Horrible customer service. The attendant was completely rude and would not even make a eye contact and acted all grumpy like she was doing me a favour serving me. The chocolate cake slice I got was way too sweet, dense and dry. The cream on top turned sour, the slice could well be over the use by date.
Do not recommend this place atall.

Overpriced and dirty. It would be ok if you charged the price you did if the place was clean. The cleanliness doesn't match up to the price. When it first opened it was clean but i do not believe the owners are up to the job of keeping clean. Even the tables are all chipped and cracked crumbs everywhere. 4.50 for a small :(. The cakes are a good serving though :)

In this era when we are aware of how bad non-recyclable take-away cups are, why, for the love of all that's good, does this cafe choose to give its in-house customers coffee in take-away cups? The coffee itself was over extracted and bitter, which was not improved by having to drink out of cardboard. The staff were inattentive and lacking any kind of interest in customer service.

Myself and my girlfriends are regulars at this coffee shop, not for the food but because its convienient.
And over several weeks l have experienced and witnessed the manager of this shop treat her customers with such disrespect.
If your not a people person then get a job that dose not require kindness,a friendly disposition and compassion.
I recently witness her become very impainent with an elderly gentleman who was struggling with his money.
We are now on the hunt for a new catch venue and she makes our quality time together rather unpleasent.

Coffee is decent and the service is usually very friendly. Unfortunately direct sunlight hits one of their cake displays and I've twice received cakes that taste off.

I am not impressed after paying $28 for a small cheesecake, took it home to enjoy and found it to be absolutely disgusting! The cheesecake had to be defrosted for 2 - 3 hours, we defrosted it for 4 hours, the cheesecake was still semi frozen, soggy and absolutely disgusting. Do not recommend buying a cheese cake from there.
Have also had poor experiences with their toasties and customer service.

The array of cakes was lovely - so many to choose from, and so delicious. The only downfall was my coffee wasn't the way I ordered it, so not the tastiest to me.

Coffee and food is good but no smile on attendants face/poor customer service. Seems like they are doing a favour to us by doing the coffee.

Came here close to lunchtime on a weekday. Ordered the Mixed Berries Chilled Cheesecake and a latte. Both tasted good without being exceptional.
Mummy+Me Eats
Went recently for a work lunch meeting and I was quite happy with the experience despite being told by colleagues they didn't quite like it here. Will happily come back to try more of the menu. Coffees were pretty good and they had a variety of basic lunch and pastry options. Plenty of tables and decor with dark wood tones makes it a nice spot for a business catch up.

I decided to have the heavenly ‘Oreo Cheesecake ($5.50)’. My dining companion picked the luscious ‘Toblerone Cheesecake ($5.50)’. I ordered an English Breakfast Tea whilst my dining companion chose a large Mocha.

Byron's Vanilla Slice Blog
Had I read the reviews of this chain on Zomato prior to making my purchase, I might have reconsidered doing so. Nevertheless, a vanilla slice came home with me for a hefty $5.50 and I proceeded to eat it. This is not a vanilla slice worthy of being sold in a patisserie, or at least what I would expect a patisserie to sell if they are worth their salt. Clearly in Australia the word patisserie is thrown around and standards vary hugely compared with mainland Europe. The pastry was tasteless, overabundant and actually too hard - causing real trouble cutting and biting through. The cream filling was a real disappointment too; an effortless, bland dollop of bog-standard cream that forgot to include any texture, richness and vanilla content. I ate a little over half and threw the rest away in anger. These guys really are making a poor product and selling it at a ridiculous price.

We stopped here for a coffee and cake. Ordered at the counter and coffees and lemon tart were brought over to us a while later. Coffee was weak and warm, lemon tart was ok. Its a shame as its probably the best coffee in Tooronga Village.

One nice staff member, the shorter dark haired lady. Other staff are terribly rude and honestly if you go there, do not expect hot drinks. Do not expect your tepid drinks to fill your cup.
Do not expect much but be prepared to pay and walk away to Coles where you can make your own for cheaper.

This cafe does not offer orders at the table. You queue and pay at the register. After I was seated the ordered was called out to be claimed by the diner. Not a very pleasant thing. The pie was supposed to be beef but I could not identify any. It was served to me unevenly heated ranging from cold to extremely hot. The coffee was passable. Surely it isn't too hard to produce a good hot meat pie.

All I can say is:
Do not eat their cakes.
Do not drink their burnt coffee.

Despite the nice staff, Sweet Temptations is terrible.
I will not be back.
