Held my mum-inlaw's 90th birthday party here Saturday. 54 people on the outside deck area including children from 2 months. Lisa made the whole process so easy for us in the planning. Food was as wonderful as always, tasty and hot. Service was wonderul, helpful and friendly. More than enough food. Highly recommend The Dock Bar and Restaurant for a birthday function. Thank you to the entire team for looking after us so well.

Excellent service and great atmosphere. Food is well presented and seasoned well. Extremely tasty food indeed. My husband and I have been looking for another decent place to eat in relaxed surroundings and this place just filled that need. Well done to all at The Dock HB for a very pleasant lunch yesterday. Even my young grandchildren were catered for cheers. �

Hey guys. Just a quick note to say you have a great thing going there. Thanks for a great lunch (again) with great service too. Your tapas menu is delicious and its great to be able to try different things each time. And you dont overprice your craft beers like alot of places do. To quote 'big Arnie'.....

Pancakes are excellent, very fluffy and crispy on the outside edges. Various options, i went with the bacon, pineapple & maple syrup - not too heavy and went down a treat!

Cafe Balaena was a beautiful hidden Gem of Hervey Bay, with excellent service, divine meals and enticing atmosphere there was nothing that would disappoint. Service was so above and beyond that they would go out of their way to make sure your meal was as good as it could possibly be. On behalf of the QBD Hervey Bay team and the QBD Team from Brisbane we would definitely visit again!
Awesome venue for breakfast lunch or dinner overlooking the marina. We had lunch there. Was a bit chilly outside but they had the shades down and a heater going so was very comfortable. I do suggest you book as it's very popular. Fully licensed.

As a table of four we shared a bottle of rose . We chose the Garlic prawns, thai calamari salad, seafood stack (one of theunch specials) and Coral trout. Everyone enjoyed their food. We were warned the kitchen was used and we might have to wait a bit. We didn't mind as we were warned and had our wine to enjoy, the view, and lively chat. Cost was $132 total and we felt it was worth it.
Seems to be dog friendly as a couple had their dog sitting with them under the table.
Recommend trying anytime of the day.

Had a beautiful dinner at the Cafe Balaena on the boardwalk down at the Hervey Bay Marina. The food was superb, the service terrific and the view and atmosphere unbelievable. Mum, Kenny, Trevor and myself thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The host/owner Dean is up with the best. Humorous and attentive. Great food, great prices a must place to go for locals and visitor's alike.
