Review Islanders' Tavern - Hindmarsh

Not only is the food here awesome, the views at sunset is spectacular too. No misses here. Best buffalo wings we had. Very authentic flavours with tender juicy wings. Garlic bread was unique too. Crispy outside & soft inside. Fish & chips was the best we had in South Australia so far. For the “hungry hippo”, the Big D burger 🍔 is the answer. Juicy & thick double beef patty cooked to medium well with onion rings & fries. The Kale salad with fried cheese was very delicious too. Kudos to the chef.

Went to dinner here twice while on holidays, with my hubby, 10/10, best food I have eaten, wish it was our local. Pork and noodles, beef and broccoli, Tasmanian Salmon and a spaghetti and beef. Friendly customer service, great cocktails, very clean, fantastic food. There online menu, needs updating, more things on menu, and prices have increased. Cheers

We ate here two nights in row on a brief holiday. Food was really superb, staff were very friendly. Wonderful broad menu.

When we finally got our meal the food was delicious. We waited an hour for fish & chips with no apology or explanation. This was after the barman basically walked away without taking our order or those behind us before saying 'he'd be back in a minute'. He disappeared out the back, brought a plate of food to the till area, did something and then disappeared again leaving one of the other two to cover as they appeared not to know what was happening either. We also noticed a member of the staff tending to one of two young pups from a pen next to the main entrance during the time we were waiting for our meal. Felt like we were a number and we were extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service. I would hope if we were ever to return to receive the service anyone would expect and is entitled to.

One of the best schnitzels I've had in a long time!! I highly recommend coming here for a meal. The service is friendly, the location is spectacular and the food is delicious.

Have been to the Islanders Tavern a few times for dinner and had a great experience each time but went for lunch over the long weekend and the view was wonderful. Was a gorgeous day, loved looking over the marina - even saw a seal putting on a show. The staff were super friendly and helpful at all times - they really went above and beyond. The menu is very extensive but we settled on pub classics which were delicious and generously sized as well as reasonably priced. There's a large grassed area next door and playground for the kids to enjoy. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Had dinner here on Monday night and the food was spectacular as usual. Third time here now and tried several different speciality menus ... everything sensational. Be adventurous and order from the themed blackboard menu, you will not be disappointed .... perfectly balanced, perfectly seasoned, generous servings, great service, great outlook ... cannot fault a thing. Will be a regular dining option for us, thank you.

Friday night dinner here and the place was pretty well packed. If you're dining here you have to try their cheesy garlic bread. Wow. Parmy was also well cooked with fresh salad and chips. Great view out the window, could easily settle in for longer.

Great place for kids glad it’s under new management food is good would love to see a wood pizza oven I personally think they should change the chips and then it would be perfect

Best food I have had in ages. Recommended menu selection. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Wish we lived closer to come more regularly. Hope to be back soon.

Food is excellent, staff are friendly and efficient and the setting is wonderful. Definitely worth a visit or two.
