Review I Spicy - Hawthorn

Gigi Phuah
Good Thai food at a very affordable price, I work nearby and this is my go-to lunch takeaway place when I need some good and cheap Asian food. Might need to wait a bit sometimes, and the chilli is really spicy even at mild level. Spicy food lover will enjoy this.
Adrian
I don't usually complain about Thai food. I ordered Pad Thai to takeaway today. Pad Thai was watery and soaky. The taste was overly sour. I can't really taste anything but lemon juices. The crispy pork portion was so little and soaking wet with the Pad Thai. Where are the bean sprouts, shallot, coriander? Overall, it was disappointed. (I ordered at the shop which is opposite the Woolworth. )

This is one of my favourite Thai restaurants in Melbourne. The taste is great especially the price is superbly right. My girlfriends and I always meet up here for delicious Thai food after work. It doesn't really matter where we work, let just meet here. Our favourite dishes are Softshell Crab, Papaya Salad, Stir Fry Morning Glory, Pork Shank, Deep Fried Fish with Apple Salad or with Three Flavour Sauce. For the three flavour they also serve it with fish fillets. Their fish cakes are good too. We always order to share. They used to have Yum Mama (instance noodles salad), but they took this off the menu and I was so devastated. Not many Thai restaurant would offer this dish. Their staffs are always very friendly and always serve with big smile on their face. Please note that this place really serve very spicy dishes, so it is best start with medium or mild and you can add on next time.

Good valued tasty meals. Thumbs Up !

Great cheap street food Shame about the services Hospitality love your job

Best in town for sure. I loved the food every time

All time fave (crispy pork fried rice and chinese broccoli with crispy pork spicy) yummm
Sandra AlamGunawan
Love their crispy pork with garlic sauce.. great taste great price great portion..
Walter
A secret gem!
Please order the crispy pork set with rice and veggies!
They have the crunchiest and juiciest pork!!
Their portions are okay not too big so it’s enough for one, located near the supermarket!
Caroline
Food here is delicious. I always order the vegetables with crispy pork or their curry. Would love to try other dishes next time. Menu selections is huge. Service is self serve but you would only come here for the food not their service.
Lambchop.urban
Depending on who is serving, you may get a good service or terrible service. But if you can overlook the service, this outlet serves remarkable Thai street food dishes. We are not Thai, so we are not thrilled with the Yen Ta Fo. Agree with other reviews - the khana moo krob (crispy pork with chinese broccoli) is a winner. We went for the hot level and sure it was, the dish had so much kick, fiery taste.

Best food and best price. I love how they cooked the pad kee mao noodle to perfection especially the extra chilies that was added into in. Unlike other place, they also added thai basil into the noodles. That’s what we called an authentic pad kee mao. Thai fried rice is good too. Overall, husband & I enjoyed our meal.

Ordered through uber eats. Took less than 20mins to arrive. 👍
Norman Normandee
I ordered chinese broccoli with crispy chicken. It quite sweet than original taste. Maybe they adjust the taste to fit with Australian. Price is reasonable
Munching Pandas
One of the best Thai takeouts in Melbourne metropolitan area.

Panda 🐼🐼🐼:
All of their “stir fry on rice” dishes are good, my recommendation is the Kangkung Crispy Pork because it is really rare to find kang kung in a dish here.
Crispy pork fried rice (this one is not available in the menu but this is a must-order as well!)
Thai Milk Tea
Papaya Salad
Pad Thai
Affordable price, $8-$12 per dish
Generous portion of food
Free flow of with rice during the summer (!!!)
Canned soft drinks only $1 with a purchase of meal

Pandon’t ❌❌❌
Cash only (Woolworth’s is just right in front of it so it’s really convenient to do cashouts)
No toilets (you might sneak out to a fast-food chain branch nearby 😏)
As for the food.. None because all of the foods are good!

You can choose the level of spiciness from None, Mild, Medium, Hot, Thai Hot; and trust me the Thai Hot is realllllllllyyy insane! As for a spicy lover myself, I’d go for medium because on that level I could still taste the kicks of the chili but enjoying the savouriness of the dish.
Their service has improved a lot since the last time I came here, the place for dining in is a bit meh but well it is meant to be takeout place.
Definitely will come back!

I used to work near here so I Spicy was a lunchtime fav, but I have driven here for dinner once or twice with a friend cause it’s pretty yummy. It’s a wobbly table, order at the counter kinda place but they get some good wok char on their pad se ew and they do a mean pork soup or a deliciously spicy grapow. Yum!!!
Fine Foods
I Wow...first time here with my friends for lunch today.Great tasting food friendly staff..we got good deal with free milk tea.. fried fish with green papaya salad very good crispy deep fried pork leg so yummy.I love to come back again soon. :)

Yummy and cheap!! Great to come for lunch and dinner with friends and family. You can enjoy cheaper food with rice and tasty. If you pop in for the first time shouldn’t miss their crispy pork,it’s so nice, and if you keen for spicy You should order Spicy noodle with crispy pork!! It’s the best.

I come here to eat Yen Ta Fo at least once per week. It is a must try in Glenferrie are. There are a lot of places to eat but this one always is my priority. They sell exellent and authentic Thai food. I recommend everyone try Yen Ta Fo fish noodle here. You wont regret!!
Rin
Food is always authentic tasting and spot on. Met the boss last night and he's really friendly and into customer service. 👍👍 Two thumbs up! Pad kee mao is my go to all the time here. Also recommend their fried chicken which to me tastes much better than KFC. 👌😁 Do take their spice level seriously. Medium is pretty damn spicy and I can take a good amount of heat so I always go mild and there's always chilli provided if u wanna add on later.
Arini Kosasih
Another gem inside the Glenferrie Centre arcade serving authentic Thai food. We've been regulars for years now. We have tried almost everything on the menu and our favourites are Thai Fried Rice with Crispy Pork, Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork, and Deep Fried Barramundi with Apple Salad. Food and service are constantly good. The only downside is there are only a small number of tables. It's a must try if you are around the area.

Good food..! pathetic service..! Both the girls there are bullies...! They once cornered by friend and accused her of making an order and not picking it up...! She was not even in the country that whole month. They don't smile, don't know the existence of a word called thanks and absolutely sickening faces made my the chef girl when she doesn't like something about your order
Jaydaysss
Came here for lunch once and can't wait to come back again. The food was decently priced and the portions were reasonable. I like how you can adjust the level of spiciness for your tastes when you order. Would love to come here again!

We came to this place before and decided to eat some Thai but was disappointed in how the food and drinks changed over time, the Thai milk tea was watered down and stuffed with ice, the curry also doesn't have enough flavour to it. Prices are above average for a food court style outlet as well. This is without mentioning the attitude problem of the server/cashier at the front. Would not come again😤
Michelle
Very bad attitude. We asked for a small bowl to share our food with for kids. They said if everyone asked for a small bowl, we won't have enough bowl for others. What's a great attitude! Will never ever go back again.
Dani R
After a 10 year gap decided to pay a visit to ispicy, my old stomping ground. Food is still good and authentic; the green peppercorn sauce was delicious as ever. They have gotten stingier with the meat though as there was way too many bamboo shoots in there. And yes, as pointed out by another reviewer, very spicy (even at medium heat) - but there's the authenticity.
The service isn't what I remember. I know it's cheap and for the price I'm not expecting enthusiasm, but the lady server is downright cold.
Jodie
Best kana moo krob in Melbourne. The pork can be better - it's usually a bit dry and chewie, not crispy. But they nailed the flavour and the texture of the brocolli, it's always crunchy and juicy! Oh and the deep fried egg! Burnt around the edges with the yolk still runny! Perfection!
Ivan.junarsa
Food quality and taste has decreased a lot in the past year. Portion of the is getting smaller as well. Not worth the money. Service was poor - can't even get an extra bowl to share my food with my son. Won't be coming back.
Dee Dee
Love the mince chicken with eggplant. A small cafe which does not look like much but the food is great. Price is reasonable as well. Will definitely go back for more.
One Full Spoon Of Sugar
This place does not quite offer a beautifully designed interior or ambience, nor the service was considered very accommodating. However, this place seemed to be very popular, especially among students. This is not surprising, as it is located around university zone, and the food they offer is really yummy. Been coming here for numerous times, and most of the times will order pad thai, crispy pork with garlic sauce, or fried rice. The foods were always pleasing.

If you are looking for delicious food, acceptable price, quick eat and go, this will suits you. However, if you may want to stay longer, have a nice chat with family, friends, or maybe to bring someone on first date, this may not be the one.
MF
Basically im a i-spicy fans, their food are simple but good, stir fry greens with pork chasiu with young green peppercorn is the best other than the pork shank. The taste is totally the same as the one in richmond, so if either resto too crowded then can go to the other one.
The Girl With Blue Hair
C'mon people! This place is not about service but food. It's definitely one of the best cheap-eats in Melbourne. You get to choose your own carbohydrates (I.e. rice/noodles), vegetable, meat and level of spiciness. After you have ordered at the counter, you find your own seats and help yourself to cutlery/water. Came here with a friend for a quick bite. We ordered the Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork and Prawn Pad Thai. Have asked for mild spiciness. They both turned out to be very spicy but extremely tasty. Will definitely come back again.
Stella Vaughan
Food was okay (Satay Chicken was fairly dry - wouldn't order again)!but terrible service!
Took 20 minutes for one little dish and wasn't acknowledged the whole time while standing there waiting.
Tom
The best chinese broccoli thai crispy pork dish i've had in melbourne. Very flavorful sauce, just the right amount of spicyness. The only thing that's holding it back was the portion. I paid $17 with extra meat and fried eggs. But i can't barely tell the difference.
John
After years of haven't eaten here decided to take a trip down memory lane to iSpicy. Have to admit, was very very dissapointing. Portions were small, and prices were similar to iSpicy2 in Richmond minus the decor which I felt were ridiculous. Will not be back to this shop here in Glenferrie. :(
Elaine
Hiding away from glenferrie road, I spicy provides consistently good and authentic food with reasonably price, a popular spot for local and always happy to visit :)
Bonobono
The food there was very delicious despite the sauce of crispy pork belly n chinese broccoli was too salty. Especially fried rice was one of the best fried rice i've ever try. However, sadly the customer service was terrible.
Terry
Didn't have such a negative experience like the other reviews. For $10 you get standard thai noodles. Not going to be the best meal you will ever have but a good safe lunch.
"JT" Jeffrie Trika
Nothing fancy, just consistent, good Thai food for lunch ....

Value for money, much better offering than those fast food franchises for about $10.00.

Authentic, quick noodle or rice dishes.

Plenty on the Menu to satisfy anyone.
Qarooj1
I had a worst day in this restaurant which just spoiled my day. We went for a group lunch and we had a terrible experience. The service was so bad and the food was not even fresh (WILTED SALAD AND HARD OLD CHICKEN). They had a very non welcoming behavior as if they don't care about the customers. We asked for a cheapest tissue paper again and it was the threatening thing for the restaurant as if we have asked for the free food or lease OF the shop....they explained to us that we already gave u one tissue each. They then gave us one ...LOL ....They need some lessons of respectable communication, thai food cooking and customer service....OR LEAVE THE SPACE FOR SOME DESERVING CANDIDATES ......
Chris Bhadra
A horrible experience and horrible food!! I ordered BBQ chicken with rice and the chicken pieces looked stale and lacked the freshness!! The service is pathetic as they kept us waiting at the counter for literally 10 minutes even when they could see we are there !
To top it all, the main lady-in-charge had her own air about something and made a face when she had to give us more than 2 tissue papers. We just couldn't believe it. The salad with our main course also didnt appear fresh enough!!
A huge waste of $10.
Nadine Moustafa
I had a horrible experience there, the food was disgusting and there is no word can describe how bad it was. we went for a group lunch and it was so disappointing, that none of us could concentrate on the work after that. They are so stingy and miser that they cant even offer TISSUE PAPERS in abundance!!!

My favourite place for spicy noodles. The perfect balance of spiciness, heat and flavour. Strongly recommend getting thai hot spicy noodles with crispy pork or chicken. Great value for money, always fill my plate.
StepiiGM
Oke so.. reflecting on the restaurant's name, food here can be really really spicy! Well technically you can choose between not spicy, mild, spicy or thai spicy (this one must be deadly 😶). Me and friends regularly come here on Sunday, they open at 12 pm-ish and sometimes customers are just pouring in a minute later. Food is amazing and portion is big. We always go for their spicy noodles, kangkung, and green curry chicken 😊😊. On the downside, service is COLD and not friendly. And lately food has been waay too salty.
Coffee And Food
I like to come here when I think about Thai food. Very tasty and authentic foods they cook. Love the fried rice and chinese broccoli with pork belly. Price wise is cheap to eat there too. They don't get enough points is because the staffs mood is up and down.
Nicole Zou Holmes
I will definitely go back again!!! The food was so tasty and authentic!! It is quick and at a reasonable price. I ordered a Tom Yum soup (entree), it was $8 and had three big prawns in it. The spicy noodle was wonderful, the taste was clean and refreshing, you could taste all the individual flavours. Regardless of the initial appearance of the restaurant and the so-so service, the food is absolutely worth trying!
Choc Pudding
I had red curry dish and all the dishes here are cheap, but not a big portion. The taste was okay. It is good enough for a quick and cheap eat. There are always people there.
Hungry Hippo
I actually like the food here, but the service has been appalling. Their regular staff gets mad at customers easily, and likes to chuck dishes at them when annoyed, or rolls eyes when customers try to understand their confusing "fried egg with on rice deal" for a few seconds too long. If you don't mind getting a bit of attitude, you should try their fatty Five Spiced Stew Pork on Rice. However, you don't get a fried egg with this dish even if you pay extra for the fried egg deal. Again, very confusing. Technically false advertising.
ItsTrueFatKidsLoveFood
Great place for cheap and quick take-away. The thai food here is decent quality, but best of all is that it’s cheap. $9 gets you a range of dishes. Pad thai and the red curry are probably my favourites. Only dish I don’t recommend is the Penang Curry, was sweet and weird tasting.

I-Spicy is a tiny Thai hole-in-the-wall establishment in a small shopping complex off Glenferrie Road. Most individual dishes are cheap (between $8-12) and one is able to construct your own meal by choosing the kind of meat or vegetable you want and then deciding how they are to be cooked; as a stir-fry or curry with white rice, or fried noodles or rice. Given its "budget" status, décor is obviously on the plain and rudimentary side and you order and pay at the counter, and fetch your own cutlery and condiments. The standout dish would have to be the spicy fried rice noodles (Pad Kee Mao), perfectly seasoned and expertly cooked with lots of smoky "woks breath". Rice lovers might like to try the delicious crispy roast pork stir-fried with kangkong and rice, though the dish is somewhat on the small side. An excellent cheap eat and one of Melbourne's better Thai restaurant chains (they also have a branch on Victoria Street in Richmond).

SO DAMN RUDE, THE STAFF HAVE NO TIME FOR YOU. SH@T SERVICE.
I GOT THE FRIED CHICKEN AND IT WAS SO HARD AND CHEWY, SEEMS LIKE IT WAS FRIED A FEW DAYS PRIOR AND THEN REFRIED TO ORDER..
AVOID THIS PLACE, MY FRIEND WAS SICK AFTER EATING HERE!
-----CHEAP AND NASTY-----
Angel Putritama
The deal was good. Spiciness level perfect! Def will come back for sure! Price was ok! My fav dish is the crispy chicken spicy with kangkoong!
Thomas Daniel
Never Again. Ispicy are a bunch of mutts, they charge excessive prices for inedible meals that take about 4 days to cook. My pork smelled as though it had been kept in a luke warm meat hanger for the better part of 2015. Don't even think about ordering a beverage because all you will receive is a glass of ice with a sprinkle of your desired liquid, I've seen more mls at cloud nine at 10am than in my Thai Milk Tea. Ispicy, more like Ipricey, amirght?

Recent comments on urbanspoon seem to suggest i Spicy’s serving size has decreased... I’m glad to say we didn’t find the dishes small at all. In fact I think we ordered enough for four people rather than three.

iSpicy is proof if ever there need be proof that location is not everything in finding a place to eat. It’s a tiny hole in the wall that sits inside a clotted, musty shopping arcade and looks toward a supermarket. A casual onlooker could be forgiven for passing by and jumping to the conclusion that it’s nothing more than a cheap and nasty takeaway venue. But looks can be deceiving, as the meals at iSpicy are full of flavour, colour, and in keeping with the moniker, spice.

i Spicy is a cheap eat food gem hidden away from all the other prominent restaurants along Glenferrie Rd in Hawthorn. It is located in a small plaza where Woolworths and Woolworths Liquor are located. I know there is an abundance of cheap eats along Glenferrie Rd, but i Spicy is highly highly recommended. For only $10 you can get yourself a decent serving of a very tasty Thai dish with rice. The crispy chicken with basil is a big favourite of mine. Picture below: Crispy Chicken with Basil On this occasion, I also ordered the minced chicken with eggplant. Picture below: Minced Chicken with Eggplant All dishes come with a spicy rating of no chilli, mild, medium and spicy. If you cannot handle your spicy foods, I would strongly recommend mild. Even as a chilli freak (the hotter the better, in my mind), I order my dishes at i spicy at a medium level because the chillies they throw into their dishes are insane. However, I wouldn’t recommend no chilli at all, because then the dishes become a

The food is consistently of a good standard and the service is prompt and friendly.

The winning dish for me (and Thanh especially) had to be the Crispy Pork with Red Curry. Everything about this dish was a win.
Fatboo
I’m a fan of this stall’s cheap and cheery one-dish-meals. If you do visit, you have to try the deep fried pork belly with Chinese broccoli on rice.

Barramundi with papaya salad – ...deep fried to a crispy batter of skin, served with a mildly hot fish sauce with ample citrus notes. The green papaya spread across the top provides an extra element of tart, juice and bite. As with any deep fried fish, the flesh is a tad on the dehydrated side. And what is that, it is only $22?

Gone down hill. Had to change my vote from Like to Don't Like. Use to order frequently but recently I have been disappointed with quality and taste. Had 2 curries one with beef and another just vegetable. Vegetable curry mainly consisted of bamboo shoots and it was too sweet.
I might try again in another month.

They've gone a bit stingy.. The bowls are conspicuously smaller and the prices higher than last visit. thankfully the quality has not suffered.

Crispy Pork with Red Curry. Amazing and so cheap!!
Hungryhearts
Being rude in thai to customers thinking they do not understand the language is not acceptable for proper customers service any one should experience.
J
ILove it! Their desserts are super standout particularly the little pancakes. Yumtastic! As the name says, everything is pretty spicy. We've tried nearly everything on the menu but favourite is the squid. The butterfly chicken presents well but is just a little bland. As restaurant is small it often gets squishy, but there is an upstairs are for larger groups.
Valerie
Love the crispy pork! Service have to be inproved otherwise all is not bad
John
Staff are not friendly...went there with my Thai girlfriend & she spoke Thai to them & they were so rude to her & me. Would never go back! Food was very average! Have eaten there a few times & they have never said 'hi or thank you' chicken was stale & tasted like it was frozen. Not fresh!
Little.miss
Very casual dining. Food was okay...perhaps didn't order the right things? Pad Thai was nice, they had dried prawn which is different to all the other Thai places I've been. Be warned about the spiciness! Would try it again
Thefoodexplorer
I love the crispy skin pork with kangkung on rice! Yumm.
Michael Harms
Beautiful food but I'm a bit miffed that I paid an extra $3 to eat in yet I have to get up and get my own water, cutlery, napkins etc. What exactly is the extra money for, cos it's certainly not service.

Dissappointed. I came back to this place to introduce to friends. This time was a disappointment with the service. We ordered their 4 main courses on the board and intended to order for more. We were seeking the waitress to help us to where to sit. But the waitress was being relentless and not helpful. When the food arrived, we still didnt have a proper sitting for us to enjoy the meals together. The waitress didnt care and just served the foods out without making sure if we were alright. It supposedly to be a good meal since we like it but it changed. Hopefully the service can be more helpful. i will think again before introduce it to friends.

Never disappoints. Tasty, authentic and really spicy if you ask for it. Thai people eat there all the time, that tells me a lot. Pink soup, pork shank and 5 spice pork stew are favorite. Thai milk tea is superb so give it a go!
Flossie_1972
Crispy Pork with Green Peppercorn Sauce...delish! I make sure I have it every time I'm here on business.
Attinee Muk Limpamont
I bought Yen Ta Four noodles for takeaway. It's ridiculous salty. Full of MSG. It used to be my favorite menu. RIP my pink noodle. I won't come back again if they ain't fix it.
Hawthorn Local
I ordered I spicy for dinner tonight after reading the positive reviews. I was quiet disappointed in the food. I ordered a chicken red curry and chicken pad keg mao (spicy noodle) The chicken used was very fatty and grey looking and the noodles had a fast food Aidan taste like the Asian food you get at a food court and not authentically thai. Won't be ordering at this place again and will keep up my search for good local thai

Another Regular Dissapointed. I completely agree with jenna's review on dec 5th. My girlfriend and I moved in to Hawthorn back in August and have been regular customers of I Spicy in Hawthorn. Normally there was a very nice waitress serving us and everything was always fine and the food was great but we went there today and the usual waitress was not there and replaced by a very rood thai girl. I said my order clearly but my gf's dish came out incorrectly and then when i told her i ordered the crispy chicken kan kung and not normal chicken she rolled her eyes at me and said she asked me if i wanted crispy or not and i DID say crispy but tried to blame me. She was very rood about the whole thing. She obviously does not know the phrase "the customer is always right". My girlfriend and I may not go back after this. It is a shame because the food is still excellent but needs an improvement on the attitude of the waitress who is currently there replacing the nice one who im guessing is on holiday. Anyway Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! bye.
Jenna Smith
Regular is dispointed. Its been like 6 months i haven't been to this restaurant because i have to moved a bit far. n now, i moved in to my new place really close to this restaurant. before, this is one of my favorite thai restaurant, som tam n crispy pork fried rice just awesome.. i went back to have exactly the same food i normally have before, crispy pork fried rice.. i was so disappointed, i dont know whats happen, but no wok smell (like normally have), tasteless, and waitress just sooo rude. dont waste your time and money for such a service like that. well, but som tam n crispy pork broccoli still nice tough
Chia Chia Ong
DON'T go there. The staff are so rude and the food was so so and little portion. My mom are 70 years and having problem to walk, we were asking.the staff whether is ok for my mom to use the toilet because is closer, she refused to let my mom use the toilet. What kind of service is this?? Heartless staff letting an old women not get to use the toilet in the restaurent. Food are salty and little portion. Don't know why people are giving good comments. If you still have a heart, please don't support this heartless restaurant.
Akshay Tickoo
Spicy as they say it. Good food for a reasonable price..
Had the prawns spring roll for an entree, it tasted good, but a bit small.
Had two main meals plus steamed rice, the total came up to $35.
Definitely recommend to anyone to try it, would go there again if didn't need to drive for 20+ mins to reach there.. *though still might end up eating there if our favourite close by thai restaurant remains closed*
Selvinna
Yummy spicy!. The food combine perfect with the spicy taste. Doesn't like other spicy food which just taste spicy But, lost the original taste of the food. I spicy's mixed their food with the spicy taste exactly good! ! so i still can taste the spicy without lost the original taste of the food!
Emily
Great authentic Thai food. Not too sweet like a lot of the other Thai restaurants. Their pad Thai is something special and the crispy pork rice is great. Would recommend it for all, but not for those looking for a romantic dinner-you may get distracted by shoppers with trolleys.
Pauline Heng
Worth the wait!. The pork shank is the BEST! although i must say the wait time is really long..could possibly wait for at least half an hour to an hour before you get served your food. But i think its worth waiting. their soft shell crab, mango salad and fish were just all so good and yummy
Polly Cheung
Super rude staff! I didn't expect any service but I didn't expect they would be rude either! Sad!
M
Delicious authentic Thai food, everything that should be slow cooked has been. Great prices! Good for a really casual meal!
Carol
Came because of its famous reputation, but I couldn't see what was good on that super salty dish

Still undiscovered by many people. I lived in Hawthorn for a couple of years and noticed iSpicy was always filled with lots of Thai students, but I didn't try it until a couple of months back, which makes me feel silly.

I now go there at least twice a week. The food is delicious - packed with herbs and chilli, and lots of meat in each serve. I never have to wait long for the food and it's such good value for money at $10-12 for many main dishes.

This isn't somewhere for a romantic date given its location, premises and decor, but it's cheap, cheerful and genuinely great Thai food.
Darren S
This place really punches above it's weight. The store hardly looks like anything being next to safeway in a dingy looking arcade but the food is the best Thai I've had outside Thailand. A real secret gem. Must try. The deep fried pork knuckle is awesome.
Kiki
Daggy Location but Great Food. I usually get take-away fom here, rather than eat in because it's in the shopping centre, opposite the trolley bays and grog shop. The crisp chicken with broccolii is delicious. I like chilli, but asked for mild/little chilli, but it was by my standards fairly hot, so if you don't like spicy stuff, order it with no chilli. The menu has interesting things on it and tastes authentic.
Martin Newkirk
The food here is daaaaaamn tasty! The first restaurant I tried in Melbourne 5 years ago, and hundreds of restaurants later I think it's my favourite. Don't bring a first date here though, it's very low key and the food can be insanely spicy.
Natalie.Hayden
Seriously awesome!!
Foodandwinelover
Simple and spicy. Just love the flavour of the crispy pork with thai broccoli..will be back soon
Jonathan
Had to wait 30min for my take away and its not even busy! I had my order first and told the cashier that ill be back, came back in 10 and i still havent got my order cook. They skip my order and cook for the dine in customer first. Ordered non spicy and they still cook it with chili, its not even edible. Ended up with instant noodle for my dinner!!
Eve
Fantastic Thai food!. Don't be put off by the rather tacky decor, the food is fantastic! highly recommend the pork knuckle and the crispy pork with kangkung or thai brocoli on rice. Very tasty. Be sure to mention how spicy you want your dish as they are not afraid to add chilies to their dishes! hot means VERY hot.
H
Unassuming. Looks dodgy on the surface but food is all good. Always filled with Asian students so it must be ok, right?
Katy Blackman
Spicy lover. Good food reasonable price ..thai fast food..i spicy

Cheap and good. Great place for some seriously good and cheap thai food. This place is packed with students bustling in and out grabbing their takeaway.

Had the chicken tom yum and a pork belly brocolli dish, both were really good!

Student-grade Thai food. I don't know what the positive reviews are raving about.
Aaron
Fantastic. Some of the best thai food out there. Try the crispy pork, thai broccoli. Just be careful with the spices, when they say hot, they mean hot.
Ashley Ng
Delicious and Authentic. Had the Chicken Pad Thai here and it was one of the mist delightful experiences I've had! Truly authentic style, it had all the characteristics of a traditional home-made meal.
Paul Wee
Awesome!. Must try include the pork knuckle, and papaya salad, which is quite authentic
