Great food and service awesome. They know how to cook basmati rice. Serves are not big but do reflect prices. I’d easily eat here again. We were turned away by the Henley Beach Hotel after traveling 800kms and only 3 minutes late kitchen wouldn’t budge. Charminar showed us the real meaning of “Radelaide”
Our local Indian eatery. Both dine in and take away have never failed us. Consistent quality and decent prices. Staff friendly and eager to please. Love the chicken madras lamb shanks and cottage cheese dumplings.
This was the first place that I ever got to try Indian food at and it was amazing! Definitely get the cheese naan, but be prepared to want to go back for a second order - it's that good!! Decent amount of vegetarian options on the menu also and all very yummy. Portions aren't massive, but are definitely more than enough. Don't think I've ever managed to actually completely finish a dish (maybe because I've eaten so much cheese naan beforehand). Staff are friendly and willing to accommodate to dietary requests. Lunch specials are ridiculously good value. Only downside is sometimes it seems to be closed when it says online it should be open? Best to ring ahead and make sure. As others have said, the wait can be a bit long on the busier nights.
Delightful. Went here Friday night and had butter chicken and chicken korma, both delicious and the staff were so friendly and polite,meals were out quickly too! Would highly recommend!
A++. I have been getting takeaway from this place for quite some time now and havent had any issues. Food has always been tasty and fresh, service has been reliable and always a friendly vibe inside.
I have tried a range of dishes, none have dissapointed as yet.

I have been to Charminar 3 or 4 times now and every time it has been fantastic, great service and really tasty Indian food. Highly recommend the beef vindaloo (hot).

My girlfriend and I ate at Chaminar last weekend. We had a reasonable meal made up of "taste"r dishes, recommended for the 1st time. Our waitress was a sweetheart. I fear had we not asked to be moved from our initial designated seated area in the overlit middle restaurant area to the more ambiently dim side, in the charge of the lovely waitress, i dare say our experience may have been less positive. The food was nice overall with a couple of "meh" offerings. We would return for another installment (especially since it's only 2 doors up from our home). A firm 4 out of 5 stars from us.

Gonna give these guys 5 stars. Fabulous service, fabulous food, great prices and amazing views if you're there at the right time. You can watch everyone else get stuck in traffic jams driving to Henley Beach square 🤣. This place was only a 7 minute walk from Henley Beach square. Glad we chose here and not those overpriced restaurants down the road. Nan bread was light and crispy - shared with a local walking past who wondered what the food was like. Beef in the vindalo was nice 'n tender and the chicken madras was gorgeous. More sauce than meat in both dishes but hey, ho - that's the way it goes sometimes. Loved this place. Great choice. Dogs welcome outside.

Thanks for a lovely meal and great service. But mostly I was astounded by the beyond the call of duty service. Two female staff rang on my door bell at 11.00 pm when they had finished their long and busy shift, to return my handbag which I had carelessly left on my chair. Thank you for your care and effort. Khichidi can be proud of their staff.
So didn't have the best experience a few years ago and didn't go back but noticed recently that they had an extensive plant based menu. Anyway, decided to give them another try and am I happy we did. We tried the Vegan Vegetable Manchurian, Vegan Tofu Coconut Masala and the Vegan Aloo Gobi. All 3 dishes were exceptional. It was takeaway. We will be back and will try eat in next time.

The whole set out of the restaurant is so beautiful with gorgeous Indian colors and a stunning cow mural on the wall. It has such a warm friendly family chilled vibe with a kids area for the little ones to keep occupied with books! Khichidi is the perfect place to take family, friends, a little self get away or even a work meeting during the day.
Personally hands down the best Indian food in Adelaide I’ve ever had (even before I was vegan this I cant compare it to anything) The vegan menu is so big its just overwhelming but amazing everything I had was DELICIOUS! The freshness, love put in to each meal and portions sizes are on point and with so many wonderful mixed spices it was like a taste experience everyone needs to try!
I have eaten here several times now, both dine in and take away. The service is always great, friendly staff, great decor and beautiful spot for a beach sunset view. The food is always delicious and the vegan menu is incredible, I'm so happy there is a place that has amazing vegan nann bread, I'm addicted to the vegan spinach and cheese nann, the vegan mango lassi is amazing, my daughter loved her butter chicken and mango lassi, my partner loves this place and rates the butter chicken as the best he's had. Definitely my no.1 for Indian food in Adelaide. I'll definitely be a regular here.
