Delicious food, great wine menu, attentive service. Beautiful cosy dining room.
Great atmosphere, excellent food and fabulous service. Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience with our friends at landscape for a 6pm sitting. 4 adults and 3 children (5, 5, 3). The service from the host was superb, he was polite, attentive and charming and made a special effort to accommodate the children (a menu that let them explore new tastes, colouring in book, prompt dinner service). The sommelier was also engaging and managed to take us off menu for some rare and interesting wines. The dinner was exceptional from beginning to end.
We have recently moved to Tassie and eat out frequently. We are so happy to have a restaurant of this quality in our new back yard. Will be back - regularly!
This is quite a traditional menu with a strong emphasis on steak and is not cheap. They did however allow us to share a variety of dishes. Every dish we tried was very well cooked and delicious. I especially liked the calamari, gnocchi, Berkshire pork and the steak lovers enjoyed their steaks. Service was attentive and helpful. Lighting was somewhat dark but that may be because of the many original John Glover paintings (probably worth several million) hanging in the restaurant
So amazing and delicious, thank you Joan for being and amazing waitress! x
Such a love place to was simple and expertly cooked just perfect! Best oysters we had
The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and wine and the building
We have had four days in Hobart and went to Franklin and several other very good restaurants but this was my favourite. The other lighting in the restaurant is perfect. Service was outstanding and the food divine

Friendly staff. Love the decor of the place. Beef tartare was delicious, the caviar on those tempura oysters, very nice touch. And the spicy saffron and tomato stew for the chargrilled seafood was my favourite for the night. Pleasant experience overall.
Excellent position, walls dressed with amazing John Glover artwork originals from the Farrell family private collection, atmosphere quiet and velvety.
Service brisk and sharp, entree’s were amazing from sashimi (pictured) through to fresh King prawns and amazing local oysters.
Mains; we all ordered steaks with much promise from the port barrel flamed grill, unfortunately they appeared to be cooked in a rationale and then placed on the grill for effect.
I had the sirloin with lobster, nice cut, tender, well cooked just not what I was expecting RE flavours.
Desert was nice and well accompanied with port.
At $225 per head on a table of four not cheap.
Not bad, could improve, would give another go!

The interior is like a dark gallery with a modern touch. Food there was top notch.
For entree we got smoked beef tartare and tempura oysters. The beef tartare was a fresh product packed with flavours. The oysters were delicate and the salmon roe were great quality.
Main I got the special grilled fish with asparagus and cavier. It was very nicely seasoned and the fish was perfectly cooked - tender and crispy. My partner got the rib eye steak which was also cooked perfectly.
The only dish I wouldn’t order would be the duck fat chips, it was ok but a bit too thick and oily.
Service was amazing! I left my bag and they were kind enough to wait for me to get it back.

Absolutely amazing food. One of the finest meals I have had in Hobart. My steak was cooked to perfection and the smoked beef tartare was melt in your mouth delicious. The staff were super friendly as well. Landscape has one of the most impressive wine menus I have seen and the restaurant is surrounded by amazing paintings.
We visited Landscape restaurant for my birthday, which was organized by my partner as a surprise for me. We ordered oysters which my partner loved, I didn’t mind them but I’m also not a massive oyster fan. We both ordered steaks, which seem to be their specialty, both cooked to perfection exactly as we ordered. The wine list was extensive, with both local and international varieties.
For a surprise for my birthday, my partner has pre-organized for me to have a dessert brought out to wish me happy birthday with a lit candle etc. They must have completely forgot about this as they came to ask us if we wanted to have dessert and my partner had to awkwardly remind them of what he had already organized via phone call prior, thus ruining the surprise. For this I have given a 4.5 rating, otherwise the service was excellent and so was the food.
We would recommend this place to people wanting to have a meal for a special occasion.
