Friendly staff, delicious food, great coffee. Their reuben sandwich is the best I've had, can't go past without getting one.
What a hidden gem this place is. Great service and delicious food, I'll be back.
Funky, airy, fresh, great service beautiful fresh home-made cafe/restaurant food that is top notch, friendly staff that obviously love their job. Can't wait for the liquor licence!
Wonderful people. Awesome rated coffee (Proud Mary) served consistently well. I enjoy the gf options and the hearty healthy lunches along with the casual friendly banter of staff. All around a delightful cafe with a great vibe.
I am blown away with quality of their service. So friendly, observant and attentive. Seriously one of the best places I've recently visited. Incredible coffee and food. Can't ask for more..
Very friendly, happy staff serving the best coffee and tasty dishes. I enjoyed a well presented delicious breakfast of fluffy scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on sour dough bread. Loved it and will be back.
Amazing staff, Amazing Coffee, Amazing food. One of my favourite places in Melbourne!!!!
It's my gorgeous local. Lovely owner and staff. Excellent coffee, delicious food.
Love the vibe, service, smoothies and the most yummy muffins! Across the road form McDonalds but definitely at completely the other end of the classy home-cooked spectrum
Great service, great food, great coffee. Happy to see the place buzzing. So proud of all the staff.
What an amazing little cafe
Great food, great coffee, great people
Delicious food and great coffee. Staff are friendly, chatty and inviting. Very peaceful and outside gets wonderful morning sunshine. So glad I've found my new local.
Friendly service, great food. I've already recommended the cafe to my family and friends. :)
Gluten Free muffins.....blueberry. So good with great coffee. I'll be back to try the raspberry and apple as well. Too many choices for GF.
Been an avid supporter since it's opening! Best coffee around ! Congratulations on a year
First time visiting this cafe! The white exterior makes it stand out from the street. I ordered a soy latte which was nice and warm but a little weak for my liking. I did like that they had three takeaway cup sizes. I ordered the large which was the perfect size and they have an extra large if you wanted bigger.
Had a great lunch here yesterday with my 4 year old twins and their grandma. Very child-friendly with colouring books and games that kept the kids happily occupied and allowed us to have a relaxed lunch. Food was delicious with some great options that you don't get at other venues. I had the Indian Scrambled Eggs that were served with delicious flaky roti bread, dhal and the tastiest mango chutney I've ever had. Loved the chutney so much that they sent me home with a little take-away container of it to have at home today. Will definitely be going back!
Really great experience any time I’ve come here. These people all know how to give great customer service, especially the girl with super short blonde hair - always so nice and bubbly.
Thank you.

Happy 21st to my daughter who chose this place for her celebratory brunch.
Located in a side street off Bell Street opposite McDonald’s, this is a sweet place to come for some local friendly service and good food.
The menu is a little different and it was nice to see some interesting meals.
I had a tasty ‘Middle Eastern’ meal and my daughter made up her own treat of sour dough, holoumi and avocado. Her juice was amazingly fresh and tasted delicious.
Although we sat outside in the morning sun there are some nice seating layouts inside including a nice bench to read the well supplied daily newspapers.
Big thank you to the staff who were always friendly, happy to tweak the menu to suit us and always with a big smile.
Plus they are doing their bit to help reduce waste with reuseable cups etc.
Wheelchair friendly. Very kid friendly. Good parking in Francis Street. Takeaway food available. Toilets is unisex and suitable for parents with toddlers.
Wheelchair accessible inside and out. Accessible bathroom available.
We came for breakfast. A really nice small cafe. We had a full breakfast which is available all day. Moderately priced but for size and taste reasonable. The coffee was great!
Definitely will be back.
Wonderful staff. Awesome rated coffee (Proud Mary) served consistently well, i.e. hot with design as ordered. I enjoy the gf options, particularly the white choc raspberry on offer. Outdoor table space, indoor mixed tables for large or small groups and a high large bench space. They have The Age on weekends which I appreciate. Pretty quiet inside as they're 30metres away from Bell st so that's never an issue. Music choice is a trendy mix which is good for wide age range. Healthy lunches, Moroccan soup, frittata and along with the characteristic and casual friendly banter of staff, this place is really a favourite when I get the chance to go. All around a delightful cafe with a great vibe.
Great spot - loved the coffee and the super friendly (and infectiously happy) staff. Strongly suggest you try it if you haven't been here before!
Tucked away on Francis street still close to the hustle and bustle on Bell st sits this lil cafe. In a small space they make the room large with minimal decor with light colour tones as well as black and large windows to let the morning sun in. Since it was early morning before everyone started work it was majority selling take away.
My most important thing to start with is coffee which is usually a latte. Yes it was in a glass making it a latte, the milk said otherwise making it more of a flat white. no froth in existance. It did have a strong flavour that was hard to pick. Quiet rough and a lil sour on the tongue. Nothing a sugar couldnt fix.
Next the food. The menu was interesting, labeling dishes after people in or were in power. I decided to settle on something simple and a personal favourite, Bacon Bagel. The only hot item was the eggs. If eaten with bacon and the bagel it was a nice temperature, separately the bacon and bagel were warm. However the holindase was nice and creamy, the bagel was soft and buttery which is what i like and the eggs were perfectly boiled with just the slightest bit of runnyness.
What's not to love? The best coffee, delicious food, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, zero scorpion attacks. 10/10 would come back to again.
Lovely cafe in Heidelberg! Smart decor and spacious interior, great for a quiet catch up with friends or a business meeting. Service was quick and staff very polite. And the most important part of it all - The food - very fresh, lots of flavour and generous portions. We tried the Chairmans breakfast and the middle eastern, both were packed with flavour. They also make dairy free coffee and have gluten free/ vege options! A must try! :)
What a lovely restaurant! Great staff, coffee, and service! They reguarly introduce new creations to the available slather. The area desperately needed a place like this. I sense this might become my local...
Tasty food. Staff offered connect 4, colouring books and pens for the kids. Friendly people. Very good. BLT, French toast with maple syrup, ham cheese toastie with crusts cut off. All good.
Having recently moved into the area, it was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon the Chairman Cafe a few weeks back. My lady and I have now made our second visit and can confidently say that we will become regulars. The menu is reasonably straight-forward and easy to understand, the food is freshly prepared and tasty, the value for money is spot-on and the staff are friendly and laid-back. The only minor drawback is the time it takes for food and drink to appear after ordering; not ideal if you're in a hurry, but really a major issue if you're in good company. For a casual weekend catch-up, its perfect and highly recommended.
Amazing place for a coffee and a bite to eat. A hidden gem in the area and would recommend a visit. Newly fitted out cafe with a great vibe, amazing coffee and delicious food. Great asset to the community.
Wonderful service and a great selection of food and drinks. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic spot! Tia the owner who served us is lovely and very welcoming! Sweetest customer service you'll get! Best wishes Tia on your store, we hope to come here more often!!
I never reivew, but this place warrented a review. I found this place by accident and been here a few times. I am really happy for great coffee in the area, and by great I mean amazing. Staff are friendly offer a real community feel and take pride in what they do. If you are a coffee-holic and in the area it's highly recommended.
Delicious food and great coffee. Staff are friendly, chatty and inviting. Very peaceful and outside gets wonderful morning sunshine. So glad I've found my new local.
Amazing gluten free blue Berry muffins baked in-house! Massive and moist! Smooth coffee and good service from genuinely lovely staff. I had a delicious egg and bacon brioche and small coffee for $12.50. I LOVED my experience. Looks like a really nice place to sit in. I had takeaway but I'd definitely go again to have in.
So glad I found this spot! Very warm and friendly staff that have a genuine interest and care. Food and coffee is amazing, fair prices and a great seating and dining environment.
Fantastic service, great coffee and a reasonably priced menu. They have a fridge for sandwiches and brekky wraps. Would recommend the 'Middle Eastern'.
Nice little cafe hidden away in Heidelberg ☕️ Ordered the Indian Chili Scramble Bowl and the roti with the sides tasted amazing, similar texture to Malaysia’s dining experience. Also ordered a kids size milkshake 🥤 (very filling) and my partner ordered a fruity smoothie. Everything was perfect and spectacular, staff were patient and very kind 👍🏼 Love the cafe’s ambience and vibe as it was a very chill afternoon 🍂
The best coffee I've ever had. Always greeted with a warm hello. Couldn't recommend enough 👌
Great coffee and brekky items to go. Nice family run business who get to know your orders pretty quickly.

Simply wonderful all round. You'll never find a kinder, more community minded owner and the staff are brilliant. Excellent long macs and I highly recommend the big breaky!
