and the beef was juicy and a little oily (which I like). Also they put a couple of pickles on top which is neat and breaks up the flavours mid burger. So juicy. Definitely would recommend! I wish I ordered a shake but my waistline said no.
Definitely my favourite burger place in Melb. Meat always cooked perfect and everything goes together so well. Only let down is the chips, need to upgrade to thick cut!!
really great vietnamese style burger - only tip would be to have a sturdier bun, as the brioche soaked through quite quickly. otherwise, fantastic
Cute little establishment with a courtyard out the back, my burger was fresh and tasty extremely satisfying with a cider to finish off my meal.
Another place kicking ass when it comes to making burgers. I got the "New York" burger and it was mad. All the interdependent were high quality and super fresh, The bun suited the burger and did not fall apart or get soggy.
The meat patties were nice and thick and this placed cooked them perfect. Not dry and not under cooked at all!
Table set up is good, Nicely spaced out. Does not feel like they are just trying to jam as many people in as they can. its a nice joint to step into to enjoy a good burger and relax a bit
Burgers are excellent. However, the size of their fries is a big disappointment. Cmon humburger - lift your game! Don't be so stingy. They could also consider a meal deal option or family option.
The buns were nicely toasted and were a soft brioche variety with sesame seeds on top. Tastes as good as they look!. The cheese within the New York was flavourful and was applied liberally. While this made for a messy burger, it was definitely delicious and was the highlight of the burger. Bacon within both burgers were nicely fried to just crispy and were a decent size.
Overall a half decent burger that was held together by great cheese, bun, and bacon. All other components were kind of a let down however.
Today I tried the hum burger ....
First thing.. TAKE CASH 🤑WITH U .. Min eftpos 20$
Parking was little bit harder on glen ferrie road ...
Coming to burger .. We tried Saigon chicken burger
bun was soft ,fresh , brioche bun.. And it is having chicken patty , carrot and cucumber ...carrot and cucumber may be in sugar water .. They are so sweet while eating the burger ..with out chips I can't finish the burger ... Chips was good , fresh . Having some seasoning . I feel the seasoning was na ndos Peri peri salt mixed with little paprika.. May be I eat McDonald's instead of coming there ... May be I want be back
Good burgers. Had the frenchy and the new yorker and both were really nice. A bit of a let down (would have given 4 stars) is the size of the burgers to price. Most of these burgers are $15 and over and are quite small. You need two to fill you up. That's a bit of a downfall. The taste however was great. Fries were hard and cold and the sauces on them just didn't go. They just lacked that burst of flavour. Maccas fries are 2 stars better than humburger fries. I give the fries a 1/5.
Burgers with a creative edge, Humburger has a small but exciting range of burgers, chips and drinks to try. A small restaurant with courtyard seating in the back, it is simple and delicious!
We tried the Frenchy and Tokyo burgers, which were not your typical burger. The Frenchy had a tasty potato rosti (and not much else), and the Tokyo had a vegetarian patty with interesting Asian additions. Both were generously doused in sauce, which was a definite bonus! They came in soft, brioche buns that were easy to eat and a good choice of bun (simple, and did not take away from the flavours of the fillings).
They are a cheaper alternative to other burger outlets, and come at a more reasonable size, which is great for people who want lunch, or a less filling meal. For people who cannot always finish the massive burgers served elsewhere, this is probably more affordable!
The service was quick and easy, and we didn't have any problems. A nice little place to try, and a fun twist on the standard burger!
A week ago I was just coming home from uni with a crazy burger craving. In the end I thought through my options and made the informed decision to stop off at Glenferrie station and make my way to good old Humburger. I have previously been to Humburger (for me to go back to a burger shop it has to be good) so I was expecting good things from their team. Humburger is about a ten minute walk from Glenferrie station and is on Glenferrie road.
There are way too many burger joints on Glenferrie Road these days, but Humburger is one of the best. The New Yorker at about $14 is decent value with two patties and has a good balance between the bun, meat, cheese, pickles, and sauce. It has just the right level of decadant, finger-licking, gooey-ness.
my original review from sept 2014...
Based on fellow yelpers' reviews here I decided to give this place a go during lunch. It was as described and I'm still full 6 hrs later. I ordered the New Yorker, fries and shake. For $14 dorrahs... this burger is on par with Chew Burgers on value, taste and size! All the other joints are just too small to call a burger! eg. Huxtaburger, Mr Burger etc. a burger experience in my mind is one where u look at it and u know ur in for a treat! The New Yorker was a double large patty on bacon and brioche bun. With cheese etc. it's a handful with sauce dripping if not handled properly. Not too much that it drowns the flavours but sufficient for u to enjoy it as a complementing taste sensation. The burger was flawless in taste and presentation. A colleague even commented: "it looks like a burger u see in ads and photos that u never really get after you've bought it"... Make sure u r hungry when u order this. It is a decent meal by itself. The only thing I could suggest is if the patties were flame grilled with that flame grilled flavour. Don't laugh.. but like a decent whopper! Anyhoo that's my 2cents worth.
Nice place and good food. Was happy with the milkshakes, chips and burgers and even better was the price. Not amazing burgers but they are still a solid.
Food- 7.0/10
Service/place/price- 8.5/10
Waited a little long for the food but the burger did deliver. Burgers had soft buns - not my thing, but some people really love it. Great flavors and not overly sauced, but my patty was a little dry.
One of a about zillion burgers restaurants that are in Melbourne. A little pricey for a relatively small burger. Still if you're after a decent burger and in the area it's not a bad place to visit.
The burgers at Humburger are undoubtedly delicious. It is always the Melbournian for me and the Frenchy for my partner and on each visit, the quality and taste remains consistently great. I love the pillowy soft buns that soak up all the sauce and the meat juice from the beef patty. The milkshakes are pretty good here too - not too sweet or too think, just the right amount of milk ratio to ice cream ratio. We usually skip the fries as they weren't particularly good. Service here is pretty standard, don't expect too much. Just come here for the burgers and you will leave happy and satisfied.
Heard from someone that 'humburger' was a new awesome burger place and went to check it out myself and must say I was blown away. One veggie burger and one chicken burger option is all the have for veggie and chicken lovers but those two burgers r enough to blow your senses away. Absolutely love them. Was a bit turned off to see the sandwich hand/chef work without gloves the first time and asked them about it but they said it met health safety standards so I let it be Coz the taste was just too good to complain about not wearing gloves :-)
Also a little upset about how they got rid of eftpos but does not mention anywhere on their webpage that it's cash only. Coz when u go in u offer ur card and they point to an ATM that bloody charges u 2.50$ for a transaction.
In the end definitely reccomend the place for aaamaaazing burgers
I was expecting great burgers at Humburger, and great burgers did I find! Ordered the Hum and the Frenchy. Both were delectable. Buns were soft and meat were cooked to the right texture. Would highly recommend Humburger to anyone craving for a true hamburger! Will definitely come back for more. 👍🏼👍🏼
Ordered the New York burger and the presentation of the burger was amazing when it came out :) it had layers of cheese along with bacon, pickles, caramelised unions, 2 beef patties and mustard and ketchup.
The burger tasted amazing :) the only issues I really had was the beef patty falling apart and the amount of fat could of been reduced.
Apart from that I recommend it :)
I do love their twists on burgers. Especially the Tokyo burger. A vegetarian option with edamame patty. Had never tried anything like it before. They used to be better when they first opened though. Their calamari was so much better before. Don't know what happened these days.
These burgers are excellent. I've been here a couple of times & found them to be the best I've had outside of the US. Worth checking out for sure.

Burger, bottled beer, narrow quite sparsely decorated urban joint. I was starving so it's no surprise the NewYorker went down well, though there was something distinctly un-wowing about it, besides the sheer weight of the thing. Greasy, yet something was missing. My mates were happy...maybe I'm just picky?...
I have had both the Melbourne and New York burger here on a whole they where good. They both have similar and strong flavours however both times the bun was extremely oily. The French fries chips aren't very good with hardly any flavour
yumburger! classic aussie take on american burgers. fries are deliciously seasoned and the burgers are juicy and flavourful.
I'm not normally a huge fan of the brioche style buns but it works with these bad boys.
Had the Melbournian, was delicious!! Great meat patty and that bun is so soft and lovely. Also the burger didn't fall apart as I ate it, which can be a rare find. I also had the chips that came with the seasoning ($4) which were also good but it was kinda weird that they were a more expensive options than the chips with different aioli dips. But still had a great meal. And they staff were lovely
Popped in here tonight on a whim for a tasty burger and was not disappointed! Opted for the Melbournian with added pineapple and pickles - bun was on the smaller size but super tasty and not too bready. Meat patty was deliciously juicy and the jalapeños and spicy mayo have it a bit of a kick without overpowering the other flavours. Didn't sample the fries as we decided to be "well behaved" :) I did order the peanut butter cup and was mistakenly expecting a thick shake but in actual fact it was a sundae. My bad. But the guys very kindly turned in into a peanut butter shake for me which was soooo thick yummy and - they should consider adding it at one of their standard shake flavours. It's a little on the pricy side for a burger joint, but was great value for us as we had a 2-for-1 voucher from The Entertainment Book. Will return!
Good burger, not the best I've had, but rates in the better burgers around Melbourne.
Had the new York.
Meat was cooked and seasoned well.
Bun was soft and not too sweet.
Cheese was very runny however.
All around a rather good burger.
Disco fries are rather different but very nice.
The BBQ sauce wasn't overly sweet, and the creamy cheese went really well together.
Salted caramel shake is standard quality, maybe more caramel than most shakes, real caramel in it.
Partner did a make your own, and got a malted vanilla shake, could be a bit maltier but still a nice shake.
They have the best burger I have ever had. The down side is they are pretty small. The place is quite hippie which I do not mind, but somehow there is no soundproof, you literally can hear what everyone is saying from other tables.
Of all the chicken burgers in melbourne, this one is both the least greasy and the best I've had. I do love 8bit but this one is just so good and it gets me everytime. I can't not order it when I go here with friends. Price is pretty standard. Service is good and it's an awesome space. The fries and shakes are awesome too!
Definitely one of my favourite burger joints, me and my boyfriend loves going there although a bit pricey! Used to have some really unique chips but the flavouring they've changed it to is not as good unfortunately!
Some of the best burgers I've ever had! They're certainly not healthy in any way, shape or form but they are amazing. Beautiful decor and I love how they serve their food. The brioche buns are to die for!
Good place awesome burgers juicy and love the way you can choose what u want.. Expensive n small quality love the fries. Recommend for sure
Best burger on Glenferrie Road, hands down. The staff are really friendly (have been offered a free milkshake if we go when they are getting ready to shut down the machine). I always go the Melbournian and with two kinds of mayo, you really can't go wrong. They really take a bit of extra care in the burgers by having just a little something extra in a sauce or a topping. Combinations are great. And with a beer and a healthy serving of fries, it's a really delicious meal. They have a monthly special (usually a beer and burger combo) that is really good value. And don't be deceived by the smaller front space with stools, there is a ton of seating out the back and side rooms.
New York Burger. Amazing burger
Another great addition. Glenferrie Road is an ever-changing food scene but this new addition is definitely a keeper. Chilled (but helpful) staff, good selection of burgers that are just the right size - not slider-small but not so large you're struggling to take a mouthful. Have come here at least half a dozen times to try out their burgers, and with a cold beer and crispy fries on the side, you really can't complain. Recommend a 'Hum' (build your own) or the New York if you're feeling extra hungry.
Bonus points for the funky decor out the back (AstroTurf, wall-to-ceiling gig and event posters)
Awesome Burger!. I had The Hum with Bacon today and it was darn tootin' tasty! Beautifully fresh and well made. Wish I was eating it right now...
Any burger place that you can build your own burger is a winner in my eyes. Got a double party with cheese, bacon, egg and it was tremendous. Huge size and so juicey. Will be back again if I don't have a heart attack in the meantime

A licensed exotic burger eating house - Eat. Drink. Hum. Frenchy - Beef, Potato Rosti, Herb Hollandaise, Chunky Garden Mayo and Cornichons New York - 2 x Beef, Bacon, Cheddar, Caramelised Onion, Pickles, Mayo and Tomato Sauce Fries with Hum Seasoning confessions of a little piggy was invited to dine as a guest of Humburger Humburger 789 Glenferrie Road Hawthorn, VIC 3122 http://humburger.com.au
Not bad.. Had the New York burger: double pattie, bacon, cheese, pickles.. Patties were a 'little' over done and under seasoned, other than that, it was pretty good.. They have beer too. Quiet deeds IPA.. Can't complain.
Humburger is located in a fairly narrow shopfront on Glenferrie rd. (Not so easy to get a park…), They have some seats out the front, although inside there’s plenty of room and you can sit out the back in the courtyard if you like. The menu offerings are pretty straight forward, you get 5 choices of burger and then a host of options to add if you so desire. I went with the “New York” option at $14.5 – it comes standard with double patty, bacon, cheese, caramelised onion, pickles, mayo and tomato sauce, all on the ubiquitous brioche style bun that no self respecting on trend burger joint could go without… I got a side order of fries with herb hollandaise (Which tasted to me like béarnaise… quite nice actually) and a salted caramel milkshake – because a non-salted caramel milkshake would just be too… not salty??? Anyway, once the boys had ordered their burgers and fries we sat outside awaiting the arrival of our tasty treats. The New York is a good looking cheeseburger – oozy melted American style cheese, a good amount of sauce, two good sized patties on a seeded and lightly toasted bun. On looks alone it gets top marks. First bite in and everything seems as it should, the beef is well seasoned and juicy – although I’d like mine a little pinker. In saying that it seems more of a fast food, chuck style mix of beef so it’s still juicy regardless. The melted cheese encasement does
Service was very friendly. The burgers/shakes/fries were great, could do with a bit more sauce in the burgers however. Love the back room with the furry wall! Very affordable, I will be coming back :)
Really good burger place, had the New Yorker and it was tasty an juicy and didn't take long to arrive at the table! Only thing I would say is that my girlfriend wanted the New Yorker with just one patty instead of the 2 it comes with but it was the same price, no discount (even know they charge $4 for and extra patty) I would have thought a couple of bucks off would have been nice! Will definatly go back in the future if I'm in the area!
Best.burger.ever. no need to say anything else
Yummo. Had the New York burger and its probably the best American style burger ive had outside the USA. Good quality meat and really fatty orange cheese. Loved it.
There's no way a burger can get any better than that. If u like a soft bun, this is the place. Flavour galore
Good burger!. I had the New Yorker. A very generous burger. Almost too generous. In hind sight, I would have been happy with one pattie. The meat was really good - chunky and medium cooked. Cheese is awesome. The fries were over cooked and way too salty (and i love salt). It was a good burger, but I probably wouldn't go back any time soon. It's a bit of a weird vibe in the place. Especially out the back. Also... I'm getting over the whole 'brioche-bun' thing.
Swimming in grease, but by far the best burger in Melbourne.
Better than Hux, Royal Bros, Zombie Burger and Mr Burger.
Worth the drive, also do student discounts.
Real men eat the New York burger
Had the New Yorker. The best burger in Melbourne. Get involved.
Great burgers. Delicious burgers, fresh and juicy. The burgers are cooked well with a wide variety of choices - I've, so far, found that I prefer the Glenfairy and then add my own elements - a simple Glenfairy with some extra lettuce is an awesome cheeseburger. One of the things I like most about Humburger is that the burgers are not overcooked - a burger patty shouldn't be fired until it's boot-leather, it's meant to be pink inside. The toasted brioche buns are awesome. First time I tried a Melbournian - very nice, wanted to order another but wouldn't have been able to fit it in.
Brought the kids here too - no kids options, but a Glenfairy works well. Chips were good - yes they've got paprika on them.
Cheers
B
If you're into true American style burgers this is the place to go (much better than Grill'd in terms of traditional burgers). Had the Frenchy and the New York and these were both superb!!!! Delicious burgers and the salted caramel milkshake was also a hit!
Not bad, not great. Not quite as good as Grill'd...
The Kraut burger held a thick, fatty wedge of pork. The chips had way too much spices added, the kids didn't like them.
Nice funky decor but loud poor quality sound system.
6/10
Great juicy burgers! Love the hum + bacon. Best cheeseburger ever!
Love the "Tokyo". Melbourne's best vegetarian burger. Love the fact that as an Asian inspired flavour( and I'm lactose intolerant) it doesn't have cheese. My daughter loves "the hum". Best cheeseburger ever and for a 9 year old perfect size.
Yum.. I live in the neighborhood and have gotten take away here several times. Their beef is delicious. I like the Humburger and fries, while my partner likes to try the other burgers on the menu. We never wait long, the service is quick and friendly and the burgers are great. (Which is why we keep going back.)
The New Yorker - Definitely one of the best burgers I've had. So good there was no time to waste taking/uploading photos. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu and enjoy the relaxed vibe of this place. What a gem!
Cool venue with a decent burger. I had the Melbournian and it was nice! The paprike chips are also delicous although I find a touch expensive considering the burger was $11.50 and I paid $10 for a can of sprite, chips and lime mayo...
I will re-visit though and try the lot!
Went there mid arvo. Decent burger, great chips. Slow to come out but def worth another look.
Tried the Melbournian - Brilliant burger. Top quality ingredients - especially the meat. Looking forward to working my way thru the menu
Had the New Yorker, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Highly recommend it. Also those Nutella humballs are to die for! Would like to see some sort of relish as a condiment on the menu though.
Great new find on glenferrie road. Husbands Frenchie burger was to die for. Easily the best burger we've had in melbourne.
Very cool new burger joint in the heart of Hawthorn! The Hum burger was delicious- melted in my mouth! Loved the skinny fries, staff were very helpful .... What more can you ask for :)
At last someone has come up with a vegetarian burger that does not include mushroom or chickpeas, lentils, peas, carrots or felafel.... The Tokyo burger has Edemame! Genius! And combined with Daikon, mustard greens, Japanese mayo, Yak sauce, lettuce & tomato on a soft perfectly toasted bun, it works. Full of flavour, i thoroughly enjoyed it. My partner in crime devoured his Frenchy burger featuring beef, potato rosti, cornichons & béarnaise sauce. We spotted the Saigon go past to another table, it too looked awesome...Next visit! Beer & burgers are getting done to death but this place is different, it's uber cool vibe matches its unique menu without paying a fortune for it. A refreshing addition to Glenferrie Rd.
Very nice burgers you just want to eat your finger after it mmmmmmm
The most amazing tastiest burgers Ever !! Great friendly staff , awesome place :)) highly recommended !
Finally, a burger joint that deserves its popularity for the food, not for the hordes that flock to be seen.
Almost made me hum. Great new burger bar on Glenferrie rd. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Their Saigon is a must for any banh mi fans out there. We also had the Tokyo. The combination of edemame patty, japanese mayo, and daikon made me very happy. Probably one of the better vegetarian burgers going around at the moment. Salted caramel milkshake for dessert! Definitely worth revisiting!
My boyfriend and I decided to try this cool new place out and we were certainly not dissapointed! One of the best places to have burgers! Snazzy decor and love the fur walls! Food was very impressive. Easy to eat and mouth watering flavours. And the nutella hum balls are to die for! The staff is attentive and very friendly. Great job guys! We will be back :)
AMAZING. Best burger I have had in a long time! And Salted Caramel shakes? Who wouldn't love that? I'll be back!
Amazing burgers!. Cool new place which has recently opened up in Hawthorn. Staff are friendly and the burgers are one of the best I've had. Given how busy the area is and not to mention packed with eateries, I can see this place soon becoming one of my favourites.
Great ambiance and mouth watering food. Good work guys!
There is ample seating inside, with a room out back, and I really liked the use of lightly toasted brioche buns instead of ordinary bread. They also provide the opportunity to add extras onto your burgers and the burgers include beef, tofu and chicken. Melbournian - beef, spicy mayo, jalapenos, tomato, lettuce, onion, chunky garden mayo ($11.50) The beef pattie was tender and I liked the use of fresh lettuce and tomato. The burger itself is very filling although it may not be large in appearance, my only suggestion would have been a bit more flavour in the beef, although the sauces made up for this in their spiciness. French - beef, potato rosti, bearnaise, chunky garden mayo, cornichon ($11.50) The potato rosti was crisp and golden, and the overall taste was delicious, but to me it felt a bit heavy, so perhaps an addition of lettuce would have helped. Calamari, with lime mayo ($8) We ordered
Humburger is situated on the Barker Street-side of Glenferrie Road. Don’t let the small entrance and counter seats fool you, the bistro boasts a lovely courtyard and a large communal table.
Melbourne is packed full of burger joints at the moment and new ones are opening up all the time. Humburger is one of the newer additions to the burger scene and we think is a good one.
Don’t let the small shop front (about the size of Huxtaburger) fool you. They actually have a back room and a garden for you to enjoy your sit down meal. The walls in the back room are covered in what seemed like cowhide. It had a very natural and funky feel to it, although I’m not sure it is all that fitting for a burger joint.
love this place in every way. also great if you're vegetarian because the Tokyo burger is amazing. my photo is of my new favourite burger from there, the Hot & Spicy.
The staff there was very nice and they were very quick service and most importantly the burger was so delicious!!! Cheese melting!!! I will definitely get it again :)
Melbournian burger really hit the spot. A tiny bit of heat, the burger sauce was delicious, patty was juicy.
Good value.

Really great burgers and disco fries, great service, interesting atmosphere 😊
Burger deserves a 9/10. Unfortunately the chips were a 6/10 at best. Also disappointed that they don't have meal deals. But overall decent meal. Had the Melbournian for $11.50. I found that to be good value.
The chicken burger tastes like charcoal grilled, so yum. Highly recommend to add an egg to it.
