Great spot for a casual Sunday pint, with the huge beer garden being great for sunny days. Really tasty chips but the portion size was pretty small compared to standard portions elsewhere.
The big breakfast here is great. A enjoyable choice in a sunny Sunday. Best.

Service was friendly although we did have to wait a long time to get our food. The staff there kept checking on us though and asking if we needed more drinks while we waited. šø
We got though a couple of bottles of their finest red wines (yum) and enjoyed a share taste plate (Queens plate) and some extra sides - everything was YUM! and plenty for two. The Buffalo cauliflower is to die for. The polenta chips are incredible. Iām considering writing a song about the home made sausage rolls. šø

Ordered crispy pork belly, brisket gnocchi, fish and chips and katsu chicken sandwich. Pork belly was lovely, crispy and fatty, the bok choy and sweet potato mash were good accompaniments. Katsu chicken burger was a crispy, juicy breaded chicken breast with slaw and bulldog sauce on thick sliced buttered bread with well-cooked beer battered chips. Fish and chips had the same beer battered chips with 3 portions of beer battered fish. Had a bone in one piece but was fresh with a light batter. Brisket gnocchi was a bit of a small portion but rich tasting with tender pulled brisket. Was about $25+ for each main.
Nice place to come to on a weeknight. Not too loud, and friendly, non-intrusive service.
Scrummy lunch - shared the grazing platter plus some wedges. Didnāt really need the wedges! Couldnāt finish it all - plenty of variety both meat and vego and all really fresh and delicious.
A lovely place for drinks on the bar or sitting down for a meal. A bit historic building and high ceiling, feeling quite spacious. The drinks are awesome ! Cold beer and nice sparkling. The food are awesome too. The sharing platter was too full for just two people, can feed four. Like the crackling salad in the middle. The blue cheese was really nice too. For another main the pasta was a bit overcooked, we didn't love the pasta to be too soft. All in all, a great evening with great service and environment.
The Queens was built in 1889 and has been serving the people of Perth drinks almost continually since that time. After undergoing extensive renovations in 1986, and further renovations in the early 2000s, the current pub is a contemporary venue with a nod to the siteās heritage.
One of our favourites, vibrant pub always busy with a restaurant attached. We always have one of their yummy salads. Can highly recommend the crispy pork belly and poached salmon salad.
Came here for lunch on Saturday! Service was lovely from both the wait staff and bar staff. We sat on the deck which was cute and quirky. The food and drinks were amazing. We used the entertainment book and for $55 got 2xmains and drinks. Worth a visit.
I go here all the time and it never disappoints!! The rye and pastrami, beef wellington, parmi, even the garlic bread is great! Always love the service too. Lisa was super helpful yesterday with my booking and the rebooking cuz my dads flight times changed.. Nynke was great looking after our table last night.! Great atmosphere and all round great pub
Friendly staff, the food we got was delicious I took a photo after starting eating my bad.. We got a drink each mojito was a little pricey ($15) for what I got but still nice. We got a few 'small' meals to share.

And a fried chicken also nice I would of preferred no sauce drizzle (just on the side) as blue cheese is super over powering for me but that partner enjoyed it. Overall would go back next time for dinner :)

One Tuesday in every month they host "Brewer's Loft" which is $5 pints from a guest host (coming up is Nail). A must for beer lovers.
An old favourite of many many years..... we sat in the outside area for lunch and a few drinks, what a beautiful day it was. Great selection of beers, I had the chorizo and prawn pizza, others had the burgers, needless to say the plates were collected empty. Just wish we could do this everyday!!š»
This bar is always busy. Great atmosphere and music. Bar service is always quick. a good place to hang out and catch up with friends. Some areas of the bar are not too loud so you'd still be able to chat.

I love the Queens but not sure this is a sufficient Pork Belly Bao bun. The flavours are there but perhaps be a bit more generous with the pork. Otherwise fantastic place, come here fairly regularly and is always a pleasure. Great staff and great atmosphere.

Gigantic place. Like seriously huge with some charm to it, brilliantly located on Beaufort street with loads of people enjoying drinks or food. We got there too late to get any, which was a bit annoying because even snacks were not on order, but the drinks were still going for at least another 2h. I think they should open their kitchen a bit later
Fantastic service, they looked after 36 of us yesterday at short notice after Mandoon Estate cancelled our booking for our Christmas party 1 hour before we were supposed to arrive, I know the weather was awful but... Ā We phoned the Queens and they gave us our own area, with bar staff and kept the food coming, nothing was too much trouble. Ā Love the $10 glasses of Mumm, good food and great service!!

Don't understand why this is still being called a tavern because they've been doing great food for years now, and as far as ALH places go this is the cream of their crop!
Past experience with The Queens hasn't been anything to write home about. So my expectations tonight weren't very high. I checked the menu online and was a bit let down to find out that the Matso's cider wasn't actually available (online menu had me hanging for one, as it's been a while). But I was pleasantly surprised by the calamari salad on the specials menu. The Tom yum sauce was delish!
An icon on the mount Lawley strip . A great pub where you can enjoy just a drink or a full blown meal. The lamb shank pie is a fav. Great to sit outside and watch the world go by.
Had some food here mid week recently and have to say very impressed with the quality of both our meals. Great place to relax, sit by the fire and have a few drinks on a cold winters night.
It's a pub in the middle of a restaurant strip. A nice place to catch up with friends. I happened to do a Friday night drinks and a Sunday late lunch on the outdoor patio. Overall, I think it is overpriced for the food. I tried the chicken wings which were small enough to come from pigeons and were dipped in BBQ sauce and lying on lettuce. The hot balls were good but should have one more. Thought 3 for $11 was borderline. The basket of chips was more a coffee cup of fries. And the trio of sliders should have been $18 not $22. The pork belly bites is a disaster hiding the poke belly in cabbage.
I think the margarita pizza is best value and tastes great.
the $28 OMG Burger. It was a poor attempt to have an "American Burger". Definitely had enough meat with double-waygu patties/bacon/pork belly/cheese. But it had absolutely no flavour. Couldn't even taste the BBQ sauce. But it did come with the $9 basket of chips.

Nothing better than to enjoy the beer garden on a war mush day. The beer is as it should be and the food tasty and sufficient. I prefer the side terrace area but have been out front and it's still cool. For me this is not an indoors pub at all. Can't explain ... just isn't.
Great food, great service. Couldn't fault it. Had German sausage, pork belly, steak sandwich and lamb noisette between our party. All dishes were A1!
My partner, son and friend often visited The Queen's before relocating. We always found the service was with a smile and there is no uncomfortable rushing around. The outside garden is such a fresh place to eat in the later morning sun. Beautiful little setting, local, good priced and the we favor the pizzas but have had burgers and other meals. All piping hot on arrival, and always have found it delicious and it hits the spot in all the right ways with an ice cold pint. If you enjoy a laid back, warm setting for a Sunday lunch - I say the queens! ;)
In terms of a cheap and cheerful pint and burger I can't go past the Queen's Hotel. The food is yummy and the beers are ice cold. Make sure you get a seat right on Beaufort Street so you can see all the action of the street.

It would be nice if the bar staff knew a little about the beers they served. She must have been new. They all seemed too busy talking to each other to serve you or help the new girl.

The queen comes up trumps. Lunch at the queen was a lay back casual affair with a great tasting plate for two , price was reasonable for the platter at 35$ , every component of the plate came up trumps an eclectic mix of taste sensations hit the spot as we marvelled at the free standing chimney hovering above our heads, staff were courteous and friendly and the food came out at a reasonable pace. there was a good selection of standard pub food with some more unusual selections available like emu kebabs well worth the effort .
After reading the reviews here I was skeptical but what a good night. Food was very tasty though maybe slightly overpriced - the steak and pizzas! Yum! Bar staff friendly and very helpful - the supervisor (very tall girl) was lovely in letting my wife's and my inexperienced beer palate taste a few different and very unusual beers before forking out $12 a pint for something we'd never had before. Thanks! we went back several times to taste and purchase more. My wife loved the mango and lime cider! We ended up on a table out he front and stayed many hours more than planned, people watching. This place has a great atmosphere and loads of different and unusual beers to try! Thanks for a lovely night!

We really just wanted to have a good catch up, a cold beer, a chilled wine and some good Pub grub ... and that's what we got.
The menu is extensive with a great variety of different meals. Three of us ordered Battered Fish & Chips, Nachos and Vegetarian Pizza. The meals were HUGE ... almost too big. None of us finished our meals. What we ordered was good pub style food so were very happy.
Atmosphere was wonderful and being a little on the cold side they had three fire places going. It was so nice sitting by the fire at the far end where it was somewhat quieter and we could talk.
Love the atmosphere of this place.

Cool Venue, good atmosphere. Besides practically being 'told' I didn't pronounce a type of wine correct, it was a good night especially for a week night. I can't comment on the food this time as my friend and I came here after dinner (at Mr Munchies - YUM!!) for a glass of wine and a good old chin wag. Originally we went to Must Wine Bar, but that was practically empty so we came across the road to the Queens which looked more alive. First we sat inside in a secluded area, which is a good spot if you want a intimate area with a boyfriend or girlfriend, but we wanted a bit more atmosphere. When a table was free moved out to the front which is great for people watching and being amongst it all. It wasn't a particularly cold night, but a heater that one of the staff members so kindly OFFERED to us was fantastic. All in all - cool venue, mostly friendly staff and a fun, relaxed vibe.
Previous visits (over a year ago) I've eaten the cajun chicken salad and been impressed every time.
FYI Queens Staff, Tempranillo is in fact pronounced tem-prah-nee-yo. Please get some education or don't patronise your patrons.

Had the surf and turf here. And if my manners hadn't have held me back I would have picked up that bone and sucked every last little bit of meat off it. It was so tender and delicious. The seafood was succulent. The creamy sauce could have had a bit more punch but was still tasty. You will feel fat and happy in no time after eating this generous dish
We had 7 different meals and they couldn't be faulted. Meals were so so quick and delicious. They were really busy as well! Couldn't fault this experience at all. AMAZING!

Really enjoyed. I went to The Queens on Tuesday 12th Nov for lunch with a friend, and we really enjoyed it. We are both I think sensibly discerning (ie discerning without being unreasonably picky). We both had the salmon fillet with roast rosemary potatoes, broccoli and almonds and it was a good dish. Served on sizzling griddle plate. The salmon was cooked well - lovely moist flesh but not underdone, and lovely crispy skin. The broccoli was very fresh and appropriately al dente. The potatoes were also very good - soft flesh but with lovely roasted skins. The buttery sauce and almonds made a nice, tasty finish. Altogether yummy dish and good sized portion. Washed down with bubbly (of course). We then forced ourselves (didn't resist too much, in fact) to have a sundae for dessert, which was refreshing and generous, along with some decent coffees.
I thought the value of the meal was on a par with many other decent eateries, and certainly better than some, so found nothing to complain of here. We found the wait staff to be friendly, pleasant and efficient. And the building has nice character. Will be going back again sometime.
A large group of us went and we were all really happy with our food. I had an amazing curry. I was very sceptical after reading some negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Great pub food and would recommend based on my couple of visits.

We had a lovely birthday lunch at Queens, beautiful service from Nadj and enjoyed our food. The vegan burger was great and chips so crunchy! Enjoyed the pizza and chicken wings too. My partner said the prawns were a touch dry but there was plenty of other food to share. Lovely venue and atmosphere. Thanks for welcoming us. We will be back.

I love the Tavern. It's good for catching up with friends over a tea or a coffee, last-minute drinks, if you want to have a nice meal at the restaurant, or just for having some food to share at the pub. Also, the food is fancier than what one normally expects at a pub! Staff is always nice and you always feel so comfy you always come back. š¤©š¤©š¤©
Busy place with live music, the main is a bit pricy but tastes good. friendly staff and relaxed place. Recommend. It would be the best if you could have more food options.
