Didn't realise how amazing Churro's were until l tried them, so light and love the crispy texture - dipping chocolate sauce is to die for. They even have Paella - YUM!

Dipping sauce for the empanadas will be good as it was too dry. Really delicious seafood paella but portion is a bit small for the price. Really good churros.
El Churro cafe was yum. Fresh Churros with a great accompanying chocolate sauce they had great options for sharing.
If you are a school student, this is perfect place to go for something after school as they offer 50% all original churros if you come in your school uniform. My friends and I ordered the 21 mini bites for $8!!! The mini bites are very reasonably sized and it also comes with 3 dipping sauces of your choice. These churros are very crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside and paired with warm dark chocolate sauce, it is a dream come true. My friend also chose the caramel dipping sauce and it is not very sweet or artificial. It almost is toffee-like. Overall, the food was delicious and we were incredibly satisfied!

I visited this place today while waiting for my laundry to be done. They had a powerpoint to plug my phone which was good 👍not many places have even 1 these days. I had never had Tapas before so It was my chance today. I had the beef chorizo Tapas this time. Taste was good, the meat balls were mixed with some sort of tomato sauce that gave it a good end taste. It would be good if they had blinds to reduce the sunlight a bit as it was a bit uncomfortable for some customers. The actual plate was a bit damaged on its edge. Customer service was good. 👍
We got the mini Churros and I loved it!! They make the Churros fresh to order and it's so crispy and yummy. The chocolate dip is so indulgent and creamy and every bite was a delight! Love it!! 😍
Location is convenient as it is near a train station and is on a busy street with other shops. Churros with dip is good and pricing is reasonable. Staff was friendly and service was good.

This is my usual spot during exam periods to sit with a friend and just chat about life. Friendly always smiling staff and ambience is satisfying. The only thing I have to complain about is their music. It gets too loud at times, it felt like I am sitting in a concert or something.
Their Spanish Hot Chocolate is best I have had and currently I would it's the best place to have hot chocolate in Glenferrie. Their churros are good too, I had it couple of times but yeah do not have it when it's cold, it looses the taste when it gets cold.
I wanted to try their Paella but unfortunately for me it comes with pork and they do not have any other option as of now so I had to let it go.
Wow just wow. Firstly I’m shocked this place doesn’t have a higher average rating. My partner and I ate dinner here last week for the first time and it was amazing. We had the paella, meatballs, enchiladas, some Spanish wine and churros of course. The food was all INCREDIBLY fresh and tasty. The service was fantastic and the churros -YUMMMM. We will definitely be back! 😊

We've been here several times for meals, hot choc and churros.
Hot choc is delicious ! Smooth creamy and just enough sweetness. Their churros are in my opinion better than San Churro, crispier and not doughy

Got a 20% discount here via the Eatclub app on a Friday lunch. Cost about $80 before discount for 4 people with entrees and paella to share (and take home). Standouts were the beef empanadas ($5 each) - crunchy corn wrapping with tasty filling and salsa. Would come back just for these!
Croquetas were a bit disappointing, nice but small for the price. Paella was good but a bit wet - happy to report the seafood was fresh tasting and good quality.

Treated my wife to a Spanish experience and the staff and owners were fantastic.
So many options on their menu so we started with the Tapas, so many to choose from and we loved every dish. Great value for money.
Then we had the seafood Paella to share and we were blown away by the freshness and the taste....didn't experience these flavours in downtown Barcelona.
Finished with their churro fondue and Oh my god !
Loved the Spanish beer!

I love this place! I come here often for food, which is always fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Def recommend their pasta, it's delicious and very hard to get as it gets snapped up v.quick. The salad here is always really good, crisp and fresh.
Had great paella here for lunch today. It was part of their lunch special and was great value at $10. I would definitely come back to try more.

P and I shared a churro plate which came with a choice of dipping sauces. We opted for the caramel and dark chocolate. The churros were warm and delicately spiced with sugar and cinnamon. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs as a plate of six churros were a bit too much for the two of us. The churros themselves were moreishly crunchy. Perhaps just veering on the side of too crispy as it came off as slightly dry in the centre.
I was waiting around Hawthorn for my friend to call so I decided to have some churros while I'm waiting. The first thing I did was go straight to the toilet. The staff greeted me as I walked in and they were polite even though they thought I was just using their amenities and not buying anything. I was going to order churros with chocolate sauce but I thought you could only get a large serve of that and I wasn't that hungry so I decided to get a custard stuffed churros. It came out warm, dusted with cinnamon sugar and a small bit of orange. It was delicious, but at $4.95 I found it to be a bit expensive. I like it here, I might come back again. I see they have a roof garden which they open on the weekend, it might be nice to go there with friends.

Came in on a Valentine's Day, ordered some Spanish Hot Chocolate, Churros and Potato Omelette.
Omelette was cooked well, fluffy, right amount of potatoes and seasoned well.
Churros a little plain, but it came in a heart shape, 2 of them on the plate, very nice touch.
Spanish hot Chocolate is outstanding, rich, but to too sweet and not too thick/dense, easy to drink..... slowly.
18 months young, very well set up, open Kitchen, cozy and it has a smallrooftop deck seating area, quite a good view of Hawthorn, just a bit of having through the back.

I've had quite a few meals at this venue now. It may appear to be just a doughnut shop but once you venture in you realise they have a more extensive menu and serve alcohol.
What I've tried:
Spanish Chorizo hot dog - bit ordinary. Better options on the menu.
Spanish Chorizo burger - good solid burger on a par with anything similar in the area.
Spanish Flatbread Quesadillas - also very nice and well presented.
Chicken and Chorizo paella - tasty hearty meal this one.
Apple Fries - nice little treat if you want something different. Try them.
Sangria - My drink of choice. A tangy fruity red punch that is really refreshing.
Sangria with Wine - Nice too but I prefer it without alcohol.
Thumbs up to the Spanish Omelette too. Spanish Brekkie was enjoyable too if you want a change from English Breakfasts.
Savory Churros very nice if you are not a sweet tooth. If you are then there are plenty of choc coated or choc filled churros. Too many to count. Seem a bit expensive compared to regular doughnuts but many of the fancy ones are really cakes and should be seen in those terms so the prices are reasonable
Service is fine but front of house could do more to SELL their products. This is the type of cafe where a lot of customers don't have any idea what to buy or understand the myriad of options. Staff could be a bit more upfront to assist with this I think.
Decor is fine. Comfy seating down the back. Have had live Spanish music there but I've never seen a performer.
Great little cafe to visit before or after a movie at the Lido I reckon. Open late and one of the few places you can get a coffee on this strip after 6pm.
Excellent churros, just like in Spain! The coffee was also great. Will have to come back for lunch or dinner and try some of the savoury dishes.
Churros have been a popular snack in Australia for quite some time, which has seen many restaurants serve churros and churro specialty stores pop up. Spanish Doughnuts is one example of these stores. With small take-away stores in both Flinders Street Station and Southern Cross Station, they are already a well known name to Melbournian commuters.
Staff were really friendly here & helped us work out what we wanted, but then when the food came out we ended up getting double the amount of churros because it wasn't enough food haha. It was definitely cheaper than other churros that I've had before but i wouldn't say it's as nice as other places I've been to. Although I like the decor a lot more than the other churro places I've been to
From their name, I thought they will only do desserts well but their savoury dishes are surprisingly good, too. Came here for breakfast. Very slow service that morning but the food was enjoyable. Staffs were very friendly and the food was not pricy. Would come back.
Went there on a whim to have churros. Who knew Melbourne had some awesome churros!!!! Had the bite size 18 churros with milk chocolate, Nutella, white chocolate sauce - amongst the 4 of us they were devoured in - literally - 2 minutes. Totally worth it 😄
Visited using $5 Groupon voucher. Bought 3 churros with dipping sauce and a large latte. Churros are fresh...delicious... Coffee was very good as well. Better than other churros shops.
