Ordered room service for breakfast, and both meals were stone cold. No garnish, no condiments, and coffees are tiny. But the hotel was very apologetic and had great customer service for a solution.

We started with drinks here and that was most pleasant. It was buzzing as the place seems quite popular. We moved on to dinner in the adjacent dining room. I had the pork cutlet with asparagus, potatoes and brie wrapped in prosciutto. OK, the presentation (and the menu) is a bit 80s but I couldn’t care less to be frank. I found the food very tasty. The cutlet was delicious, the prosciutto and brie lovely and the asparagus beautifully cooked. I enjoyed it very much. Others enjoyed their dishes too. The cheese platter to finish was a beauty. It was a very good size with mighty good slices of hard, soft and blue cheeses with ample biscuits and a lovely selection of fruits, nuts and other goodies as well. I’ve been served with half the amount and lesser quality for twice the price. So, I thought the platter was a cracker.
The cream on top here is the staff. They were all utterly delightful. Young, energetic and hard working. Polite, knowledgable and very efficient as well. All four or five of the front of restaurant staff are a credit to the restaurant and the hotel.
I liked it here and so did my colleagues. I would very happily return and likely will.

Very friendly and funny staff, Candice is really great and the food is great too, I have ordered the ham&egg pizza and the local catch, finally don’t need to eat fried fish or fish and chips😅
Very comfortable chair and a big table for two.
Town view
I will recommend people to come here, thanks

It is located in the heart of Hobart city in a convenient location. Part of Best western hotel. Ordered 2sides for $12 ordered chips and roasted cauliflower. Also ordered Pizza bread. Food is great but pricey..Ambience is also great..

I ordered the chargrilled steak and it was a bit burnt and I ended up asking for the waitress to replace it, the chef suggested for pan cooked steak. I felt that if the chef had just cook it properly, it won’t have the burnt taste. I enjoyed the dessert which is a strawberry panacotta.

Average food but what was even worse was the service and the wait! Had to wait upwards of 40 minutes for our food (A pizza and a pork cutlet) with little staff interaction or reason. 15 minutes after ordering my drink csme out (lemonade) and a staff member asked to confirm my order as they "might have put the wrong one". Will not be going back.

Atmosphere was pleasant with live music, and canepes served around the bar. Main dish of gnochi was swimming in oil that drowned out any flavor it had. The main of fish of the day was well cooked, but also contained a large amount of oil. Desert of chocolate crepes was delicious abet a bit dry. Lemon delicious held up to its name, and the affogato was similarly morish. Staff were relatively attendant as they could be with several other large tables showing.

The food was absolutely amazing; and the Chef (Kyle) so abiding to all our special requests - nothing was a bother. Customer service from the moment we walked in was wonderful; along with the delicious food - our night was just perfect. Highly recommended. Zack is so lovely on the floor, should be congratulated for his service. Got room service our second night and back in the restaurant the third night - Sigrid was our waitress and she's a great asset to this place !

Booked a table last night - rather last minute and happily accommodated. Ordered 2 Scotch fillets and both were cooked to the requested liking. Very polite and prompt service from a lovely young lady with maybe an Irish accent?? I used an entertainment card on payment to receive a decent discount off the 2nd meal ordered and this was promptly acknowledged and deducted from my bill. Will definitely be back. Keep up the good work 👍

A restaurant in the middle of Hobart, wont take entertainment card! Good grief.
I guess that could be because the food certainly isnt entertainment.
House bread -bland, not tasteless but bad taste;
Scotch fillet steak - chewy, gristly, accompanied by soggy boiled potatoes.
Embers Bar Pizza Grill - a good place not to visit!!!!

Great wood fire pizza and desserts were beautiful

Was there for breakfast after a night in the hotel above.
It's a real shame that the cooked food was cold especially the poached eggs... like they just came out of the fridge. The service was great. Probably won't go back any time soon..
