Best pho I’ve ever had, friendly staff. 10/10 would recommend
Super helpful staff and very proud of their menu. We were greeted with a special offer to sample a few dishes. The crispy pork - yum! Rice paper rolls, spring rolls, crispy chicken and the beef stew - amazing! Will be back!
I recently moved locally and have now eaten here a number of times. This is undoubtedly the most delicious Vietnamese food I’ve had! The coconut jelly is a must have dessert. Staff are also lovely and friendly. I will continue to eat here regularly.
Terrific local Vietnamese in Hawthorn. The quality of the food is very high and well priced. We really enjoyed the authentic flavors and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely will return and look forward to many more delicious meals.

Delicious flavourful soup base to the pho (that is msg free, if that's important to you). I had the sliced beef pho, and in addition to the amazing broth, Lady Dan is super generous. There was heaps of beef, so much that i struggled to finish it all!
The sides are great too, particularly the pork belly and crispy chicken wings.
The owners are so friendly and wonderful. I've been in twice and both times they have given me little tasters of their desserts, speciality drinks, etc.
Bottom line: I'll definitely be going back!

I loved Lady Dan! Went here by chance tonight, and am so glad we stopped in. The staff were beautiful and took the time to chat, even telling us some of the history of the food. The pho was fantastic, and just a lovely, friendly atmosphere - even some of the local customers had a chat! Will definitely go back.
Just what Hawthorn needs. A little piece of Victoria st but closer and better. Food super tasty. Highlights the Lady Dan chicken special and spring rolls. BYO wine is a bonus.

The waitress suggested a meal combo which gives you a main plus an entree platter that comes with a bit of everything - the best suggestion ever. I probably wouldn't have ever ordered that beef stew but it came with the combo and oh my... it was so delicious with that dipping bread...For my main, I had the bun bo hue. That soup was seriously amazing, would definitely be back for more bbh soup and beef stew!
Nicely cooked and fresh flavoured Vietnamese restaurant staples. Slightly Hawthorn... tea comes in pots not thermos and no sauce bottles on table (little dishes of sauce instead). Friendly service if a little too chatty. A welcome asset to the neighbourhood.
I was privileged enough to pop in on their grand opening night! Menu had great variety and left me wishing I had a bigger appetite to try everything!
I ordered the bun bo hue and a custard apple drink. Noodles had a great texture, almost like they’re handmade. Soup flavour was on point! The meat was cooked just right, very tender. Pricing is very reasonable, especially for such authentic tasting food. Staff were all very friendly, polite and attentive!
Restaurant itself was clean and spacious. Great place to take your friends and family for a meal after a busy day at work.
Will definitely be returning to try the roast pork next time!
Generous servings and tasty food, cannot really fault the place. The spring rolls are a must and the sauce that came with it had an amazing tang!
My first attempt on Vietnamese Food and it was great. Went with my office mates most of whom are first timers and Owner Harry was kind enough to help us with what different kinds of food to order, suggested on how to enjoy it fully by mixing few dips. Mainly there is no MSG in food ( as none of us felt thirsty after the broths).
I suggest to try BBH ❤️ and prawn spring rolls.
Must say that he has risen the bar on hospitality and doubt if we'll ever like any other Vietnamese place.
This place is authentic Vietnamese for sure, despite it is not 100% traditional, they have made alterations in the menu to cater locals taste buds.
So the pho or aka rice noodles that I ordered came I was actually really surprised by the freshness of the beansprouts and sides, normally in most of the Vietnamese restraunts that I have been to, the side vegetables are not often as fresh as this, as you see in the photos.
The soup base was very good and thick with flavour, meat was tender, rice noodle was good texture. Coconut juice was freshly cracked and the ice coffee is just dam vietnamese. Would defnetly recommend this place.
Also the boss is very very welcoming, with suggestions and always make sure the taste is right for you.
Amazing food, great service, great prices. Ticks all the boxes. Can’t wait to be back for round 2. Keep up the great work 👏
Me and my friends went there to have dinner, we ordered Rice Vermicelli with chicken, Fried fish with rice and pho with rare beef, very nice food and attentive service! Highly recommend the fried fish with rice for summer! We will defn visit here again!
Perfect authentic Vietnamese restaurant.
Partner and I had the crispy pork belly on rice as well as the beef brisket pho. Both were flavourful and fresh, with quality ingredients.
The service was on another level with our waiter showing us various ways to eat and tips to enjoy our food using simple Vietnamese table condiments. He was kind of like your cool uncle who you'd go too for wisdom and advice. It was very professional but very friendly.
Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Melbourne across all fronts.

The authentic in the name is not a gimmick. Delicious Vietnamese food as authentic as it comes. Food that is cooked like how my grandma cooks it. Make sure to drink all of the homemade bone broth afterwards!
Found this treasure just by chance and we will be back over and over again! It is probably the freshest and tastiest vietnamese food in Melbourne. Every single dish was made to perfection. They have a good range of vegetarian options. The coconut juice jelly is to die for! Big thumbs up to the host too- very hospitable and friendly!
