Best fish and chips we've had in a while and very cheap! Had an accident tonight where my girlfriend and I both accidentally ordered our dinner twice (once each) but the bloke was really good about it and another nice bloke in there bought our second dinner. Recommend it!

They were out of flake on a public holiday and when I asked what other fish were available I had a very stilted conversation where the person taking my order would name one fish. When I said, yes..., implying him to go on, the response was "do you want that one?" The potato cakes were tiny and, while not obligatory, we didn't get the normal free one thrown in even though we ordered 6. The minimum of chips ($3) was not enough as a side for three people. However, my grilled blue grenadier was very nice. We only went here because our local was closed on the public holiday but most likely won't be back.

When you advertise that you are open on Monday's, one of two fish n chip shops in the local area that say this, and we drive down a ways to get fish n chips and you are NOT open... Well. That's just bad salesmanship. We took the extra five minutes and drove up Bourke Rd to Hectors Fish n Chips and didn't regret it. I'd suggest heading there instead.

Great chips, very friendly staff, and competitive prices - could do with a scrub or a lick of paint though.

Great place for a cheap meal

It isn't our normal local fish & chips store but on a recent visit the f&c were a pleasant surprise despite some of the negative reviews I have seen.

Better than your average fish and chips based on the quality and size of the flake. Potato cakes good and nicely cooked, dim sims standard. The chips are cooked well, crispy, but this is where they skimp. Serving size of min chips is about as small as they come. Last time I was here I paid for more chips and they just gave me the same min amount. It's the consistent let down in an otherwise good experience.

Love this place now !!! Fish n Chips are great. Fish still crisp after I bring home . The food is really good, service is above average. It's pretty different from last time eat here .

Worst fish I've ever hard in my life, chewy, couldn't cut through it. Yucky. Waste of money.<br/>Would not recommend this place to ANYONE. <br/><br/>Chips were blahhh.

Don't Order the Vegie Burger!!!!. We ordered two burgers with the lot, one vegie burger and $4 chips.<br/>The burgers with the lot were tasteless, the chips were floury and the VEGIE BURGER HAD NO VEGETABLE PATTY!!! It consisted of lettuce, tomato, onion and EGG!!!!!!! I rang up to complain - and the person who answered the phone (who didn't speak good English) said that the egg was the "vegetarian bit"!!!!! Are you kidding me? He didn't even know what a "veggie patty" was!!!!

Fresh and delicious. Tried the burger meal and was very satisfied especially for the price.

Good fresh fish and attention to detail when it comes to getting a good crisp on all things fryed. As good as it gets for your standard fish and chips in my humble opinion

Good fish & Chips. Surprised no one has written this place up. Good quality fish and chips ate reasonable prices. The Flake and hamburgers are good and the portions decent. If you just want good run of the mill take away this place is it.
