Review Sushi Sushi - Hawthorn

I don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere else with such fresh sushi every single time. And really friendly staff too

1. Dont give soy sauce packets. Its not practical for people trying to eat on the go. I spilled it on myself trying to pour some onto my sushi roll. Give me the soysauce that comes in that small fish squeezy bottle. 2. Change your wasabi. That pre-squeezed stuff you give out, doesnt taste like anything. And its annoying for someone that enjoys the wasabi taste. Give me the one in the packets please …. I’ll legit go to sushi hub if its the same

Best sushi I have tasted in Victoria

I had some sushi today with a friend and we were both extremely disappointed. The size of the rolls certainly did not match the price. We paid $3.10 for a prawn roll half the size of a normal sushi roll. The product itself tasted generic and lack flavour. Do not eat here.

Part of my order is missing, please contact me. I ordered 4 sushi rolls but only received 2 of them.

I went for take away sushi. I was gonna order 7 sushi rolls, after i ordered 3 sushi rolls, the waitress just expected i finished ordering and start wrapping it up without asking. I told her that i want to order more, and she gave me a annoyed face and asked what else do you want. Very bad service. Definitely won't go back again.

Average Sushi, suitable for quick takeaway if no time to cook the meal. Staffs can be professional or rude, depending on your luck.

Nice and convenient, but there are other alternatives quite close. Good if you're in a hurry and want to sit down inside.

Grabbing a quick lunch has never been easier, and when the kids want sushi, Sushi Sushi is our go to. Quick and reliable service, and inexpensive in price; we really love this sushi chain.<br/><br/>The spicy tuna rolls, fresh salmon rolls and the crispy chicken are all favourites; and with a generous dab of wasabi, they are a tasty lunch.

It is a pretty average sushi shop compared to the other great ones. Probably good for people looking for the cheaper prices for average food. Not as fresh as I would have liked but all in all, not too bad.

2.5/5<br/>I had some eat in sushi to be my little bit for the environment. I’m conscious that this place uses plastic like no tomorrow and I was disappointed to see someone sitting next to me with plastic take away containers that went straight into a bin OUTSIDE after the patron finished his meal. <br/><br/>My crispy chicken sushi with white rice was ok, but for me it contained gristle and cartilage which I know some people like, but that’s not for me. Especially in a sushi roll.<br/><br/>My fresh salmon brown rice roll didn’t have much flavour, even with soy sauce and wasabi! The salmon didn’t taste too fresh to me.<br/><br/>Overall disappointing.

Super unwell yesterday so my husband picked me up some sashimi on his way from work which usually cheers me to no end but this pack had two little bones in there which I really didn’t appreciate. For $10.50 be a bit more pedantic in the kitchen please

Fairly standard chinese ran franchise, though isn't that odd? You don't see japanese ran chinese restaurants.  The food and service was standard, not much to say, though it didn't seem as fresh and popular as our usual places.

Fresh , sushi is not perfectly folded but flavor compensates. Is a bit overpriced compared to other sushis. Staff friendly. Place could be more clean

Ingeniously done .... Sushi franchise.<br/><br/>Nothing too exciting, just a great concept and delivered well for the mass marker.<br/><br/>Had some issues with their hygiene and food handling.<br/>

"...NOT TOO BAD USUALLY..BUT THIS ONE..VERY VERY AVERAGE..."<br/><br/>We had literally 10 minutes, today, to grab a bite to eat before an extra long movie session at LIDO, Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn...<br/><br/>No.. didn't feel like frozen yoghurt - right underneath...<br/><br/>No.. didn't feel like a burger - just to the left...<br/><br/>No.. didn't feel like fast food - immediately across...<br/><br/>No.. didn't feel like juice - across to the left..<br/><br/>"Will you hurry up.. already.." <br/><br/>"Hey.. there's sushi.. that's what I want.."<br/><br/>Recognized the franchise - SUSHI SUSHI - whilst 'nothing to write home about'.. it's usually always fresh.. sometimes.. most times.. fresh is good enough.. sometimes.. most times..<br/><br/>We got the hand rolls - the Crispy Chicken ones and the Teriyaki Chicken ones, the Avocado, the Tuna...<br/><br/>It wasn't fresh...!! and it wasn't good...!!<br/><br/>We didn't need to use the little soy sauces - they were all too salty on their own...<br/><br/>And.. they were seriously small.. [a plus - with this batch...!!!] <br/><br/>I don't know...... <br/><br/>Just 'another nail in the coffin' of those franchises who cannot guarantee CONSISTENCY OF PRODUCT and a definite affirming testament to those franchises who can... am thinking of one big one, in particular - Yes, they do.. they do it well.. - regardless of what one may think of their food....<br/><br/>Hey, the film was great...!!!<br/><br/>Visited on Saturday 31 October for a quick Lunch for two.

Food's fine - it is what it is, but very disappointed they have moved to disposable plates etc for eating in. Unnecessarily wasteful and shows little regard for the environment.

Smallest sushi roll I've ever had in my entire life. Went to sushi sushi during lunch break today was so disappointed about the size! Oh my god the sushi is half smaller than the other sushi shop! Don't worth $2.50, not even worry 1 dollar, will never go back again!

Curious.. Fast food chains are successful because we are familiar with their product and they tend to be reliable. I am growing suspicious of Sushi Sushi because i'm finding the previous statement less and less accurate. <br/>Once upon a time their containers were sealed with a sticker and now they're not. Once upon a time a serve of Beef Tatake came in a certain way, but now it comes in another. And these aren't drastic changes, they're small, almost inconsequential changes. Almost. <br/>These changes are enough to make me question the behaviour of the middle man. Maybe i'm paranoid, but a small part of me has the inkling that the franchise receives stock from the head office, and then they cut it, like a drug dealer, to increase the number of serves. Sounds crazy, i know. I just feel like something is amiss at certain branches of Sushi Sushi. And visiting the Glenferrie Road site made me put it to paper.<br/>I do like Sushi Sushi, but how long will it last ?
