Whilst I consider myself a "porridge connoisseur " (how sad) and have always argued the Criterion Street Cafe porridge is the best, today it met its match. The porridge at Patanella is outstanding. Just try it.
Incredible. I rolled home feeling so content and looked after, wrapped up in an blanket of Italian love and tirramisu.

Patanella has great coffee and a good range of truly beautiful food. The environment is fun, there's always fabulous music playing. Service is friendly and sincere. I'm delighted to have discovered this gem 😍
Rose's place is fantastic. Her food is healthful or naughty according to your preference, and is always delicious. My mum and I ate there every day of our stay in Hobart. A big hearted, inviting place to eat, drink ,and pass the time.

Great food, great service. My friends came here for 3 days in a row. I only got to go once before we left hobart but will be straight back when we return. Even going to pick up a coffee and some records on my way to the airport. A proper cozy cafe where yr cups are not matching and they know how
If you want genuine delicious Italian food made with love then this is the place. The owner Rose is so lovely and makes you feel at home and the gnocchi is the best I’ve ever had (and I’m Italian 😉)
