Great coffee, even better service. The staff are fantastic. Reasonable prices for a great location. You can sit inside, outside on the sidewalk facing the docks or even in the covered atrium out back. We chose the atrium today to get out of the cool breeze, it was full of light and sunny, very pleasant and peaceful.

Located in the old IXL Jam Factory this cafe is located only a short walk from the Grand Chancellor and immediately adjacent to Henry Jones. The coffee is good and the out door seating adds to dining experience. Most tables are close to overhead heaters. There is a good breakfast menu.

We had breakfast there twice when staying in Hobart. Highly recommend. Situated in the historic IXL Henry Jones building. Plenty of history and art all around.

Very poor form by staff on a dietary requirement. Despite double checking when ordering that we ordered the gluten free option meal and again asking when it was delivered to the table that the bread was gluten free and being dismissively told it’s all gluten free, waitress then advises (when half meal is eaten) that oh it’s actually not gluten free. This careless mistake triggered a migraine and intense nausea and gut pain and all before boarding a flight for home.
Lift your game Jam Packed and educate your staff on the seriousness of food allergies. If someone orders a gluten free option, check with the chef that it’s actually gluten free…. no excuses!

Service was quite bad, we made a booking on Saturday for the sofa seat but they only reserved a normal table seat for us, the manager on Sunday asked me to wait till the customers in the sofa area to finish their meal and said it was not a big deal where to sit, we have 3 adults and two young kids, sofa will be easier for us, we turned to Mures instead where has far better service!
Thanks for replying my review Jam Packed, i think you have given some false information, I asked the lady manager how long I need to wait for the Couch but she said she didn’t know, no one said 5 minutes! the couch they offered to me is only the one next to the entrance which is supposed to provide to the customer who were waiting for the takeaway, and it is not enough for 3 adults and 2kids at all!

Absolutely loving the new menu, caesar salad is one of the best I've had, smashed avo with feta and eggs option omg, great mix of old and new styles of food, atrium is a lovely open space with tables and lounges for relaxing with coffee and cake! Sooo good on a rainy or cold day to be cosyvand sheltered from weather but be warmed by the sun through atrium and watch the weather unfold in comfort!! Service with a smile and something for everyone on menu, even great for a sneaky wine in the afternoon and both menu and space is kid and pram friendly. Oh and the range of retail tassie goodies in providore is diverse and authentic, honey, wine, truffle salt, Chocolates, nuts, sauces, lollies and jam of course! Superb combination! Coffee is great, as are tassie pressed juices! LOVE

Well, I've been here once and had an incredibly average yet overpriced meal with only-just-can-be-bothered service. Even so, I might have tried again at some point but given you're now telling your customers how to vote there's no way I'll ever be back.

I will never eat here again. There are three reasons. I had a terrible coffee the other day (close to unforgivable, but young struggling staff so was willing to let that pass) accompanied by achingly slow service (same comment applies as that bracketed above) BUT the clincher is: political messages on your receipts. Disgraceful. One family of customers, and whoever else I can convince, gone.

Staff seemed put out by my visit yesterday, I approached an un-reserved table for 2 near a heater and was quickly ushered to a table by the cold damp wall, lack lustre staff served me and upon payment by Cash đź’° dropped the notes and coin change into my palm without even smiling or even saying thank you! 1/10 might never return

I've been a regular for breakfast over the past few years as JP was a standout but recently the Big Breakfast has become small with less content and only one small piece of toast - I think you've lost me as a client .... most staff are excellent and service times have always been OK
