Nice bar with a awesome alfresco area. Do good range of beers and wines. Really nice ambience to the place and good for summer time. Good food as well.
The Brisbane is a local pub for city people and it's the best pub so far I visited in Perth. The crowd here was very energised and it had a great advance decoration for Christmas. People very dancing and enjoying the Food and ambience. I would definitely rate 5/5 for the Ambiance and Food was great too. The Fried balls and PIzza with beer was heavenly.

A home away from home style venue, The Brisbane is cozy and consistent with very friendly staff. One of the leading customer-focused venues in Perth, they offer full table service throughout the entire venue!
The food is full-flavoured and made with fresh, local produce... try the pork belly it's delish! Their beverage list is vast, ranging from niche products (they have a strawberry and pepper gin!) to the crowd pleasers both on tap and packaged. PLUS they have happy hour, 5.30-6.30pm Mon-Fri which includes all draught beer/cider, wines by the glass and house spirits.
There are activities galore including FREE pool, a trolley full of games, sports on the big screen and industry related events. The Brisbane has an impressively varied patronage due to its inclusive policies. Kid-friendly, pet-friendly, wheelchair accessible, there is NO dress-code AND they have a dietary food menu that caters to gluten-free, vegetarian/vegan, dairy free and nut allergies.
Sit by the fire in winter or enjoy Perth's #1 beer garden in summer!

I’ve gotta say...this lamb, pumpkin and feta pizza has got to be one of if not the best pizzas I’ve ever had, could not fault it not one bit and to top it off it also had a garlic sauce on the base!! Those mini burger were also very tasty, surprisingly the patty was cooked well and still remained juicy, best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had!! And that cocktail...it speaks for itself 👌🏽👌🏽 All the staff were very friendly and great bartenders who know what they’re talking about and know what they’re doing!

Service was excellent and waiter was great. He remembered our orders without writing down and was so accommodating. Foot came out better than expected. Me and my partner got a few share plates and all were spot on. The chicken pate was exceptional and generous servings. We both wasn't expecting food to turn out so good but was nicely surprised.
Spectacular place to have a couple local beers and pub grub. I was even surprised to see Monteith's Pointers Pale Ale, a New Zealand beer that I previously only heard about through word-of-mouth. As for food I had some kind of flatbread pizza with rosemary and a side of hummus with hazelnuts... I would come back here next time I find myself in Western Australia:)
We both had steak one rear and one medium/ rear which was the best cooked and tasty steak I've had out in a long time.. Well done chef ...great waitress
Been to The Brissy so many times over the years. Was there again yesterday for a lunch meeting. The steak sandwich was super delicious. The s&p squid starter was also excellent. Friendly staff and fun vibes.
Food is tasty, but the menu is rather limited, and a touch pricey.
Service is pleasant and attentive, above average for Perth pubs.
The garden is lovely for sitting, but as soon as the sun goes down it gets too noisy for dinner conversation.
Wine list is outstanding, with a great selection at a variety of prices. The beer vessels however, do not look to be a standard pint, and the full line sits very low on the glass, but they are larger than a schooner. Looks sneaky.
Would recommend for a central location with good food, but not if you're fussy or careful with your coin.
We had our engagement party here on Saturday night (approx 40 people). The night was such a success. What a place for a party, awesome atmosphere, tunes and delicious bites to eat. I can not commend the staff enough, they were so professional, polite and delightful to deal with, especially on a very busy night with the beauvine festival next door. Highly recommened.
Great food, fillet steak with slaw and chips and Bernaise sauce. Cooked really well, great selection of beers, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Have not been here in years and years but came one Saturday night for dinner. Thoroughly impressed by the menu - not your typical pub food. The gnocchi and chicken was extremely tasty. Ultimate comfort food. The polenta chips were crunchy and de lightly presented like jenga. Side salads of Italian coleslaw and quinoa were nice and fresh tasting. The squid was tender. The steak was massive. Really impressed!
Friendly accommodating staff and the possibly the best steak sandwich in Perth. The Big Hoo Haa after dinner on a Saturday night makes for a great evening.

We had a birthday dinner last night at the Brisbane Hotel. The twice cooked pork belly was beautiful, however portion sizing could be more generous... But the quality was of a really high standard. The bartender recommended a really great Shiraz as well. I will come back :)
What is it with your home made sausage rolls?? I can never come by for a drink or two without ordering them! So good!
I met a few friends here in the courtyard last month, for a pleasant evening of food, chat and wine. The Brisbane courtyard is the perfect venue for this time of year, with its leafy greenery, colourful cushions and lovely water feature.
We ordered Margherita pizza with olives, polenta chips and chicken parfait with toasted baguette and chutney. All of the food was delicious, with the chicken liver parfait being the standout. There are several places around town making excellent versions of this and duck liver parfait, and it's good to know that a pub can make a version that stands up to some of the best.
We arrived for happy hour at 5.30 when most drinks are $8 a glass, so needless to say we ordered several glasses each of the best quality wines.
Service was friendly as always, and I'm happy to say that every foodie experience I've had here has been a positive one.
Had some drinks and pizzas with friends visiting from Sydney few weeks ago. Service was good, or waitress was very attentive. I find it a great summer hangout place.
We drove over to the Brisbane hotel on a Sunday evening. Found paid parking at the venue at about 2:30. First hours free. About an hour later there was a sudden rush of people, Perth glory supporters. The bar was packed, lines up to the outdoor area. That lasted about an hour and then it was half empty. Had an early dinner, we were lucky to find a table. I ordered the linguini prawn -garlic chilli spinach. It took about 20 minutes to arrive but I enjoyed it, it tasted fresh and light. Group shared a chicken pizza and chips which they didn't like, I didn't try it. Service was good considering how busy it was when we arrived. I really like the venue and I'll probably order the linguini again if I go back.
One of my regular watering holes because the food draws me in. A little pricey but I don't mind paying for it when it's good. The homemade sausage rolls, chips, and pizzas are a standout in my eyes. They're always updating their cocktail menus but their sangria was the BEST I've ever had.
Pizzas here hit the spot and the beer garden is a great place to while away the afternoon with friends. One of my favourite local establishments.

Inside, the traditional pub elements have been modernised to create an informal and relaxed dining experience. The Brisbane’s ethos is on delivering excellent service, focused on engaging with the customer and producing quality food. To top it off the Brisbane offers a comprehensive and distinctive wine menu. Modelled on the ‘gastro pub’ style traditionally found in Europe the Brisbane Hotel provides a familiar pub-style experience with the expertise of a fine dining restaurant.
Inside, I was seated at one of the two informal long tables which offered rustic, old age charm and a friendly atmosphere, perfect for a Tuesday night’s entertainment. Armed with a wine list, I chose the Howard Park ‘Jete’ sparkling rose. Light and crisp, the rose was the correct balance of sweetness for me. I am a keen sweet wine drinker and love a late harvest Verdelho. A selection of classic share plates were then presented for entree which included the famous Brisbane Hotel sausage rolls, chicken liver parfait, beef cheek taco and mushroom and mozzarella arancini.
The Chicken Liver Parfait with fig & pear chutney and baguette was divine! The parfait was fresh, smooth in texture and melted in the mouth while the chutney was a perfect addition, chunky in composition it complimented the parfait beautifully. The baguette was warm and provided the wholesome bed, creating a modern savoury delight that would be fitting of a fine dining restaurant. The parfait has been on my mind ever since and this entree alone is worth a trip to the Brisbane. The same can be said for the notorious Brisbane Hotel sausage rolls, rustic, beautifully crafted, wholesome, and packed with flavour offering a traditional style food favourite with a classic modern twist.
The beef cheek taco presented in a group of three offered a colourful display and a nice light option to start. While the mushroom and mozzarella arancini on a bed of tomato sugo were cooked to perfection, golden brown on the outside and hot and delicious on the inside. Packed with flavour, the arancini are always a crowd pleaser.
For my main course, I chose the eye fillet 300gm, accompanied with a hearty bed of Italian slaw, a portion of fries and bearnaise sauce. The meat was tender and flavoursome. I have found it particularly hard to get a steak in Perth cooked to my liking, I often find the meat is tough and has lost its juiciness by the time it gets to the table. The bearnaise sauce was thick in consistency, creamy and buttery and tasted delicious with the steak and chips. I struggle to finish my main due to the large portion size. When my steak arrived at the table there were a few envious glances, however, I heard that the duck and deconstructed caesar salad was also excellent and the empty plates proved it.
After dinner, we made our way upstairs to lazy Susan’s Comedy Den for Shapiro Tuesday, where a mixture of first-time comedians and professionals get on stage to try their hand at standup. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how genuinely funny the range of comedians, particularly the newbies were. For the bargain price of $5 it is a cheap and cheerful night out guaranteed to either make you laugh at the jokes or the people making them.
As a hub of the city, the Brisbane hotels is the perfect location as it is easily accessible with ample parking, if you are thinking of venturing out particularly on a weeknight, I highly recommend checking out what Lazy Susan entertainment gem has to offer.

Just had lunch at the Brisbane for the first time, although given it has the same menu as the Boulevarde in Floreat, which I've been to a few times, I kind of knew what to expect. I had salmon with beetroot carpaccio, seasonal greens and celeriac remoulade. It was a lovely dish, despite a slightly controversial selection of greens which included brussel sprouts and kale. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. For $34 it seemed pretty reasonable too. A friend had the koftes, which for an entree was a remarkably generous dish. Service was attentive and friendly, and there was a nice fire going, which was perfect for a miserable rainy day. All in all a lovely spot for lunch.
Always good ambience to be found here. Excellent pub food also. Beetroot carpaccio is spot on and the steak sandwich is delicious. Service is always outstanding also. Can't loose at the Brisbane.
I have to admit we weren't expecting very much coming into the Brisbane. Alissa and I are not big fans of most Pub Grub since it so often sacrifices quality for quantity, however Alissa and I were suitably impressed by the quality of the food we were served on the night. The Dude Food style of the dishes and the large serves showed a restaurant that was respectful of the Working Man's Pub origins of the Brisbane Hotel while elevating this kind of food to a much higher level of finesse and skill than is usual for such a venue. The Sausage Rolls and Confit Duck Egg, Homemade Mushroom Tortelloni, Porcini Brodo in particular were real standouts, however there was not a bad dish amongst the lot we tried. Combined with the clever idea of marketing Tuesday nights as a Dinner and Show, The Brisbane and Shapiro Tuesdays makes for an affordable night out on the town.
More sophisticated than your average watering hole, the Brisbane rose from the ashes several years ago to morph into a gastro pub serving good food in convivial surroundings. In summer the garden is the ideal spot to chill out with your buds for a few hours, while in winter the Brisbane's inner sanctum offers warming mid-week specials at reasonable prices. It helps that the staff are gregarious and friendly; nothing is too much trouble for these guys, bless 'em.
The Brisbane turns the idea of pub food on its head with its top notch pizzas and tasty share plates - the beer list is pretty class as well. We had great afternoon here – rugby league game or not I would head back in a heartbeat for a meal or a few drinks. From the beautiful green alfresco area to the classy restaurant and casual pool tables, whatever the weather or the mood, The Brisbane will have a place where you will feel right at home.
It was a sad day when the prawn linguini was removed from the menu.... However still a menu crammed with simply good food that is perfect in both summer and winter!
We were one of the first to arrive for lunch but it wasn't long before the place was buzzing. Not surprising given the location, menu and the perfect weather in Perth that day. The venue is well spaced both inside and out, which meant we could enjoy the atmosphere of a full house but maintain a certain level of intimacy.
The staff were attentive but not excessively so. The mouth watering meals were cooked to perfection and this definitely sealed the date day deal for both of us.
When you seriously contemplate licking the plate and you are already discussing a return visit before this one is over, it has to be pretty special.
I would start with the parfait, finish with the crème brûlée and choose your own adventure in between.
Late dinner & wasn't disappointed - the beer battered barramundi was cooked to perfection...generous serving ! Great selection of wines !
I took a particular liking to the chicken liver parfait and also enjoyed the arancini balls. I throughly enjoyed the confit duck leg where a decent portion of juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned duck is presented. I also loved the mushroom filling in the tortellini which carried a real earthiness.
Good Food, Average Service. We went here for dinner a couple nights ago, the service was pretty average but the food that came out was yummy.. We had to ask for everything rather than be attended to and it just wasn't all that friendly. The food however came out in a decent time and was very nice.
Needs a face lift?. Every few months I have lunch at the Brizzy. I have never been really disappointed, but recent visits have revealed a definite downturn in the overall service. The Brizzy food is expensive compared to many places of similar ilk. When such prices are matched by great food and service and then OK... but it is not. It is hard to take a waiter seriously if they are dressed for the gym. - or in one case dressed as a homeless person. .A bottle of wine should not be opened before arriving at the table (what if it is the wrong wine?). I will be going less to the Brizzy unless the old standard that made it famous is brought back.
We will return. I've eaten here a couple of times. Excellent service, good food (if a little pricey), great atmosphere. The beer is overpriced and they need to put a stout or porter on tap but this won't stop me returning. Definitely one of the better pubs in Perth.

Is this the best service and hospitality that you will find in WA? It is quite possible! We eat out at least 10 times a week .....and these guys just blow us away with exceptional service. It is a pleasure eating and drinking here. The bar staff take the time to find out what you like, and the service staff are very polite and helpful. The chef rocks!!!! You might think that salads are boring????? ...try there cabbage and Parmesan coleslaw .....sensational! It is refreshing to talk to bar staff who understand and appreciate the drinks that they are selling! If you are a drink, food or service snob then you need to try this place ....They are very good!

The salmon and potato croquettes are delicious, as is the Tuesday roast special, which includes a glass of house Shiraz for $25. No wonder it's reservation only.
Only negative would be the last few beers I've had were a touch on the flat side. Cold enough, but only 50% gassy.
Come on Brisbane - don't sell us flat beer!

Was surprised to read the bad reviews regarding service at The Brisbane. The staff were attentive, polite and personable, perhaps to a fault! Remedied a situation where my friend was unhappy with his meal by happily bringing out an alternative that he requested instead. Great with clearing the table, removing beer mat for a fresh one when bringing out a new beer and bringing salt, asking if we wanted the heater on, replacing napkins etc. Never seen such attentiveness by several staff member who regularly checked on us. Guessing that management has read some of the bad reviews on here. Prices a bit high, 9.90 for a bowl of chips and mains up to $40.
I loved it! Food was amazing, service was faultless & ambience was delightful. We did go on a rather cold, bleak, drizzly Tuesday so the place was not full. Would be interesting to compare what service is like on busier days. We will definitely be back. Good value.

Visited for lunch and found the staff to be friendly and meal large and delicious. We had the steak sandwich, linguini and salt & pepper squid.
Lovely, just lovely.. So glad this is right near my work as I love coming here for a nice long lunch. Service is wonderful, staff who love their job, are bright and happy and know how to serve correctly.
Food is always lovely, especially the shared plates. Only criticism, is that the meals are HUGE and I feel bad I can't eat it all (and trust me, I LOVE my food!)

Great atmosphere. The Brisbane's outdoor area is always a pleasant place to chill out, even in the heat! They have a great wine list and the food is awesome too. I've tried several of the menu items by now and all of them have been tasty - from the pizza to the prawn linguine to the calamari. I'll definitely keep coming back to this place!

Seafood Tortelloni !!. it was a hot day when we arrived at the brisbane hotel for lunch, so we opted for an air conditioned table inside. and, actually i don't think we've ever dined anywhere other than their courtyard because the decor inside was awesome and surprising, spartan and clean with wooden floors and an open fire place (not lit). the tables are nicely set apart. impressive.
as usual the service was fast and efficient and our wine and food arrived shortly after ordering. the seafood tortelloni looked delicious, large pasta cases filled with prawn and barramundi in a saffron bisque and each one topped with a large tiger prawn. it sounds good right, well it was amazing. all the flavours worked so well together. a memorable meal in a very nice environment. kudos.
an interesting fact: the boulevard and the brisbane hotels are sister hotels created by geoff hayward and are styled in the same fashion, with similar menus. think i will be revisitng the boulevard shortly.

Leisurely Lunches. lunches at the brisbane are leisurely, especially if you snag a table outside near the fountain in summer. the background music seems to come out of the trees and lowers conversations around you to a hum. the service is always cheerful and attentive, the food is always good and the atmosphere is the icing on the cake.
food highlights for me ... their pizza crust is awesome, thin and crisp, it was perfect in fact. the fish and chips are great, although you'll need an appetite to finish all on the plate.
oh, and a great wine list.
Great food and bar. Come here quite often as I work down the road. Food is always generous portions and taste great. They do fantastic chips, their pizzas are good and I have enjoyed a salmon with salad too. Great bar with good wine list. The outdoor area is fantastic for the summer.
I love the Brisbane because of its atmosphere. The outdoor area is beautiful, no tv to disturb you, nice wine list and friendly staff makes you feel great. I can't wait to try the food next time.

It's actually a great place to eat & drink. Plenty of outdoor seating, well set out indoor seating areas. Great food & drinks and a quiz night on a Thursday night. Please add the wings you had a few weeks back to the menu with like a ranch or blue cheese sauce 😊
A small group of us visited the Brisbane today for a lazy public holiday lunch and we were thrilled with the customer service. The staff went so far as to get to know us all by name, and we also noticed another staff member give cups of fish food to a group of kids who were fascinated by the fish pond. The food was nice, the venue has a great relaxed atmosphere and the level of the service was really memorable.
