Review New York Minute - Hawthorn

Coney island schnitzel burger, which comes with free range and hand-crumbed chicken breast, smoked bacon, premium grade swiss cheese, tomato and cos lettuce + sweet chili and mayo. And small load fries topped off with homemade smokey BBQ sauce + mayo. Just so good! Fresh, juicy and tasty 🍔. I'll get them again 😋.

27/5: returned to try their wings and chips at the Malvern food hub. Chicken was dry, chips were solid on it inside. Would not recommend. Previous review (4/5 stars) Not many places open late on a Sunday, the mini New Yorker is still bigger than the burgers you can find at a fast food drivethru. As noted by another review the patty was a little cold but overall an enjoyable burger full of flavours.

I got a veggie burger, a chicken burger and some jalapeno loaded chips. Both burgers were really good, tasty and fresh. The chicken was great, and it was really filling. I tried the veggie burger and the patty was well made and it was a solid burger. The chips were nice, but I didn't eat too many tbh as they were sooo spicy hahaha ... phew!! Overall, I'd definitely order this again.

I made my own burger as I like to add lots of stuff in my burger 🍔 it came out really good! Highly recommended fried chicken burger with egg and Smokey bbq on it 😋

Had New York Minute for the first time. Ordered the Patriot Burger and Loved it. Highly recommend.

I had ordered through UberEats, order was apparently accepted and I waited an hour for it. Only cancelled when the driver went to the store. Disappointed, hungry and upset. Waste of time and bad service.

Soho Friend Chicken and the Souther beef burgers are the absolute best. So good!

Ordered the vegan burger and the patty was stone cold inside. Very disappointed. Chips are nice but there was a big mystery deep fried lump of something in them, maybe beef? I threw it to a magpie and even he wouldn’t eat it. The other burger was nice.

Pretty ordinary burger for the price. Fillings are great but the patty itself is small and dry which is a real shame. For the quality of burgers from their competition I wouldn't bother here again.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that New York Minute had opened a branch on Glenferrie Road (even though it's been there for quite awhile!)

I came here with the kids. There was limited seating. The interior was simple but practical. The burgers were tasty and packed with fresh accompaniments. The double-cooked chips were out of this world. They were crispy and delicious.

Service was quick and polite. So for one minute of a New York experience, this place does the job right!

Tasty chips with the excellent freshly made burger.

“HANDS DOWN BEST CHIPS IN MELBOURNE”
there I said it! let’s throw down! 🤜🏽

Burger was delicious and on par with some of my personal favourites in Melbourne.

Just sayin’ Drake was playin’ in the background so I wasn’t complainin’.

Overall pleasant experience. ✌🏽

My partner and I ordered Philly cheese steak, southern style and manhattan. Let just say that there are better options around.
Philly cheese steak has to be eaten with a spoon because it’s just a gooey, flavourless mess, the steak is paper thin sliced and rubbery (reminds of boiled meat).
The southern was too sweet, probably from the store bought bbq sauce.
Manhattan was flavourless, dry burgers, again reminded boiled meat.
The bread isn’t your typical brioche, but a sweet type of bread.
Overall not impressed. Another creation from the “burger joint” hype.

Delicious chips but unfortunately the burger was just too sweet for me. This was probably from the sauce but the bun was very sweet too. And the place has no a/c so not good on a hot day.

Delicious burgers and the best chips I've ever had. Definitely recommend the sweet potato chips. Crunchy and hot!
I had the Brooklyn Beef burger as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. I would 100% come back. I went to Carlton few years back and they did not have this burger so the new recommendation was satisfying. Thank you boys!

Been here a few times. The burgers are tasty, and the buns are the nicest buns I've had in my admittedly limited experience of burgers. Staff were nice. The New York and Ex-patriot are classics, while I wasn't such a fan of the NYC Brisket Burger, but that's probably because I don't do well with spicy things. I haven't been to other locations of New York Minute, but I would recommend this place.
