OK, so pigs ears is not for everyone but I shared this dish with three other people in my group and WOW. Amazing. The food is way beyond pub grub. MUST GO THERE. you won't regret it. So good.

Three of us ate at the New Sydney this evening. There was live music and a pleasant atmosphere but I will not go back there again. The meals were ok, slightly on the expensive side but I accepted that. I paid the bill which for three of us it was $153. Rather expensive for a single course meal.

The food here is expensive and of average quality. Shepherd's pie was mince and mash. Tasted okay. No salad pretty oily. The Cauliflower pie glutinous and salad was o ff. This pub is must if you’re in Hobart. Beautiful roaring fire as advertised. The staff are lovely and the food is beautiful. Best pub feed I’ve ever had. Special mention to the delicious sticky date pudding for dessert.

Ash and Clara looked after us so well. We came for the Irish musicians, we stayed for the hearty food. Great atmosphere, and the best Shepard's pie and Brisket we've ever had.

New Sydney have been great hosts for 'Beer+Bubs- birth education for men' every month. We've used The Chapel upstairs room, which is private and spacious. I've appreciated the helpful staff, huge parmis, and great beer :)
