Cute little cafe next door to the old giant steps. French themed with French pastries. Coffee order took about 10 mins as it was super packed on this public holiday morning. Nice coffee and friendly service.
The sourdough here is fan- frickin-tastic! I visited on a Saturday morning at about 9ish and it was still warm, no toasting needed when I brought it back home. Coffee is good too, great to see them staying away from the hipster style coffee which is a little too floral/weak for my liking. This coffee means business!
This is an absolute outstanding cafe, mainly for the breads baked on site. The Croissants are spectacular but you need to arrive early in a busy weekend.
It is a big cafe on the Maroondah Highway. Perfect place for quick break or cozy meal . Plenty of seating inside and outside. My partner and me ordered Mushroom with sourdough and baked eggs with sourdough. We really enjoyed sunny Sunday with delicious meals.
Lovely place for a coffee break. Take a book along and spend a bit of time there. It is cosy and if you’d like to spend sometime relaxing, this is it.
Great pastries, fresh and tasty. Coffee is comparable to inner city quality. Also has nice desserts. Only wished that they did not run out of food so quickly during lunchtime.
We picked up a couple of pastries here. Whilst the service was pretty slow and laid back, the pastries tasted nice and fresh. The almond croissant was a highlight
Stopped by for breakfast after a camping trip. A small little cafe that gets filled with customers on a Sunday morning. With a wall full of bread who wouldn't love this place. With 3 hungry girls we ordered 3 sweets and 3 delicious toasties. The highlight was....everything! from Danish to breakfast muffins everything was freshly baked.

Seeded sourdough is to die for. Great chai too. My partner and I came here over the weekend and were delighted to find such a hidden gem. A large bread range, really great quality. Cafe uses Bonsoy milk and a really nice spiced chai. My only critique is on the raspberry and white chocolate muffin - it doesn’t really need the generous topping of sugar on top, it’s beautiful and sweet without the sugary topping. Thanks for a great experience!

Habituel is a modern little roast-their-own-bean, coffee shop, recommended by our Airbnb host as her favorite cup of coffee in Healesville. The coffee was excellent and didn't disappoint! It tasted fresh and you could tell they take pride in what they do.
The pastry display looked glorious and every single person running in and out of the shop ordered the almond croissant on that particular morning. My guess - it's a favorite! We decided to go the savory, served-hot route with the sourdough jaffle, stuffed with double-smoked ham and Comte cheese, and side of dijon mustard. It was crispy on the outside, and all-comfort, gooey on the inside. Delicious and great way to start the morning!
Easily the best pastries and house made bread in Healesville. Coffee roasted upstairs. Turkish bread, escargot and fruit danishes are exceptional
Really enjoyed my takeaway chai latte and ham and cheese croissant. The boys liked they’re coffees too. Lovely space, relaxing tunes, and friendly staff.
Not sure why this place is getting such a low rating. Coffee was excellent, bread is superb (as good as Wood frog) and they provide QUALITY reading material (New Yorker, Age, Guardian, etc). Pastries are good, and service is attentive. Would more than hold its own in Melbourne. Give it a try!
coffee is excellent. pastry is very good - ham & cheese, chocolate & almond croissants. the danish was ok. mushroom jaffle was good too. definitely will be back!
Best coffee ever, fantastic pastry and very nice artisan breads. Went back later in the day for a take away coffee and it was as good as the dine in l had earlier that morning bought coffee beans and a sour dough loaf for home. Will be going back very soon.

Habituel bakes some darn good bread and pastries! The pastries are flaky with many laminations. The danishes have fresh fruit and a nice baked in custard, and wash it down with their store roasted coffee.
The toasties are good, with a decent amount of cheese and filling. I'd say the truffle one needs a little bit more truffle oil.
A small cafe serving up some of the towns best coffee and baked goods. Quickly stopped by for a coffee and a white choc raspberry muffin before we went out for lunch. Both were very good, the muffin was fresh and moist. They do also have a small menu which is served takeaway. Tables available outside.

If you love strong bitter coffee and excellent sourdough bread in this area stop right here ! This is the place with fast efficient friendly service. Great coffee after spending a few hours at the brewery the night before.
On a busy, Sunny Saturday, I had the opportunity to pop in - bit of a queue to order, maybe 15 mins, then another 15 minute wait for coffee. Still, the coffee was fantastic once it arrived, as was the breakfast muffin (very filling). I enjoyed the location and ambience. The breads looked sensational. Maybe go outside of peak times - definitely worth the visit.
Coffee, ham and cheese croissant and blueberry danish was beautiful.
I thought the price and quality was fair, however portion seems small (or perhaps shrunk).
We decided to order a Reuben steak sandwich which was $16 and instantly regretted it.
The sandwich was not worth the price point and I would not recommend ordering it.
Save your buck and double up on the ham and cheese or danishes !!
Probably the best bakery I’ve encountered. Awesome raspberry and white chocolate muffins that are very moist and delicious. Their sourdough seeded loaf is wonderful as well as their fruit danishes and apple tart. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.
