Review Aegean Waters - Hervey Bay

Wow what an experience. We had escargot and salmon trout terrine for entree. For mains we had Beef Roularde and Mignon Rossini. The pictures speak for themselves. Food was very well presented, very tasty and hot. Exceeded our expectations. Service was excellent.

Our party of 4 agree with a 5 star rating for Aegean Waters. Our host was witty and met our needs. The meals were superb. Lovely French feel. We look forward to visiting again.

Absolutely amazing. We were greeted on arrival and had a beautiful table. Its a really charming restaurant with lots of character. You could be sitting anywhere in the world in this place, very lucky to have it right here in Torquay. We ordered escargot, lambs brains and garlic mini bagette for entree. Service was excellent from both waitresses. Mains we had, pork with pink peppercorn sauce, duckling with mandarin, and lobster mornay. Food was incredible. Highly recommended booking as they are booked out most nights. Thank you to the two lovely ladies who looked after us (one was the owner). Our little treat at the end of the meal was just incredible. Our son loved the smarties. We will surely be back on our next visit to Hervey Bay.

Wonderful. We felt we'd been transported to a family run Parisian restaurant. Liberty our host was very accommodating in giving us a late booking on a fully booked Wednesday. Her service was attentive and oh so professional. The food was outstanding, from the escargot, duck to the souffle the attention to detail in every dish was so precise. Thank you Liberty and Christian for a wonderful evening and the special treat of petit four. Très magnifique. Did I mention the souffle? Wow!

From the moment you walk in the whole experience is wonderful. Greeted by Liberty fabulous hostess friendly welcoming , the ambiance music and vibe is relaxing yet interesting . The restaurant is clean and comfortable . Food is all fresh and made by the wonderful chef on premises not to mention absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection . Absolutely without a doubt the best place to dine in Hervey Bay !!!! Highly recommend for special occasion or just to have fantastic food.

Absolutely smashing! The lobster was fresh, juicy and tender, the seafood crepe, was definitely on the top of the list. And the profiteroles were a surprise with crispy pastry shell and a warm, smooth custars on the inside.

First class dining experience. The ambience, food and service was excellent. A real treat, just down the road from the caravan park - felt like we had been transported to Europe.

If you want an experience, then Christian & Liberty are the hosts that can make it happen. Superb food, service with the care and love that only true artists can provide. We booked for 5.30 left after 11 and it went too fast. Thankyou both again

We wanted a special dinner to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. The obvious choice was Aegean Waters Restaurant. My wife had the Chicken, Avocado and Champagne followed by the Profiterole Parisienne for dessert while I had the Lamb Noisettes followed by the Chocolate Mousse Neuchatel. The plates on their return to the kitchen only contained some of the sauces that we couldn't mop up without resorting to licking the plates. The service, the food and its plate presentation, the ambience and the delightful Liberty, our hostess, were simply a joy. It made our special occasion even more special.

What an amazing night made better by the wonderful food and the wonderful people who shared and ensured our special night was a night to remember. Absolutely great food from the lobster, the duck and the amazing Bom Alaska to finish. Thoroughly recommend for that special or romantic occasion. Dan and Annette.

This is our most favourite restaurant in Hervey Bay. Consistently great food, excellent cocktails, great wine, relaxing ambience and fabulous staff! Perfect place for that special celebration or just because :-)

Richard and I absolutely love dining at Agean Waters. Its the go to restaurant in Hervey Bay. The food is absolutely devine, Liberty ,Christian and staff are always exceptional. There are many restaurants in Hervey Bay that have good food but Agean Waters provides the total dining experience. Everyone should dine here. Thank you Agean Waters for always making us feel so welcome.

Our favourite restaurant in the Bay by far. Liberty and Christian go out of their way to make us feel special every visit. Retro cocktail list and food style: Camembert salads, lobster mornay, beef Wellington...the list goes on and all done to perfection.

We booked here for our anniversary...1st time in 10 years of living here! Absolutely wonderful experience (and the food was great too!).

Why oh why don't we come here more often. Lots of places set out a bunch of tables and chairs, hang a picture on the wall and call themselves a restaurant. At Aegean Waters, you get a beautiful meal, great artwork, much of it created by Liberty, a lovely relaxing atmosphere, humour and just a wonderful evening. If it's a special occasion, go there. If it's not a special occasion, go there and Liberty and Christian will make it a special occasion. Treat yourself. It's wonderful.

This is a must dine when in Hervey Bay. Really great food and exceptional service. Must try chocolate soufflé

This predominantly steak restaurant run by I think a husband and wife team is quaint, opposite the bay and promises a delicious meal. <br/>However, when you advertise over your walls about steak and having it cooked properly.... Cook it properly... Simple

I have been eating here on and off for at least a decade. The service is top notch and the food is always brilliant.<br/>The chef has a unique style of presentation of the meals particularly with the vegetables which creates a superior dining experience.<br/>I have never once left there feeling even slightly disappointed.<br/>In fact I will be eating there again tonight.....provided I can get a a table at such short notice.

Fillet Mignon. Cooked just right medium rare. Old School French Ambience. What a fantastic little find! From the quirky beautiful welcoming doors to the unique decor, this proved to be a great dining experience. From the start, we were welcomed and not rushed in any way. The menu is comprehensive with classic French cuisine. The food was simply delicious and the portions were of a good size. In true French tradition, the main course followed after adequate time allowed after the entrees were served. It was good have this time to digest as the entree portions were a good size. Service was superb without being intrusive. <br/>Aegean Waters, you have found the perfect combination of Sensational Food, Ambience and Great Service. Cannot wait to go back for a second visit.

This was by far one of the worst meals in my entire life, and I haven't had many bad meals. The restaurant itself is old and dated, quite tacky actually. The waitress whom I assume is the owner has as much personality as a dead fish and was quite rude. But the food! Where do I start. For entrees we had the fried Camembert salad, salmon terrine and French onion soup. The Camembert was basically a shell of batter with minimal cheese. Terrine was still frozen and covered in thousand island dressing which was horrendous. And the soup tasted like it was from a packet. We thought surely the mains will be an improvement. We had the lamb cutlets with mustard which were covered in batter so thick we had to scrape it off and leave it on the side of the plate, and the mandarin duck which was average at best. Appalling. The drinks were horrible too. We laughed our way through the meal to make the time go quicker. Don't waste your money or your time here. The waitress wonders why business is slow... Well if they reassessed their decor, service and frozen meals perhaps they would realise there is not one good thing about Aegean Waters. Go to Coast instead.

Good Food. I have tried all the eateries in the Bay and am of the view the Aegean is the best.<br/>Without knowing who the waitress was, cannot comment on the service, but it takes two to Tango, what was the customers attitude like?<br/>Yes, price is top end, but so is the food.<br/>For good food and in my view good service the Aegean is the place to go.

Enjoy the experience. My husband and I have been dining at this charming little restaurant since moving to Herveybay four years ago. The food is consistently very good and the service is always attentive. It has a warm, unique and lovely atmosphere. We always enjoy the experience.

Just the worst. I can't recall if the food was good or bad 'cause I was just so shocked at how rude the waitress was. We were there for our aniversery, and I regret not standing up and walking out. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!!

Terrible. Don't waste your money, <br/>The food was the worst, expensive,cooked badly, greasy, grissle through the top shelf meat?- overdone to the max<br/>The waitress was so rude it was unbelieveable<br/>No one in their right mind would recommend or ever go back to this place

Complete merde. I was appalled by this place on two fronts - price and quality. Pretty much every restaurant in Hervey Bay is overproduced, but this one takes the cake. Forking out $22 for an extremely average terrine entree (covered in thousand island dressing no less) and $38 for a hugely disappointing beef wellington (severely overcooked; tasted like an old boot) ensured I will never return. Even the decore is overdone. Stick with Coast if you want a quality night out in the bay.
